Well there are group/clan finders you can look for plenty of clans willing to take in new members.

Look for an outfit to join m8, it makes the game so much more fun playing with a whole bunch in a platoon all working together. A lot of outfits have a specific day they will play together too so everyone is online and its a blast. Dont listen to the people who say its pay to win, its really not. Pretty much everything bar cosmetics are unlockable in game and you start with the best guns right from the off. Also the hack accusations are pretty unfounded too, its rare youll find someone cheating. Sometimes it feels like it might be so, but you need to consider the netcode, the fact that its an older game and also the fact that most people have played it for years, are extremely good and are practiced headshot mentallists which is where the damage multipliers are at. Give yourself time to get used to it, its such a good game.

Nah, I do it all the time. But I just join random battles and just do what I do best. You don't necessarily need a group unless you feel lonely.

You don't have to hope to see a similar game in your life, you can play it right now... But yeah I hope they make a #3 and that it's polished and feels (even more) like Unreal Tournament during fighting (and with even more balance/versatility across factions) For instance it's usually better to spawn Lighting for VS (with just a few exceptions) than a Magrider. They're only at advantage at max range but that's very rare (there's too much map clutter usually) and in those cases there's usually 3 Engineers and an impenetrable NC shield or something that the guns can never hope to win over, even with max AT main & secondary (for VS)... It's _cool_ but I digress... (and likewise it's almost impossible to _hit_ for the other factions at max range)

Ah yes NC, the faction that - with no exceptions - always try to f*k up the faction *NOT* in the lead (and I've yet to figure out why) lol, making both NC and Vanu (or NC and TR I guess) lose and guarantees 40% advantage at any point is _always_ a win, even if it would have a 12h lockdown timer. And TR that always (edit: *VERY* sweatily and with jihadist fervour) seek to destroy player bases in small groups (edit: like if they murdered their whole family), no matter where they are and regardless of what offensive use it has or what they've done, because you can never have anything good with TR around. /half way joking/jab

I last played planetside 2....decades? ago. This was accurate then. TR always fucked us NC up, so we avoided fights with them and took on Vanu from the flank as they tried to ignore us. @@SebHaarfagre I don't recognize half of the vehicles or maps, or player bases or anything. I remember feeling guilty that I bought the big revolver for real money when it came out, but stealth infiltrator with it was amazing.

As a beta player for the original planet side I miss the looting of dead enemy bodies and putting their weapons into lockers for later use. Even though PS2 is such a great game it has been watered down for the newer generation and features from the first game lost. You will never know the joys of dropping behind enemy lines doing a generator hold so they can't spawn certain vehicles anymore until the get the gen back up that links it to the bases.

@@rsman23 As someone who liked to get a cloaked Sunderer and park it behind enemy lines. I am all to aware. As I was the one that placed them near the ammo tower or vehicle spawn.

Explosive/mine detector implant is your friend, unless you run very fast and not pay attention, it help save you lot of time though

@@royaldarkness8453 it's not very helpful on a harasser whos brakes are a questionable existence. 50m on a vehicle that goes 80 with turbo.

KInda hard when you're a loner and some of the community like to gatekeep from newcomers. The game can die off for all I care at this point.

@@MLPIceberg I mean I play solo most of the time. I do occasionally join larger platoons (shout-out Voodoo Company), and they aren't the least but gatekeepy. Sounds like you had some negative experiences, but don't blame the game for asshole gamers. From my experience, people who have been playing PS2 since launch are some of the friendliest (albeit nerdiest) people around. Some are a bit too mil-sim roleplay, but you can just not talk to those peeps lol.

Its crazy how many delusional people in this comment section say its pay2win, They dont know what they are talking about and that kills it of for people to not even try it at all

same here bruz, loved it for years. i whaled it, skins on every team/vehicle lol. when they changed the vehicle spawn points all into 1 point type it killed the balanced meta, things got stacked, ONLY overly skilled pilots, whales got way too much hp n just rammed anti-air tanks to death... i couldnt play it anymore. good to see its alive, i retry it every few years n the balance kills me :(

Its free so go try it out its great fun :) Beware though, some people compare the new player experience not as a steep incline but a flat mountain wall. It takes some getting used to if you have no idea what the game is about or how it works and you could easily end up walking around a empty field with nothing going on if you do not know where to and how to get to the fights. Highly suggest either watching some more general videos and/or video guides unless you have someone you know that can show you around the first few hours.

I love it it's like a super battlefield game, plays similar much more teamwork happens though more a kin to something like squad but the game overall plays like a battlefield game.
