You know, it's honestly insane that people in 2021 are talking about breaking 13 minutes on this course when you add the traffic back in. I think the WR is like 13:05 in that category? Slipstream OP.
How are you doing that? I use the arcade version and am usually all over the place. I use auto not manual, what do you think? My car won't cling to the edges.
It's a drifting maneuver commonly used higher level OR2SP players, also known as "Fake Drifting". This allows for cornering at a faster speed in a Normal car. This allows the car to take the sharpest of turns which don't require drifting at a faster speed (i.e. taking the corner at 290km/h instead of dropping below 288km/h when turning sharp). This done by simply applying a small amount of pressure to the brake pedal till the brake lights come on, or enough to not slow the car down and to keep tapping the gas pedal (from I'd say about 80% to 100%) simultaneously. This can lead to slighty faster times for each stage when driving a N/AT or N/MT car in Time Attack Mode, however I generally don't use it in Time Attack Mode as it can be quite a tedious process when trying to get the fastest times possible at the same time. I do use it in Heart Attack Mode to exploit the drifting requests and at the bunki section to score more points, as well as a bit in Outrun Mode to manipulate traffic cars however.
Wow, thanks. I'm not sure if I was notified of this reply at the time. I just googled and found I'd already asked it. Really didn't know there was this trick.
I think it’s just caused by too much playing (using brake pedal for drifting )by high level players of this game every day but actually it’s not affecting the driving. I’m not sure whether it’s coming from digital problem or not, I also always have seen it at that time when I’m playing this game hard at amusement arcade in Japan.
