I’ve installed quite a few doors in my days. Over 15, from all brands. These videos help out a lot. Graphic demis only show so much. It was as tuff as you’d imagine to install, but no more than that. Others I’ve ran into problems. I would say though on the box the size giving is the SMALLEST width it can go, we were at 59 5/8 wide. The size shown was 58 5/8. We almost did not buy because we thought it was going to be too small. By a inch. But maybe we just don’t, or didn’t understand, not ruling that out ether.
Thank you for taking the time to review our Bel soft close installation. The maximum width the 60" version can be installed on between finished walls is 60 3/16". Always refer to the instruction manual included with your unit for those dimension. Note that the Bel soft close cannot be altered for a narrower opening than the minimum suggested like the other sliding doors due to the soft close mechanism on the support bar. My shower wall to wall was exactly 58in. Thus the support bar was too long. I ended up trimming support bar. But since the mounting bolt is not centered you have to be careful how much you trim off either end. I ended up taking a 1/4" off one end and a 1/2" off the other. It works fine. The soft close mechanism could be made to be adjustable as well to accommodate if trimming is needed. We really like how our's turned out.

Can you show me the correct installation of the sweep seals on the bottom of the door and the Door edge seals that are applied to the glass door edges. Main issues is the bottom corners where the sweep meets the door fins. Does it go over the sweep or stop at the sweep or squeeze inside the sweep
My soft close mechanism arrived missing the screws that hold it in piece. So at this time I can close the door as designed but when opening the door that's a different mater. The door slams I to the wall.

Videos are great but the design seems flawed. Almost a year since instal and the slow close mechanism is very inconsistent, requires a lot of attention to maintain its function, but now does not work appropriately. It seems you would benefit from having the most crucial point to be adjustable itself and or made of metal. Please make this for purchase so that we can simply install a superior quality device that has durability and consistent function. Sorry to rant. Everything else about this product is beautiful and well designed.
