Imagine throwing a blue shell in last place like "Heh, this'll get him," and then 60 seconds later he flies past you with 10 blue shells following him.

He may be able to outrun blue shells, but he’ll never dodge the random green shell that decides to warp through space and time to hit someone

Blue shells tend to cut tight through corners to reach you slightly faster, so this track being nothing but huge turns might make it one of if not THE only track you can do this on.

I love how the Mii’s only response to this entire deal is just this face 😀

There's actually something intimidating about a line of Blue Shells just looming at the distance.

The way the Shells don’t spin or anything, just straight up hover towards their victim nonchalantly in a straight line was hilarious for some reason.

The 200 cc really feels like a afterthought in the game's development, For how many tracks and items break if you go on full throttle, but the community was the one to adapt it as the regular way to play rather than a challenge mode

Actually terrifying. The fact they make a straight line to the person in 1st place, it makes you think they'll eventually give up and immediately go after who's in second.

What's more impressive is that he didn't hit a single car while outrunning those shells. Damn!

The secret for how he did this, was neutral drifting, especially in 200cc.

Bro is lapping the NPCs. This means that he's so fast that even rubber banding can't keep up.

this man drove an entire damn lap ahead of them, didn't make a single mistake, outran blue shells and overall performed like a speedrunner. saying this guy is a good player would be a criminal understatement.

Not gonna lie this sounds like a neat rebalancing of the Blue Shell. It isn’t fast enough to catch up to you at top speed……you just have to hope you are staying at top speed.

This is how the blue shell should work. Instead of just taking you out because you're in first place, it should just stalk you and wait for your to make a mistake. Just like how the SPB in SRB2 Kart works.

I like how he proceeds to get hit by all of them at once when he finishes his final lap other than that this is absolutely godlike

I feel horrible for whoever was in second place because they had to take those blue shells immediately afterwards.

To anyone wondering how to do this. 1-play on 200cc 2-Do your lines a bit open, like drifting to maintain your kart in the middle of the road instead of going for the best lines. 3-this is one of the easy tracks to do it, you can do it on others too but some are way harder and some are nearly impossible (if not impossible)

Back in the Double Dash days you couldn't even outrun a single blue shell. You could boost out of the way of the explosion, but you could never completely outrun it

Imagine getting bodied in 12th/11th from a blue shell YOU threw at the start of the race, because the person in 1st lapped you and finished the race and only allowing the shells to finally hit because “AI” mode took over

If you wanna do this yourself it’s actually quite easy: Just neutral drift the entire time, which means you press absolutely nothing on the joystick. And get 10coins

fun fact. you can also outrun blue shells in Super Circuit. Except in that game, you could truly outrun them. It was hard, but if you were a good enough driver, the blue shell wouldn't hit you, and after a while it would just fall off. You essentially had to drive pretty flawlessly, but whenever it happened it was SO satisfying

I honesty thought all the blue shells would instantly target 2nd place when you finished the race, it would been funny AF

Managing to outrun a blue shell is one thing, but managing to outrun *MULTIPLES* of them and not hit an obstacle while doing so is an absolute feat. And all of them hitting you at the same time at the end is the icing on the cake. UNO, Monopoly, Mario Kart 8, and Among Us are the four horsemen of destroying friendships

Seeing the Mii glance over their shoulder throughout the race, I like to imagine those "wahoo!" sounds from the drift mini-turbos as failing attempts at convincing themself that they are *not* about to get blasted into the next dimension.

Blue shells sure have gotten slower over the years. Back in Mario Kart 64 those things could have outrun Sonic the Hedgehog. But now you can win a whole dang race while being chased by them.

This reminds me of the time when me and my dad played in baby park with only bullet bills. If you didn't get one you would go from first place to 9th place in 3 seconds.

Fun fact, this is how the Blue Shell analogue in Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart works: it flies just under your potential top speed so you need to drive flawlessly if you don't want to get hit. Missed drifts or going off-road *will* kill you.

You know what's the scariest part of it ? *Blue Shells in MK8D doesn't reach Blue Shells at full potential in MKDD and MKWii, meaning we still have a long time to go before being quicker than them.*
