Its also precisely why Trump was elected. Middle America sees this guy and immediately thinks to himself "ya... Im goinna vote for the other side of the aisle".
When he said that the Constitution was not a relevant document, I said "Well, there's another traitor that needs to be arrested, dragged out to the center of town in front of everybody and shot in the head." The law still states that for treason, the punishment is death. If someone pisses on the Constitution, even figuratively, that person is a traitor. Every liberal hates the Constitution, thereby all liberals are traitors. Thus all liberals need to be publicly executed. Problem solved.
I believe these riots aren't what the 1st amendment said "or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Notice Peaceably, not destroying an entire town.

I certainly disagree with his complete disregard for the US Constitution (Aussie here btw), but your President has basically done the same thing. Power is supposed to be balanced, and the statement laid out in your Constitution that power must be checked and balanced as is the norm in democracy has been regarded with contempt and disdain by Donald Trump. My argument is, if your President, the man who is supposed to represent your country, is disregarding the laws of the Constitution, then it's debatable as to whether people should be outraged that a uni student has done the same thing.

Me too, but not for the stuff depicted here. These angry crowds were reacting (for example) in the wake of the recent death of a protester in Charlottesville - by car, by a white supremacist. While Leftist protesters 'worry' people with 'potential' violence (that ends up dwindling until rational political lobbying happens,) the Right decides to go out and actually kill people. Continuous education in critical thinking is needed for both sides, on all levels.
Siegmund they are not conservative they just crazy individuals. Both parties where in the wrong on that day I agree with you. People need to listen to tiger opinions and not just shy tit down cause they don’t like it
@@zisha01 Aside from this ONE INSTANCE, involving a person and a group and an ideology that the overwhelming majority of the right has ROUTINELY disavowed (Trump included), where is your evidence that "the Right decides to go out and actually kill people"? "People" implies more than one person and, for the life of me, that death in Charlottesville is the ONLY example I can think of, itself the result of an utterly chaotic day with violence stemming from both sides. And even in that one instance it's clear that the killer probably didn't expect that day to turn out as it did, let alone arrive with the intent to kill. ...but by all means, prove me wrong. I'd love to see examples of all this right-wing violence, let alone murder, that you speak of. I'll wait. In the meantime, try this on for size: If those tiki-torch-toting motherfuckers had their little march, and gave their little speeches, the day would have ended with them GOING THE FUCK HOME and NOBODY would have been hurt. But because Antifi showed up, for no purpose other than to antagonize people exercising their free speech (which I support even if I think those marchers' ideas are fucking trash), the situation devolved into violence...as it does pretty much EVERY TIME ANTIFA IS PRESENT, with there being PLENTY of examples to prove that, no question about it. So fucking spare us your "while Leftist protesters "worry" people with "potential" violence" BULLSHIT because Left protesters DO worry people with their ACTUAL AND REPEATED violence. Just ask guy whose skull was split open by an Antifa thug with a bike lock. Or that Bernie supporter whose head was also split open by an Antifa thug...for carrying an American flag, no less. Or that wheelchair-bound old women who was encircled and shouted down with "SHAME!!!" chants just for asking the leftist protesters to keep the noise levels down outside her residence. Or the elderly man trying to drive through an intersection overrun with Antifa thugs who accused him of being a racist and attempted to assault him...because his license plate was from a southern state. Need I continue? I also find it interesting that everyone I know who leans right, myself included, won't hesitate when it comes to disavowing our worst elements....yet when it comes to folks on the left, they'll either look the other way, or employee downright HERCULEAN mental gymnastics to defend that which is so obviously indefensible, that being their own worst elements, just as you have, here. What does that tell you?
blksbth1 Thanks for waiting, I'm not sure where to start. Look up the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. Maybe you don't understand the nature of causality and perhaps of activism: when a hate group walks uncontested through the streets, it rallies more people to their cause, then a while later a catastrophe occurs. Or an innocent black kid is shot by a police officer (who I guaran-fucking-tee you isn't a lefty) who believes his actions are now justified because his racism has been 'ordained.' And you talk about looking the other way.
