I believe the best ending is Jaime comes down with cancer and Claire, Roger, and Brianna talk about going back through the stones to the 20th century. The blow on Jaime's head from his uncle when he was young preempted him hearing the stones but does not mean he can't go through them.....however they do it; he and Claire go back and cure his cancer; they all end up in the 20th century . Claire goes back to doctoring, Jaime gets a part time adjunct professorship teaching Highland Scottish History and they live happily ever after.....
@@dianar7353 Hi. Yes, I know. I've read all 9 if them. I don't want the series to kill either of them off. The series is ending and I don't want it to stray from the books. 🙂
@@celiademoraes7299 No, not really, I have had to deal enough with that in real life so do not need it in my entertainment. Yes, it is nice for a story to get past just the characters having met and fallen in love, like so many newer authors, so you feel like you have just paid for the first chapter in a story; but I do not think it has to go all the way to old age and death either.
@@lf4061 it'a pity u think this way... Death is a part of life, and can be very beautiful and fulfiling. It should be seen as normal and even a good thing - a reward indeed, if u believe heaven is your destiny...
I won’t watch a season where Jamie dies, no! I’m so stuck on Jamie that I don’t think I’ll be OK. Does Anyone Feel As Close As I Am now, Hoping he stays alive. Sam is a perfect Actor, keep him Alive. Maureen O ❤
I remember in the first book, Outlander, where J & C discovered sceletons of a couple [archeological/historical fact btw] lying together in an embrace...J and C were both perplexed, shocked and touched by their discovery. I remember J saying that that would be how he would want to die....in C's arms/embrace ....etc. My perfect ending would be that they die in each others arms in the cave with the buried gold and Jem will find them.
I love Jamie with his Revolutionary War wig! His hair looks fabulous after he has had it falling into his eyes for several seasons. Claire looks lovely no matter the year or war. I, like most fans, will be sorry to see this epic love story end.
@GitPetteresson-np8jb, The story is over. The books in Outlander will have all been written after book 10. It can’t come back. Diana is working on writing a prequel series about Jamie’s parents. How they were in love and got away from Colum during a Clan Gathering. Also what they did with their family and what hardships they had. Jamie’s mother died in childbirth, so his sister was left to do the housework, cleaning, and cooking. On another note, Diana is writing a series about Lord John and how being gay affects his life. She has already written a few of the books in the Lord John series. Not to be rude but it sounds like Diana will run out of life, before she gets all her book ideas written. Outlander has been a wonderful series to read.
Honestly, I think like this: If you travel in time, you pass your birth date. Which means that if Claire dies in the 1700s, she is reborn in the 1900s again and history repeats itself... So if Claire dies, history repeats itself. if Jamie dies, he will be reincarnated into a human in the future 😍
If they kill Jamie off that will be a mistake just as bad as Game of Thrones was. Diana will not let them ruin the ending or even hint at it because the 10th book is currently being written. She won't make the same colossal error that George R.R. Martin did.
I’m about ready to die, I don’t want them dead, I would be thinking of them after movies finished. I don’t know exactly how we could let them live until both together die. I’m not sure
Yok ölmrsinler gerçekten çok üzülürüm lütfen son güzel bitsin.Sam heughanve claire ölürse dizi benim için bir anlam ifade etnez lütfen güzel bitirin.❤❤❤❤❤
Let’s see them at Fraser’s ridge with all their family around them. And them celebrating was wedding to Rachel. It ends with a beautiful wedding and a happy party. I always wondered why Jamie chose the initials of FR and initials of Frank Randell FR too. Are Jamie and Frank the same man? Was Frank a time traveler? So many questions to be solved in this puzzle.
Here is an ending I dreamed about. Jamie dies. Clair is heart-broken, and she takes her own life. Jaimie's ghost is waiting for her. They are together again. Jamie says to Clair. "We can go anywhere. We can go forward and see our grandchildren. Or we can go back and re-live the past. We can go anywhere, Clair." Then they kiss, turn into stars, and shoot off into the horizon.
I’ve always thought that Claire will die first since it’s her story we started to follow. I do however believe that they’ll reunite in the afterlife. It’s sad that the show won’t be having Diana’s real ending though.. Or maybe we’re lucky here, we get two endings to choose from 😂 The show must however answer the question to why Jamie’s ghost were shown in the first ep.
Yeah, that sounds decent enough, but I highly doubt Claire takes her own life. her life doesn't revolve around Jamie... she has her mission - to save other people's lives and she is highly dedicated to that.
No the story does not end there only the series. The books end with book 9 and 10 is the book that tells all explains all and addresses all the questions etc.
