Thanks! just discovered your vlog. I've been doing this for decades too. Had 2 Bentleys over the past 30 years and sold them both for a considerable sum - drove them all that time and...STILL made money on them! One thing to pass on to you: If there is an organization for your desired car - join that club FIRST... THEN start looking. Club members pamper their cars and are willing to help.😁😁

Good stuff. Funny enough I did everything you suggested before I purchased my BMW M2 competition. After 1 year of fun, now I’m considering selling it for 4K more than I paid.

Bought my ISF for 20k, I’ve put 10k miles on it and its worth like 29k now. Waiting for the right deal is extremely important. I basically got paid 9 grand to drive this car for a year just because I waited for the perfect deal and was willing to go get it. Excellent video man!

Yeah the market is always a factor too, because those cars are rare they hold their value well but they're not old enough to really appreciate, Everyone want's a budget sports car in this market and that's why those prices have jumped, it's definitely a good car to drive but the market will flatten out sooner or later and it will hold it's value but not appreciate by too much, since they're reliable cars there's a good amount still on the street today.

Great video, this is the 1st video of yours I'm watching. Will sub. Also here for M156 content. I recently put over 26k into my 2013 c63 P31 sedan. Getting lifters and cams done right now...

Thanks for the comment, that’s sweet! My first true sports car was a 2013 c63. Lifters and cams are a wear item on these cars unfortunately 😬

Good stuff! The curb appeal of the wheels goes a long way! And really makes you car stand out when the rest of the listings are a carvana stock photo. Lol

I’ve done similar and have bought and sold dozens of cars with break-even or making $ for the most part. #2 & #3 are by far the most important. I scour the entire nation for the right car and the right deal and then I find a way to get that specific car no matter where it is

Agreed man! Sometimes the chase is almost as fun as the test drive lol

I bought my 2014 M6 cometition in 2019 with 19k miles on it for 45k. Now it has 34k miles on it and would sell for 50k from what I’ve been seeing. It’s truly a cheat code to buy cars that have already depreciated.
@skrrtgarage3922
@skrrtgarage3922 2 года назад
Agreed! That’s killer man, those m6’s are really fast too

@@skrrtgarage3922 thank you. I rly want the F90 M5 comp that thing is even faster lol. I’m afraid it won’t be a good buy tho rn they are like 90-95k for a 2019 with low miles and a good spec. I would prob lose money

@@skrrtgarage3922 Did it have 6 speed and LSD (kinda, lol)? The sport is pretty basic, but does get those plus front strut tower bracing. It's fun and I don't even mind looking like a hairdresser, haha.

Yea mine had a LSD and 6 speed. Exactly! I didn’t mind it at all lol

You can gauge the market by autotrader but trying to sell your car when it’s over 30k is going to be tough hardly anyone buys cars with cash that’s why dealers exist and they don’t work for free, market value and what you will actually get are two different things, we buy any car would give me 33k market value is around 40k I paid 33,250 now when you factor in insurance tax etc you see why when people ask are cars good investments it’s a no unless you buy brand new and flip it straight away and that has to be cars that are limited, but not all cars Ferrari has that many special models they tanked your talking 100k loss mclarens are the same, if you really want a solid flip your talking the porche rs models but if you get caught flipping your dealer will strike you off for getting another rs, a car that will appreciate are those loyal to a brand porche 981 gt4 people are jumping out of them to get a new one and now they cost the same as they did new but was made in limited numbers I was going to get one but it was aweful to drive I know you have read different I know people say different on RU-vid but I hated it 😂 the clutch was way too heavy it was that heavy mine felt like a feather even 15mins after the test drive the driving position felt alien with the bucket seats the height your head was at etc everything about it I hated but it makes sense to buy on paper, who knows the 718 might be better but it really did put me off porche since everyone says it’s the best and I felt like it was the absolute worst 😂 but the 718 isn’t a good buy like the 981 when your talking purely numbers I don’t know why their was a lot of hype for that car it won evo magazine it was supposed to drive better than any other car I really wanted to know what I was missing turned out I wasn’t missing anything 🤷🏼‍♂️ was happy though to scratch the itch it was really doing my head in I get stuck in research sometimes 😂
