18 yrs ago yesterday i bought this album at Turtle Records in Atlanta as a young teenager. skated on my skateboard there. anyone from atlanta knows august is HOT HUMID ass weather.... even tho, the album had me feeling cooler than a polar bears tonail oh hell. congrats outKast with a K to having a long career and an album that is still as relevent and just as hot as it was 18yrs ago. Love how Andre and Big Boi are leading everybody into uncharted territory in this video. It's like, "c'mon y'all, we know the way, just follow us and don't get lost." It's metaphor for how they led all of us to a purer form of hip hop and music in general. These guys got soul, integrity, and their producers are H-O-T. Just listening to the snare and the overdubbed vocal effect proves how smart they are. This album and Aquemini are my favorites.
