outsourced haikyuu episodes 

Glad to see this vid got picked up by the algorithm. Anyway, I wanted to share my two cents after ruminating on all this for a few weeks. Honestly, the more I think back to the occasional poor animation in Haikyuu To the Top, the less I care about it. Some of it in certain episodes looks real janky and goofy, yes, but at the end of the day you just can't argue with fun, and even at its jankiest, Haikyuu is still one of the most fun anime out there. And it genuinely exhausts me to see needless criticism thrown at the Season 4 artstyle wherever I go. And it's not even about the occasional animation mishaps, like episode 15 and certain parts of episode 19, but the artstyle as a whole. Yes, it's fun to meme about the occasional derpy outsourced moments, as long as it's all in good fun and in good faith. But to claim that this season's art on the whole is in some way a downgrade over the past seasons is just such a weaksauce and disingenuous argument. And yet, I see this sentiment everywhere, and it just makes me feel like Haikyuu has one of the most spoiled and ungrateful fanbases in anime. Most other long-running sports anime would KILL to have a production this high-grade and consistent. As I say in the description of this video, two outsourced episodes in a run of what will be at least 85 in total is incredibly impressive for any anime production. People act as if Haikyuu has lost its edge somehow, and it's now a weak production somehow, when all that happened was an art overhaul to reflect the artstyle shift in the manga. Haikyuu was never lacking in impressive moments, and it isn't lacking in them now. Kageyama "recalibrating" his aim in the Tsubakihara match, with the striking black and white 3D grid visualization. Himekawa doing the underhand ceiling serve. The Fukurodani/Nekoma compilation in episode 12, not to mention the absolutely beautiful Hoshiumi showcase in the same episode, which is a scene that I've rewatched like 15 times. Hinata's first jump in the Inarizaki match. The Miya brothers copying Kageyama and Hinata's freak quick. Tanaka's epic cross spike. Kageyama's amazing series of service aces. Hell, even Tsukishima's super-high spike in episode 15, the very same episode that this video is making fun of. There is no shortage of amazing moments in the newest season of Haikyuu, and saying that the production is somehow anything less than fantastic isn't giving this series the credit that it deserves. Could it have been better? I mean for sure, yeah, the outsourced episode shows as much, but I really feel like all the people who whine about this season's art and animation being inferior to the previous seasons, and how the new season's art style "ruined" or "killed" the series for them, really need a reality check. Once again, Haikyuu is a shining example of high quality consistency when it comes to sports anime. The amazing Haikyuu that we know and love hasn't gone anywhere. You just need to open your eyes. Edit: And Hinata's Receive!!!!!!!!! Not to mention that whole rally! And Tanaka's line shot in the next ep! Man I love Haikyuu so much

This is exactly why I miss the old artstyle😔 don’t get me wrong the new one is good, the only problem is that some characters don’t even look like themselves anymore. (Example: Kageyama) I like the way he’s drawn now but I do much prefer how he was drawn back in seasons 1-3

the reason why the characters in the episode were wonky and just looked so wrong, they were working on the episode in another studio since they were having a hard time doing it in their own studio, from what I read. But I'm sure the other episodes will be fine right after they solve the conflict.

I don’t know that it will be a huge difference but they might polish it a bit on DVD releases

Standard in between frames don't look perfect. They may be distorted for motion, and they're simplified because they need to draw a lot more of them vs key frames.

Enough talking about the anime and let’s start worrying about the guy laughing in the back-😃
