I never knew "Jem" had a toyline, or if I did, it was just TV advertising junk that passed me by because I wasn't the target demographic. As I wrote in the comments for the ad for this episode, I really think that the person behind the "She-Ra" reboot took inspiration from "Jem": the holographic computer, the color palette, the fact that the secret identity is a open secret (though in the new show, "She-Ra" is more of a collection of powers than an alternate personality).
3:00 At some point, tbe DC writers retconned Superman's glasses into "Kal-El projects/mass hypnotizes the population into seeing the form of an older man when he is Clark Kent." Because it bugged somebody THAT badly.
