'Outlander' stars Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin are dishing to ET about the season five premiere! Exclusives from #ETonline : • NEW From Entertainment...
Will always have a special place in my heart for Claire & Jamie! As for Sam and Caitriona, they are the reason we keep coming back; because of their natural chemistry that comes through when acting. 5 years in and chemistry is still there. Their giggles at one another's comments, being able to tell what the other is thinking at a particular moment and so much more! I hope this never ends, but all good things must come to an end!
Love how Sam and Cait have been doing the love scenes for much longer than Sophie and Richard, yet they get more awkward with those questions😂 they’re so cuteee
Haha oh caitriona, I love her! Cause she's right! Jamie did seem like ugh I don't like you but I'll deal with you and make you the best I can so this will be the best for my daughter
The body language between Sophie & Richard is very different than Cait & Sam''s. You can tell that they have played married for a long time because they sit like they are.
Just started watching this, just brilliant acting and scenery, love it. The love scenes are outstanding and so real. The flogging of Jamie's back was Horrific to watch, I bet he didn't think about his back when he was having the sex with Claire
Ropsana Khanom the four of them and more! I love how the Fraser family and the Ridge evolves. Very anxious to see how the TV Production works it all in! I was very happy to meet Josiah Beardsley in Ep.1, and cannot wait to see how he plays his twin brother too!
I think Roger is right about the scene being put together with music and the performance of the actors is what makes it so special. The whole episode was perfectly done, each character gave beautiful reflections into their feelings and thoughts.
Yes it is. Have to chuckle. Her accent is middle America. I live 45 minutes north of Boston, and that is not a Boston accent. I'll give her a pass since her parents are English.
It will be interesting to watch this season. I am confident Cat's husband has requested "distance" between her and Sam. It has already been noticed and the chilling when off cam is in full swing. So....who takes the couple's lead this season? Bree/Roger or Marsoli/Fergus? My bet is that its Marsoli/Fergus. They have great (and growing) chemistry which contrasts the awkward and clumsy acting by Bree and the total lack of chemistry between Roger and Bree. It can be cring-worthy at times. Claire/Jamie are likely going to take the backseat regarding the famous outlander romance scenes...or more specifically, the sexual scenes. IMO, Bree was miscast from the beginning and the show is struggling to make that work. Richard Rankin has way more skill and frankly, more life experience to inform his acting. Sophie is simply an immature actress waaay over her head on this show. It's a shame and I see Richard trying but....
I am now MYSELF starting to notice the lesser chemistry between Cait and Sam. I guess with all of the press they've been doing they probably get on each other's nerves after awhile. I dunno over the last year it has gradually started to look this way. There are still some funny moments like with the TVGuide "Jamie or Disney Character" that Sam and Cait did in one room and Sophie and Rik did in another (Rik and Sophie didnt do so well). Funny stuff. They still have on camera chemistry though. At the wedding when they flash back to their OWN wedding gave me goosebumps. Yup a Valentine's Day love montage....I wondered if they would ever actually cross cut Bree/Roger and Claire/Jamie snogging....and they do in the first damn episode...and with Murtagh/Jo! We finally get to contrast....each couples passion. And Rik/Roger sings again! I wanted to see Jamie react to 20th century pop music! Maybe later. I think Fergus and Marsali were too busy drinking at the party to snog like everyone else! Did anyone else laugh that Lord John apparently outdrank everyone else (and he's still wide awake while the others passed out!! )?
As mentioned above, Cait is now married and her coquettishness with Sam is not there any more. I think Sam's disappointment in that change shows on his face during interviews.
I guess I've got a little different opinion of 501. The best part of the episode for me was Jamie's burning the cross and delivering an inspirational oratory to the the wedding guests about pledging their loyalty and banding together for war. Outstanding performance! I also enjoyed Jamie gathering items of blue, old and borrowed and presenting them to Brianna. The lovemaking montage fell short for me. Enjoyed the quick scene with John Grey.
@@IberianBella Only a slightly different opinion. I loved the Firey Cross scene Jamie putting the kilt back on..and let's be honest..nailed the scene FAR better than his Uncle Collum did in the 3rd episode of the series. .....Am I the only one that thought that Fergus seemed to really hesitate pledging his loyalty? And thought it was cool (and to Jamie's surprise), Roger already knew the oath by heart? I too ALWAYS enjoy scenes with LordJohn (he apparently outdrank them all)....Odd that he didnt have a pretense to bring Willie to his (secret) half-sister's wedding. The love scenes this time were meant to be amusing not sensuous...Jamie and Claire (actually giving us a funny sex scene! Dont wake Jemmy!), intercut with Bree and the serenading Roger, and Murtagh with Aunt Jo.....and shit Marsali's pregnant again. 3 Generations hittin it on Valentine's Day.
@@maestroclassico5801 I agree with most of what you said. I too loved Jamie in his kilt calling the locals to his side asking for fealty. Yes, I thought the same about Fergus until Jamie called him forward and loved that Roger knew the oath by heart. Perhaps because there were many storylines being rooted in one episode, it was not what I was expecting, but since it is the first in the new season, I guess that is supposed to happen as the cast ecpands.
