Oven glass shatters without warning, leaving homeowners confused and out of options 

This ALSO happened to my Frigidaire oven as well! It was cold and had not been used for over 2 days and it randomly, on its own, just shattered. I’m so glad no one was near it when it happened

Never heard of such a thing until we woke up to a shattered oven door… Frigidaire !😮

Just happened to me, today, Sept. 13/23, with my 1 month old SAMSUNG stove. Under warranty, but my little dog was injured. Not only this, but wrecked my NEW hardwood floors. I believe this is a design issue, as the door handle, when pulled open, causes stress on this glass. 1 month in, terrible design flaw. Warranty will cover the replacement door and drawer on bottom, as this was scratched from the broken glass. AS per the video stating the glass will shatter with round edges, is completely BS, at least for SAMSUNG. The edges were very sharp and cut everything in it's path. I expect big compensation from SAMSUNG over and above the warranty replacement. I am also requesting an extended 2 year warranty on the NEW replacement, as SAMSUNG will not replace with a new model. I will update to see how SAMSUNG deals with this. Scary as hell when it happened. A small child or pet could be seriously injured if they happen to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time, as with my dog.

Just happened to me today too, same day my air conditioner went out :)

Same thing happened to my oven, which is just over 2 years. It was not used for over 7 days when this happened. The outer glass just exploded 3 weeks ago.

This happened to me last night with my Frigidaire oven just after midnight. It wasn't on and wasn't even used yesterday. Spontaneous shattering.

Same with us back in October 2023. However, it shattered when my husband shut the garage door which is on the same wall the oven is installed. We thought it was some kind of weird physics. Our oven was out of warranty, so we had to pay for the outer glass out of pocket. Glad but also disappointed to know it’s a known issue.

Just happened today with my owen Electrolux. Just glass was shattered without any contact.

I had the same thing happened with my GE electric stove oven the same oven. It's a defect design they're just not willing to admit I will pay the extra money for a better brand stove in the future. Because this may happen again and that's expensive. Frigidaire, Samsung, Whirlpool, and GE , same make stove same design all shattering probably the same glass maker.

This just happens to me. And someone did get cut. That glass is sharp.

This just happened to my oven. I walked into my kitchen. Dinner was cooked. About an hour and a half ago. Internal cavity of the oven was still a little bit warm. But as my back was turned to the stove, it literally shattered onto my kitchen floor. Today is June 14, 2024.

Thats crazy it just happened to me and i thought somebody broke in the house, really in shock of what happened.

I have this same oven and this happened last night to me when I was going to bed. The oven wasn't even used yesterday.

Same thing happened to my Ninja flip air fryer!!! Unplugged and not in use… Ninja said we broke it but we are snowbirds and were not in the house past 4 months!!!

Happened to my frigidaire oven last week. Frigidaire wouldn't do anything for me. Frigidaire wanted $322 for new glass. Ended up finding a different brand on Amazon for $160.

I'm no lawyer, but the law says the manufacturer must prove you caused the damage, otherwise they must honor the warranty

I come back from Miami vacation to my apartment here in Chicago to see my oven door shattered. No one was even home. Doesn’t know the brand of the oven but this is insane

Yes it happened to my GE gas stove last week suddenly blow up and glass places everywhere.

We recently had the same thing to happen. I will NEVER purchase another Frigidaire.

Oh wow. We came home and thought it was a break-in. But nothing was taken... The stove was not on and was not in used for days. It's in pieces.

same thing happened to my frigidaire stove but frigidaire wouldn't do anything. I'll never buy a Frigidaire ever. Its their fault, why they won't make good on their products is not right. Thank God a child or pet wasn't in the vicinity when it happened. Shame on you Frigidaire!! I have pictures to prove it too.