@@zisha01 "And you talk about looking the other way". I do accuse the left of looking the other way because I DON'T when it comes to my side's worst elements, nor does anyone I know who leans right, and I know many, as stated in my last. Reread it again if you need to. Case in point, Robert Bowers, the person responsible for the synagogue shooting: Completely disavowed by the near-entirety of the right. Nobody I know condones that monster's actions or beliefs. NOBODY. As such you don't hear me trying to make it something that it isn't, like your insistence that that these increasingly misinformed and overly hostile, if not violent, left-wing protests are nothing to worry about. See the difference? And nice job speculating about that police officer. But for the sake of the argument, let's say you are right and his racist ass IS right-leaning. Again, I want nothing more than for him to be held fully accountable for his actions with justice fully served with people like him COMPLETELY in the right's rearview mirror. Even Steve Bannon has openly said that white supremacists and the like are a rotten bunch and their ideology is a dead-end street. Of course, I imagine it's hard for folks like you to hear that since he is CONSTANTLY being shouted down by hysterical left-wing protesters wherever he speaks. Just like Ben "the orthodox Jew but REALLY he's a nazi based on zero evidence" Shapiro...yet, two posts in, you have yet to disavow the worst elements of your own side ONCE whereas I've done so regarding my own repeatedly and in a abundantly clear blanket fashion. What does that tell you...and anyone/everyone else reading this thread, Emily most certainly included? Yes, she SHOULD be worried by her own generation, especially those on the left who have been showcasing a staggering amount of intolerance and ignorance, not to mention hostility and violence, in growing numbers over the past few years, made worse by folks like you who clearly see nothing wrong with it. Well, maybe when you become the target of their ire for having a reasonable position deemed "wrong think" by the mob, you'll regret not calling it out sooner...but by then I fear it will be too late for you. Me? I see no point in waiting until it gets that much worse because I've learned through experience that bad ideas are bad ideas REGARDLESS of the side they are stemming from, and the sooner and more openly you stand against them, the faster they become isolated and begin to wither. So you can cite all the examples you want, Siegmund, but understand this: the right has - and will continue to - do our part to keep our house in order, thank you very much. We have NO PROBLEM recognizing the worst within our ranks as exactly that while ensuring that their numbers continue to dwindle with each and every generation. So forgive us if we've become more than a little sick and tired of wondering if and when folks like you will start doing the same with yours...it having gone unchecked for DECADES to the point where it is now actively boiling over. Maybe you haven't noticed, but I think you have, the problem being that the left seems wholly incapable of ever turning that hyper-critical lens on itself. We've seen what happens when someone on the left brakes rank. "The left eats its own" isn't a phrase for nothing, and it's nothing new either, having had my own #WalkAway experience some 20+ years ago for the same reasons we are seeing so much left-to-right traffic...but NOT right-to-left traffic...today. So get this through your head, Siegmund: Folks on the right are NOT "looking the other way". If anything we are KEENLY aware of our worst elements and have worked long and hard to keep them in check and raise our children to understand that their ideas are garbage ideas. And you can thank folks like myself for that because those worst elements are more in our backyard than yours...and you are out of your freaking mind if you honestly think anyone in a right-leaning hate group is the least bit threatened by Antifa and the like. But fortunately for all of us, with DECADES of US having driven hateful ideologies on our side to near-extinction (because, really, we are not talking about many people at all, relatively speaking), thanks ENTIRELY to better arguments and allowing sunlight to be the best disinfectant - something you obviously do not support - we are seeing brighter days ahead for our side, having learned much and more over the past few decades, resulting in a massive sea change that WILL benefit the right moving forward and is WHY we have the better arguments these days. Because that's what REAL progress looks like, not the twisted regressive version espoused by the left that continues to churn out ignorant protesters who barely have a clue, intolerant activists who would rather silence the opposition than tackle their arguments head-on and violent thugs who think "punching a nazi" is an entirely justified position to take...while deciding for themselves who is and who isn't a nazi, which now appears to include law enforcement, supporters of our country and the elderly.

His look on things can turn very hateful, although I think he himself just doesn't really understand some things and it isn't really hate. The main takeaways from this are: 1. Not everyone on the right and left are friends with each other, which means that you can still agree on some things, but not on others. Shapiro condemns co-rightist Trump and I, as a leftist, condemn people who say they don't care about first amendment if they can eliminate other political voices with it. This means that I respect the way Shapiro can have a conversation, but that doesn't give him my vote if I could vote for him. 2. He knows what he is doing with riling people up to look good. He then talks calmly and that makes him look confident. Politics are not debate contests however, so while he knows how to talk calmly and politely, you should focus on what he is saying and if it's true based on actual facts.
Unfortunately, his attitude isn't unusual for people his age coming out of the public schools. They are taught that the bill of rights isn't relevant or necessary anymore.

