OMG if there was an "Oscar" award given to the DIYER OF THE YEAR hands down Sherri would win. You are amazingly the most creative DIYER by far. Thank you for sharing your gift with us...BLESSINGS.
Agreed. She's in a class by herself; no one else comes close. I keep saying this....you could give 1000 people the same raw materials and no one could make something as ingenious and beautiful as Sherri does. So inspiring!
When I was a little girl my Mom would buy a brand of soap called Sweetheart Soap. It was oval in shape and had a raised design around the edges. She would take a picture from an old Christmas card and use white glue to glue it on the top of the soap and then add some more glue on top to seal the picture. Then she took gold paint and painted the raised design. Your soap project took me back to that memory of my Mom and me crafting. Thanks.
You need to be on TV. You remind me of all the old school decorating, crafting and gardening shows in the 90's before they got replaced by the home remodeling shows. Those pill containers are genius! 🤓
Dear Sherri: your ideas are usually very, very good, but, this week they were off the charts in ingenuity and simplicity!!! I definitely will be making most of these... thank you for sharing your talents and your free images...
I can't wait for Tuesdays. The half hour I spend watching you is a gift to myself. I'm left excited and inspired to create. Being a retired floral designer, my mind gets working again in different directions, I love it. Thankyou for sharing your gifts.
I'm only about a third of the way through the video but I had to stop and comment. The canisters are adorable. The canisters with the pom pom fringe and ornaments look like something from whoville! Absolutely adorable
Pounced on this video as soon as you uploaded!!! Your ideas 💡 are so awesome!!! Great video!!! My fave , hmmmm ALL! The show stoppers were the package adornments!! By the way, the black and white snow flakes with the red berries wrapping paper 😍😍😍😍. Maybe a gift wrapping ideas only video! What next! Can’t wait until next Tuesday!
I had to laugh when you said you decoupaged soap! But the results are beautiful, as are those for the liquid soap dispensers (which I will try). What great reusage of jar lids and pill containers! It's so fun to see you on Tuesdays.
Sherri, you are a genius! I've been trying to come up with gift ideas for my elderly dad and stepmom that would MEAN something to them and you've given me some great, affordable ideas. Bless you girl!
Another amazing ideas of your creative side !!!!!I wish I had saved so many of the things you use in you creations!! I love to watch it so inspires me!!
Wow! This is so perfect!! So much that is perfect for my home and style! And for the gifts I give!! Love it all!! Thank you for the inspiration!! 🤍❤️🎄🎄❤️🤍
You always make my Tuesday mornings so wonderful!! I always love all your ideas. The empty pill bottles ideas were great I would love to see more i always feel so bad throwing all those in the trash and any time I can repurpose items I’m all for it. Thank you again for sharing your ideas!!! ❤️❤️
I wish we had pill bottles here in the UK well Jersey in the Channel Islands actually. They give us boxes filled with pills which you have to plan out to get access to. Roll back the pill bottle in the UK. Going home to Canada New Years 2022. Must ask the family to start collecting their pill bottles..
I'am so in love with everything. I'm so crushing on all of this. I was just going to wrap gifts the usual way but, not now!!!! I wish I had your thought process. Can't tell you how much I so enjoy each and every video. I felt like I was in wonderland with the music you chose. We are blessed to have found you.Thank You Sherry for all your hard work. You are much loved.. Old soul from OHIO. Rebekah.:))
Another lovely video! I never knew soap could be decorated. What a great idea. I like everything you did on this video. Thanks so much for taking the time to teach us new craft projects. Your projects make me think of a little book my grannie received once a month titled Pack O Fun. They were little books that gave instructions on how to make cool thigs from ordinary household stuff and things that would be thrown away. Thanks for the memories !
Excellent idea to top the soap with the ModPodge! Our neighbor made those in the 70’s but once the artwork was attached she dipped the top in melted paraffin. The result was a rather lumpy bar of soap. This is much better!
I can't wait to make those adorable kraft paper mittens to hold the cute pajamas I found for our granddaughters and great-grand! Bless you Sherry for sharing your wonderful creativity with us.
I love gifting a small, handmade ornament with a gift. I attach them to gifts just like a name tag, sometimes with the name tag. Creating handmade ornaments is just so fun.
My head is spinning wanting to get started on all these!! Brilliant!!! Not enough time in my day I feel like with 5 kids 2 son in laws and a grandson ... I want to do them all and most of your other video of decorating with branches 😆
These gift ideas took me back to my grandma and how she gifted...presentation with purpose and tons of thought and love. Thank you for the trip down memory lane!
