I still love how Create is essentially the embodiment of the three mods that started the forge modding API. i.e Buildcraft, Redpower, and Better Than Wolves.
@@zachrabaznaz7687 Better than wolves was one of the most popular mods at the time that had aspects of rotational power, particularly windmills, millstones, and elevators that could keep rails on them, just to name a few.
I went back to b1.7.3 to play a modpack that included a bunch of mods, Buildcraft, IndustrialCraft^2, and Better Than Wolves namely. I enjoyed it a lot, but I pretty much dumped that pack once I found out about Create, because it does literally everything those mods did, in a way I liked more, plus it's more advanced and malleable.
@@zachrabaznaz7687 you shouldn't let "this item took me 37 weeks to make..." videos be your first impression of Better than Wolves, there's more to it than waiting for bricks to dry
15:25 Important thing to add is that using a Andesite/Brass Casing to decorate shafts, cogs etc DOES NOT use a casing, so You can simply build with only 1 casing for decoration, and it still not be used
someone on the create discord used deployers picking up and placing minecart contraptions to make a fully functioning step-based irl escalator. the deployers are useful to ensure the minecarts always stay in sync
Here's a fun one: if you set a weighted ejector to eject at maximum distance at a 45º angle and launch yourself with an Elytra on you'll get an absurd amount of momentum, even more than you get with fireworks!
Thanks for watching! Make sure to give the video a like and subscribe! Checkout the other Create-ors featured in this video linked below. www.youtube.com/@dejojotheawsome www.youtube.com/@polartt www.youtube.com/@stam1o www.youtube.com/@batsyvonfangies www.youtube.com/@skeej_inc
Fun fact with the display link part, you don't need to use name tags! Any named item will appear on the board, this is very useful for if you wish to make user specific interfaces, such as a bank account! No need for all the nametags, paper works fine :DD
18:13 It can also fire golden apples, enchanted golden apples, blaze cakes and maybe much more. Full list of effects(to see detailed list check wiki): Melon slice, apple: nothing Beetroot: low reload time but insanely low damage Golden carrot, blaze cake: big damage Potato, melon block, pumpkin: big knochback Potato, carrot, pumpkin, melon block: can be planted/placed by shooting Baked potato, blaze cake: sets enemies on fire Golden apple, enchanted golden apple: applies it's natural effect and cures zombie villagers, insane reload time Poisonous potato: applies poison Honeyed apple: applies slowness Glow berries, glittering melon slice: applies glowing Sweet berries, glow berries, chocolate berries: acts as a shotgun Chorus fruit: randomly teleports Pumpkin pie, cake, blaze cake: sticks for a short period(?)
@@IGORYA0 Yes! It applies golden apple effects. It can even cure zombie villagers. But sadly it has insanely long reload time. I edited my original comment and included full list of effects.
Fun thing you can do with the elevator pulley is attach drills to the bottom of the contraption, assign a station in the same column but waay underground, then call it and it'll drill its way there :D no need to dig your own elevator shafts
Create a contraption with a mine cart above how ever many drills you want pointing down. The contraption will take the minecarts gravity, and the drills will carve out a massive hole to bedrock.
Thanks for this huge video with a bunch of my favorite create mod creators. I'm pretty sure half of the the thing you guys said I didn't know it. Thanks again.
Please include the fact that by making a 10 block thick contraption wall and then obsidian underneath you can kind of create a base where you can only get in by powering a correct redstone link frequency. Btw you would have mechanical pistons and sequenced gearshifts to open two sides of the giant cabin when you power the link. It is soo secure there is NO other way of getting in.
24:56 I used minecraft contraption placing inside my cannon as a way to move deployers without them activating when I don't want to. So it doesn't annoy me when it's being moved
Be warned, anyone using the redstone clock funnel method, it WILL cause significant lag VERY easily if you use it too much, in my testing i can only get away with using 16 at once before i start to suffer severe frame rate issues. Bc ofc you have to keep it in loaded chunks bc of how redstone works and create already naturally has some performance issues with belts and putting things onto them
but how do i make it myself? i want to make the secret elevator is there a video? the only one i can find is a normal elevator, not the one with the secret table entrance
I plan to make a tutorial as part of my 30 day build challenge that I'm currently doing. I just did build 7 and this elevator is planned for build 12. Consider subscribing if you would like :D
when i try to use the wand of symmetry in my survival world, I can´t mirror slabs. When i place a slab, the full block gets placed down on the mirrored spots. Can anyone help me?
isn’t like, 90% of this available through ponder menus and JEI? i always like watching these in the hope of learning something, sad that wasn’t the case here.
Uber, where did you find out this 27:16 ? It blown my mind, I would never have thought about such possibility... Well now 3D printers are actually better than schematicannon cuz we can add more CREATivity to building 😳
I was trying to build a decorated tunnel with a tunnel boring machine and somehow found out you could put a schematic in the filter. However, it didn’t work as I had hoped as the schematic has a x,y,z coordinate so it can’t loop as a contraption moves
@@UbersweMinecraft Thanks for the answer. I understand what you mean but even though the schematic has coordinates and it can't loop I don't think it's a problem
I use chain link drives to transfer power between the moving parts and then sticky mechanical pistons. You can find the world download in the description where you can try it for yourself
My 50 steps guide might be an option as it gives you a path to progress and try different things and there is a follow up video with 50 more steps if you would like to continue where this one leaves off ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u2kWrwl7zYg.html
Fun Fact: Mechanical Arms will still interact with depots even if rotated around. Thus you can do sequential crafting in a circle instead of in a straight line. Same with any Create blocks such as Basins.
