i have worked for many big builders and the only person thats allowed to make money is the builder, they get the rebates from all the suppliers they spec, but electricians are idiots for working for buttons, if everyone said no then prices would increase, but theres always a dick out there that will work for nothing. The NIC/EIC are no better, for letting this crap happen, they will be seeing this day in day out, and continue to let their members get away with it, and i would imagine the other governing bodies as well. I would never purchase a new house, they put the cheapest of the cheap in them for maximum profit.
Thanks for the video. As an enthusiastic amateur it'd be good to see more testing and fault finding. Nightmare getting two cables into those downlights!
An excellent video sir well done.keep up the great videos and content.Ive been a tester for a number of years.agree totally.meterage and milliohms per meter.are very important.
Stephen Allen thanks Stephen it’s something that is often overlooked - I must be honest though the design course I did some years back was what opened my eyes to it, which in my opinion made me a better tester (which was all I was doing at the time)
Nice job , I noticed one of the spots very close to the boiler flue , do you think this may cause condensation problems inside the fitting in the future as depending which way the wind is blowing the flue steam could be a problem........👍
yensabi this was discussed with the client but in all fairness siting away from the flu made the spacing look terrible - lights are IP rated and are fully sealed fittings (no removable lamp) they also have a long warranty from manufacturer so wasn’t something that overly concerned me when weighed up against giving the client what they wanted in terms of spacing - hope this helps 🤙🏻
STF Electrical Ltd Thanks for the reply , I presumed you had put it there to uniform the spacing and as you say there's not to much of an issue even if you have to replace it in the future , not criticising you in any way......👍
yensabi don’t worry didn’t think that in any way - always happy to share why I’ve done something and always up to hear others suggestions - always been of the opinion that if I’m open to hearing what others have to say and listening to how they do things then it will make me a better spark 👌🏻
