Those BioShock Infinite demos made it seem like the skyline was going to let you go wherever you wanted in Columbia. Not just small tracks in combat arenas plus the game saying shooting attracts attention.
Damn that cut plasmid "Parasitic Healing" sounded interesting, now just learning about that! Us BioShock fans could've had a field day with all this extra content that never made it... Good video Erik, also stay strong brother. 🤙🏼
Agree that Bioshock 2 is underrated. Play mechanics are better than Bioshock 1 due to improved hacking method (don't like the plumbing simulator) and the ability to simultaneously use plasmids and weapons. Plus Minerva's Den is the best DLC (IMHO)
I'm 100% all for more enemies and areas to explore. Be able to extend the life period and awesomeness of the game and enjoy the experience. Some of the new games feel so short but a lot of the stuff you talked about would have been cool to see in the game. Could you imagine the fun and different possibilities we could have had if a big portion of it wasn't cut out.
Bioshock 2 is like TLOU part 2 for me,not that great story like the first installments,but the game mechanics makes forget me fully about that,beacuase it’s so much fun playing it.
Its interesting to see that there is so much cut content in the games, but it didnt turn out that bad and i am sure the devs had good reasons to remove most of this stuff, its also great to see you still covering this game in depth even after all this time, thanks for the awesome videos Erik! Edit: parastic healing reminds me of that mechanic in doom 3 dlc where you would use a ruin that can kill ANY enemy and all the health of the demon would go to you

I'm not too sure the cut underwater combat would have worked all too well. Most of your weapons wouldn't work, except maybe the spear gun and the drill. Also, most of your Plasmids wouldn't work either. Electrobolt, Incinerate, and Winter's blast are obvious. The bees couldn't function because they can't breath, and the summon security as well. And the ones that require you throwing an orb, like Hypnotize or Gravity Well, wouldn't throw as well underwater. Overall, the combat would be *much* more limited, which clashes against the game's approach of giving you a bunch of options to handle combat.
I didnt play these games when they first came out, so i have no nostalgia goggles thankfukly. I love all these games and BioShock 2 is just the best one imo. And the DLC is my favorite of all games ive played.
I mean honestly with the Jetpack You also have to think what was Columbia’s layout like what is the more verticality? So you had to have the Jetpack to fly up to higher spots in order to progress was there a air combat with flying enemies we’ll probably never know but it makes you think doesn’t it
@@TheBioshockHub maybe you can suggest the idea for if your mom gets Surgery as a way to help her to Recover from the Surgery I actually took a Weekend vacation afterwards in Leavenworth Washington & I need it to help me to heal with my Hotel room became my Recovery room Erik. 😉