Love the creative ideas for recycling pill bottles and the craft paper packaging. You're so smart, your former students were very lucky to have you!! Anita in Texas
It makes my Tuesday when you post a new video. I hate the whole thing about having to spend a fortune for a gift that's not unique and special. These are some great ideas!!! Thank you for all the ideas. Very smart!!!! Hope you have a wonderful week!!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
The exploding box was the most creative thing I’ve ever seen. I love the idea!! My grandsons would love that! Thank you for all of your ideas and for explaining them so well. Btw, I’ve invested in large containers of different types of decoupage medium. I remember my mom doing decoupage when I was a child. I’m 55 now and love the memories it brings back and then sharing them while teaching my granddaughter the techniques and projects I see on your channel. (She’s 6 and soaks this all up like a sponge!). Thanks again! Love Tuesday’s with Sherry!
Congratulations! Amazing ideas! We thank you so much! I live in Greece, Europe and my sister is in Italy! We discuss your ideas and try to make them ourselves! We both admire your very much and wish you the best! So happy we found you!
I would so appreciate any one of these gifts! Anything handmade or even partially handcrafted is so meaningful to the receiver and I think it is good for the giver. I have found when I make something for someone I think of that person while I am crafting. ***Excellent ideas and inpirations this morning. I am going to try some version of all of these.***
Everything was so inspiring.! This video is a keeper! Young crafters will learn so much and have fun to boot. Plus it teaches them about “giving with love”! , feeds their imaginations and perfects their skills. Made me want to be a kid again! The music helped create an ambiance of playfulness and holiday spirit. I especially loved the cocoa snowman, too cute! Great ideas!
Good morning, Sherry! What a treasure trove of unique gift ideas! The upcycle candle & matchbox idea is fantastic. Definitely going to recreate that idea. Thank you for sharing & inspiring . Can't wait to see your next installment. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Good morning, Bobbie! Hope you’re enjoying the nice weather we are having this week. I’m so glad you liked the little match boxes. I love the idea of coordinating matches with a candle gift. And, they are so easy to make! I probably should have used the big boxes though.
I haven’t seen such whimsical and beautiful diy Christmas gifts like yours! Every puts out all the same old thing and you have such new and wonderful ideas!!
@@CanterburyCottage I always felt the same way about my mom’s squash dressing. Now it’s a treasured dish at our Holiday gatherings. So thankful for great memories of dear loved ones.
Definitely making the RV soap for my mother! She’s 82 and that is her favorite Christmas movie! When I was a kid our neighbor made holiday soaps but dipped the top in paraffin. This is SO much better! No weird wax chunk!
Once again Sherry your video was so inspiring! I really enjoyed your transforming and reuse of the lids and pill bottles. You are so creative and I look forward to Tuesdays! And "let's get started" brings a smile to my face every time!!!
😂 I love the Christmas Vacation soap and of course it was styled in perfect Sherry fashion. Thank you for sharing your creativity with the world, you're the best!
The shaped kraft paper gift wrapping is a winner!!!!!!! Headed to Dollar Tree this morning for supplies. Thank you so much for all the inspiring ideas.
P.S. I love today's music accompanying this video. Everyone else is using the same Xmas tune. Your's is a refreshing change and so beautiful. Thank you.
My daughter had some old recipes framed for me for Christmas one year. One from my mother and one from my grandmother. I absolutely love things like that!!! So thoughtful.
I live watching your videos you are so creative I was saving pill bottles but could not think of what to do with them but thanks to you now I know exactly how to use them your amazing god bless
You never cease to amaze me! I did brown paper packages tied up with strings for my gifts, thinking I was being clever! Lol now I'm going to have to rethink that and cut out shapes! I love the tin with the twigs! Who am I kidding, I love EVERYTHING!! 🎄
Oh these are wonderful ideas! So many beautiful and useful projects. I love using tins and can’t believe I’ve never thought of painting and embellishing them! They are so much nicer. I’ll definitely be making the paper shape wrappers (it’s a tradition for us to make gifts disguised) and the pill covers! Another eye opener for me. 😊 Sherri, I hope you are in the works of making a book. Your ideas are so visually exciting and follow easy steps. I pour over my old Martha Stewart coffee table books about the holidays and I’d love to update her ideas with your amazing twists on ordinary things. Please consider it!
Oh, Stephanie. You are so so sweet! I just may do some research on what it takes to create a book, but I don’t know where I would find the time to write it. I am very flattered at the suggestion though.😊
I too love this video. There are so many videos for Christmas decor, but for those of us who consider our packages part of our decor, this was a real winner. I loved the simplicity of the items and the fact that most of us have these items sitting around our homes. Thank you and I will be trying most of these ideas.