What he's clearly insulting is the media as he always has, not the boy nor the cops. Btw Ben Shapiro's article on the civilians, he did NOT write an entire article to make that his point, that is evidentially contradicted. What he said about the civilians was simply a brutal(and yes even inhuman) exaggeration or emotional rant, but that was NOT the actual point he was trying to make. White privilege is everywhere, from shades of makeup (black women generally have a harder time picking out makeup than white women do because they cater to lighter shades). To everything else. If most whites grow up in a two parent home while most blacks don't then that's more white privilege. Two parent homes are known to produce better productive citizens. This means it's hard to get out of poverty, which means black people are stuck in poverty. Black people have been cursed by their oppressors. Now that the oppression is gone doesn't mean the effects of oppression are gone. You should open your eyes and come to the centrist side. Being a conservative or a liberal is the equivalent of being brainwashed.
JP Well to be fair, because it’s legal doesn’t mean it’s good. Slavery was legal generations ago, and it wasn’t alright. The specific document of ‘free speech’ is relevant, the law in general is really not valid in moral dilemma’s.
Im happy to see ABC giving Ben a chance to speak on their platform. If Ben keeps going in this direction he will be a president someday and I cant wait.
I love that he's giving a platform too but do you see how they do these subtles takes of "oh he's just resonating with white people, look at his crowd" (without being asked the question, is it because so many minorities are being brought up on leftist beliefs or maybe that the minorities that do show up weren't shown on tape), and also how gender dysphoria is no longer listed as a psychological condition (without being provided the context to which this was taken out in the first place). Sure they're giving him time (and hopefully making people research his work), but they might be doing it as a "keep your enemies closer" type basis..
That's interesting that you use the phrase a two edged sword. That's what the Bible says about the Word of God. That His Word cuts to the heart and exposes motives and intentions
Literally everyone there is exercising their first amendment in freedom of speech and protest BUT WAIT........... it’s not relevant right now...... XD ok buddy
The one who said, "I don't care !" : Either you are not yet mature or else you are the most dangerous person in society. Because history teaches us that the decline in advanced society begins when people turn from social interests to individual interests and others' lives no longer have any meaning (or, the goal justifies the means)
Michael Higgins if you are frightened by BEN HIMSELF you have a mental malfunction, look at him he isn’t physically imposing at all! But these people are threatened by him! How out of touch are they?
Frightened? No. Frustrated? Yes. He's a despicable human being who has admitted he cares more about arguing and "winning" debates than actually learning. He has so much to say that if you slow it down, it's often laughable. Like when he argued Rap isn't real music because he listens to classical music.
@@DarkFawful So you think ever rap song has autotune? If you want a playlist I can throw one your way. Like the song Introduction Speech on the album Rise of an Empire.
I'm a liberal. To hear protestors against Ben Shapiro decide that freedom of speech, guaranteed by the 1st amendment to the Constitution is irrelevant says all I need to hear. I support free speech. I support everyone's rights to speak. I disagree with Shapiro on many issues. I find listening to him valuable. Try thinking of it, using this metaphor. We require fiber in our diet. We do not absorb the fiber. It keeps us regular. Can't listen to those who disagree with you? You are intellectually constipated. This metaphor is unfortunately accurate. Bloated, self righteous hypocrisy, the chanting of slogans, all of that is like eating junk food endlessly. Small wonder you can't "work through" those who disagree with you.
Drive A Good Man Bad well said. I'm a conservative and I think liberals are great, as you said it's healthy to have open dialogue and respectful debate with each other. the reason liberals and conservatives can do that is because they both recognize and respect each other's rights. we can disagree on just about anything in this country, but that's the one thing we must all agree on for it to work. and that's the very reason nobody can engage in anything meaningful with leftists, because they don't respect others rights or even recognize them unless they agree with their views. this is such a huge distinction and not everyone realizes, especially since most leftists call themselves liberals. whenever I see someone conflating liberal with leftist I make sure to correct them explain the difference.
What about when they try to block the doors to the assembly hall thus *preventing* other's freedom of assembly? What about when they pull fire alarms in hopes of disrupting Ben's freedom of speech? They were rioting- grow up.
they didn't break windows, try to burn down building, beat the hell out of people etc... I don't agree with any protesting or rioters, its gotten very out of control lately. but there is a huge difference between protest and riot
@FI3NDFATH3R try going to a different state, entering a gun show and trying to buy a gun. As soon as they learn you are from another state, you'll either get turned away or diverted to a way longer and more complicated process
Also you'll always have to go through a background check, even at a gun show. No way around it, it's a felony to not have a background check. If there is no background check, you're probs looking at an illegal gun sale.