Can't kill off the main character when the book isn't finished yet and yes Claire does marry John Grey but that's for protection and that's already written about
I think Claire & Jamie will both survive. They will tie up some loose ends for the family members. Jamie will give Claire a Scottish vase like she saw in the first episode. They will live happily ever after. This will leave the possibility of movies in the future and still stay true to the books. I am thinking of Star Trek and Downton Abbey.
I think Claire's journeys are all in her mind because of all the head injuries she had in WW2 and youth. She will become aware when she is an old lady with white hair. Blimey! She may turn out to be Diana Gabaldon! .....tongue in cheek of course!😅
Brilliant prediction, love the thought that Jamie buys the blue vase for Claire, if only it could end like this, in a make believe ideal world anything is possible, I like your theory the most, I’m also thinking ‘Downton Abbey’ just watched ‘A New Era’ twice it was fabulous, the possibilities for ‘Outlander’ are endless, I hate the thought of saying goodby to Jamie & Claire, young version or,older:) have a nice day. 🤗
How odd that from authentic beginnings, seasons 1 and 2 portraying books so popular and the reason this series was made, the writers seem to think they can change the storyline for no reason at all, which disappointed many devoted book fans and undoubtedly puzzled Diana Gabaldon herself. From the time they inexplicably decided that Jemmy would be blond not red haired, which didn’t make any sense at all given his colouring became an integral part of the story, to inventing scenarios which never happened. To top it all, Season 7 part two has been delayed for so long that everyone has forgotten where part one ended.
@@fizzywig....... Jamie is not a time traveler and does have the ability to time travel but he has the ability to see the future. There is a difference.
Is this no the one where Jamie goes back to scotland to bring his sister to America, Jamie's ship goes down on the way back and lord John marries Claire to protect her as they think Jamie is dead and then Jamie's shows up and lord John says to him "I have had carnal knowledge of your wife" ....... I'm sure it is that ending.... oooooohh!!!
@@thenextseason....... We already know that Williams mother was reckless. She was married to an older man , which was common practice back in those days.
It seems to me that the story must end with Claire giving a final narration - as she did the opening - and spend her last days with Bree, Roger and children, waiting and hoping for the day she can rejoin Jamie.
I hope neither Clair nor Jamie die. Then there can be follow-up movies after the series ends. The way they have movies following the Dowton Abbey series.
The thing that confuses me is that There was a scene in one of the earlier books, where Claire, Bree and Roger find Jamie's grave in a place none would expect.
In the beginning series of episodes DG said that Jaime died at approximately 25 years old. If they follow that story line then everything that happened after Jaime being 25 isn't real/didn't really happen.
@@Julie_White As revealed in a 2014 interview on the Outlander Podcast, Diana Gabaldon shared that Jamie is approximately 25 years old when he passes away, corresponding to the age of the ghost. Despite Jamie's numerous brushes with death throughout the series, his ultimate fate is a significant aspect of the Outlander narrative.
In my imagination, Jamie dies in battle, and Claire cannot save him. Roger & Bree and the older children agree to leave Davey with Ian and Rachel’s family, and the travel with Claire to the late 20th C. They bring a quantity of French gold to reestablish their lives in North Carolina, near Linville, buying the tract formerly The Ridge, and with it, the family gravesites. Claire renews her medical license, and dies peacefully after a decade in family practice, caring for the community, performing miracle cures that leave her a local legend. Roger is a professor of History at UNC, Bree a civil engineer. Jemmy goes into theoretical physics. Amanda writes romance fantasy novels under a pseudonym….you guessed it!
Felicidades.!
I am still going with Claire getting knocked out at Craig Na Dun. She awakens at Rev. Wakefield's parsonage. Combine "The Wizard of Oz" and "Dallas" cliffhanger. All of Outlander was a dream. She decides to leave Frank.
Svp permettez à Claire et Jamie de continuer la série. Ils sont irremplaçables et pourquoi pas continuer la série avec leurs descendants Merci❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤😂😂😂
I think Jamie dies and Claire decides to stay in his time because Briana’s 3rd Child can’t time travel. She raises a glass of whisky at his grave and says, “See you in the future my darling.”
¡Hola! Para practicar, lo voy a escribir en español. (Hace mucho tiempo que lo pratico con persona verdadera. :)) Creo que empieza la primera vez de noviembre. Ojalá que esto le ayude. Corrección: es el 22
Did you ever think about the stars themselves maybe getting " tired of the roles " and want to do other things? Of course they could always get other actors to play the roles. Right off the bat I can't think of any that could play ANY OF THESE roles and do justice to the character. Jamie and Claire are both tall it would be hard to find leading that would fit their characters 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😊😊☺️☺️🤩🤩
The producers have not yet understood that their fans do not want the story to end. Let's hope they don't screw it up like Game of Thrones. I think the story could have gone on for more seasons, but the producers' lack of faith has made them cut a lot of episodes.