I absolutely love this video! The craft paper mitten for gifting odd shaped gifts, or socks is so cute! It would be fun for those that have little ones in the house to color or do little hand prints all over! This would also be fun for gifting dog or cat gifts! My boxer LOVES when he can “open” his gifts on his own! (Of course with supervision). Anyway, as always you came up with great ideas to use things we already have around the house! And I agree… making the wrapping personal to the recipient is such a special touch that they will remember as much as the actual gift!
Thank you, Shawn! I am so glad I could share some ideas with you. My son’s girlfriend just got a new kitten, so I am going to make a cat shaped package for one of her gifts, too.
Hi Sherry I love all your videos as there is always something I get out of them. I don’t live in a country that has the stores that you have so we make do with whatever we can. I get a kick out of making something from things you would throw out. Looking forward for the next video. Have an awesome week.
I thought about your canister trees. You could use thin magnets to join the tins so you could still take them apart. So cute. I will be using these ideas for tins. I LOVE all your ideas!
Can I just say I think you’re simply brilliant!! I love everything you do! I’m having the best time going back through all your videos! They are truly a treat to watch!!🥰
You're the best creator here on You Tube! I'm definitely going to wrap some gifts in fun shapes with the brown paper! Thank you so much for all your inspiration. Everything you do is so unique and beautiful. Thank you for sharing💕
I looked forward to your creativity weekly. Your gifts are difficult to choose from because each one is "your baby"......a part of you. How can you give one up? Never-the-less, the Hummingbird lamp would be my choice....parting is such sweet sorrow-- for you and your crafted pieces. So love your presentations!
Thanks Sherry for another fun and unique video. My favorite was the exploding box for your nephew! So thoughtful and made specifically for him…even the tag!!! He’s going to love it. 2nd fav was the wooden spoons!! Love this video and look forward to the next one!! Thanks for sharing.
I’m watching this 11 months later. Just in time for holiday crafting❗️I think you can make anything fun, festive and adorable❣️ I always enjoy my time with you🤩 Plus a huge thanks for sharing your printables 😻 Bless you 😘
Sherry! Thank you for another fabulous video! I LOVE the recipe idea and will try it with my grandmother's cranberry salad recipe. Pill bottles? That was awesome! Your sweet nods to nature inspired design inspires me. Those kind can last through the winter, not just for Christmas time. Loved the blooper at the end with your kitty! 😺
Sherry, these ideas are so creative and easy to do. Watching this video was so peaceful that it made me feel like I could create a lot of these ideas. I am going to have a very fun day thanks to your inspirations. Can't wait for next Tuesday.
You can make these, Pamela-they were all easy. The most difficult project was applying the white birch tree vinyl to the cheap (unsealed) Walmart chalk paint!
I just love all of your unique ideas each week! I can't choose a favorite because they're all so great! Your nephew is gonna love that exploding box! I love all of the vintage prints you use. I so need to get a printer!! Thanks for sharing all of these awesome ideas with us!! 🎄⛄🦌🎅🤶♥️
Omg all of these ideas are so awesome. Jasper is going to LOVE that Minecraft exploding box and Sadie will love the wolf ornament. That was an excellent idea to use your mom's recipe on that tea towel. Scott has been wanting us to make her onion pie.
Sherry, I was so happy to see the extra bit of video at the end when your sweet and gorgeous kitty jumped up to the back of your chair!! And you laughed so good-naturedly!! What a completely unexpected and delightful moment!!! Thank you for not editing it out!!! With regards to your projects: what an amazing myriad of thoughtful and heart-warming gifts! I will definitely make some of the gift tag/ornaments you showed us towards the end of today's video. I also have a small collection (cough...) of Xmas cans that I will now paint and repurpose! I love nature as you do and will make some nature-inspired cans such as the twig-wrapped can you kept.😊❤❤ Thanks again ever so much for your warmth and kindness and BRILLIANCE! I look forward every Tuesday to watch your video! God bless, eh?❤❤❤😊🌲🌲🌲🍁🍁🍁☃️☃️🎄🎄
Gorgeous! I find myself getting lost in these videos. Your voice and the setting I which you create these ideas is so comforting and you make it look so simple. Thank you! I am really enjoying your channel.
Thank you so much for the first idea! We did a similar craft as a gift for parents when I was in elementary school. I have wondered how.it was done ever since.
As always, creative, fun and unique. I plan to make the brown paper mittens and stockings to wrap the boring gifts. I may try the soap and use botanical prints and wrap them with lavender or herbs for my holistic minded daughter. I love the pill bottle idea (luckily I don’t have any pill bottles), but may use other items. Thanks for the creative ideas.
I wanted to add some woodland animal ornaments to my Christmas tree this year. You gave me so many unique ideas to try from this video. As always thank you! Another saved video from you!
I agree with Maria, you win the Oscar. Your videos are always so unique and completely original. Your channel rocks. We are so lucky to have you. Thank you for all you do for us. 💕