+Weston Long, There are a lot of clues that Shapiro has Asperger's, and the way he talks (tone of voice, lack of emotion within his voice, quickness of how he speaks etc) is just one of them. Even though he hasn't been officially diagnosed, I think there is a good chance he has it. P.S. The Left love Minority's (He's Jewish, He's possibly Autistic), but that don't matter to them, all what matter's is that you agree with them regardless of what your own opinions may be.
+Weston Long, Sorry to ramble, but I'm Bi-Sexual, which according to some people on the Right "I'm guessing the Left gives you a free pass on the things you say", but in reality it's the opposite, I've even been called a "fake fag" by people on the Left. P.S. An ironically, why would a "homophobe" i.e. Me, pretend do be "Bi", aren't I supposed to hate them? That's just as dumb as a racist being friends with a black guy.
buzzsaw dude no one gives a flying fuck if you are bisexual. Im guessing you are young and in highschool. If you are actually getting shit for it then find some new friends, you'd be surprised at how many people don't care and just want to lay back a few beers with some friends.
4:26. The constitution is not a relevant document right now!!!! Am I hearing this correctly? This is what our college students are learning? This is how they think? The constitution is the most relevant document that this young man will ever know. It guarantees him the right to stand up and say something so outrageous without being stoned or thrown in jail. This young man, who knows nothing about real life (supporting a family, paying taxes, going to work every day), stands there and mouths off, disrespecting the lives of the hundreds of thousands of men and women who have died in defense of this so called "irrelevant' document. Sad and discouraging. I don't agree with everything Shapiro says or what many progressive say but to protest to ban speaking? Really? And surprised by an all white audience? For goodness sake, this is Utah. Over 80% white last census.
100% agree, Grant. If this man had his way, this country would be run like China or Pakistan. He would not be happy with the monster he helped to create.
I bet the constitution was a relevant document for the 2 arrested. They will be the first to say "I have rights. Fair trial, due process, presumption of innocence..."
@@megalopolis2015 hey are we watching the same video they were going to attack a man just cause they didn't agree with him they even destroyed public property
@M. Redleg God? 😁 , Where was God before 18th century , or even upto early 20th century , where basic rights of people were taken away , not just in America , but all over the world ?
@@m.redleg252 What's the point of having a ‘God' when strong people or organisations can easily take away everything he has given us ? The way I've observed , we humans do everything (good or bad) and then blame it on God 🙏
The main cause of warps in all of reality, I want to defend my own, the South African blacks have shown their dislike for Afrikaners so I'm trying to help this guy.
The main cause of warps in all of reality, in some countries races get along fine, such as Namibia, where around 7% are White and they're fine, but then there's some countries like South Africa where it just doesn't work, in those countries where it doesn't work, we should separate the races until the country is developed enough to handle different races.
As a working class, Hispanic, U.S. Veteran; I love it when rich white Liberals tell me how to vote based on my race and their lack of understanding on the Bill of Rights 4:23 Crowder / Shapiro 2024
The constitution was written nearly three centuries ago by a bunch of elites who didn’t think the middle class (or ANY women) should have the write to vote. Holding it up as some holy document is ridiculous, especially the parts that were written at that time.
@@ssroudyss9432 you can’t just. Say no to a factual statement lol. The founding fathers only wanting the educated elites to vote is the reason we have the electoral college.
@@marys4038 the reason we have the Electoral College is because the U.S.is a representative republic, not a democracy. The same reason a person from Iowa doesn't elect a senator in New York. The other reason why the "leader's" position on the First Amendment is laughable is obvious - it is the very article which affords him the ability to hold a counter-protest.
@@28wilsonz ok, but the first amendment’s guarantee of freedom of speech only protects a person against arrest/government persecution for their speech, and the protestors were calling for their college to cancel Shapiro’s event. Unless the college is a a public university, stopping the event would technically not be a violation of free speech. In addition, the first amendment does not protect hate speech, and some could argue that Shapiro’s rhetoric against trans people could be considered hate speech.
"I don't think he should speak" "I don't care" "I don't care" "I don't think that document (the constitution) is relevant right now" The ability to speak does not make you intelligent. -qui gon jinn
That word e.e you mean politically incorrect? ..but true lmao and the thing is he uses Facts and logic as his weapons not just some spewing random spoon fed liberal goblin banter
Ben is absolutely amazing, and the other members of the Daily Wire are also amazing, like Matt Walsh. They can argue so well and articulate so well, the jokes that they make about a topic absolutely destroys the opposition
