love your videos. just one thing: the audio on your intro music is so low , that once love got it adjusted and the voice starts it will rip your eardrum. on all videos I saw so far 😂
My maroon Kaweco is the worst 😂 the nib (Medium) is so scratchy at first and then it gets scratchy every other two minutes. Does anyone else have this issue?! 😢
I have found that sometimes Kaweco nibs need a bit of tuning. Others have mentioned the same thing. The nibs can be dry writers, which is easily fixed. If the nib is scratchy, try looking at it under magnification to see of the tines are properly aligned or if one is higher/lower than the other.
this is the only single thing that prevents me from loving Kaweco Sports .. they are very unpredictable .. I have three and two of them are so difficult to work with that I unfortunately do not use them anymore .. the only one I still use is the IR pearl and only with kaweco cartridges (any other inks I have do not work with the tiny converter .. someone suggested eyedroping them, but - I am too chicken to do that :D
Fox orange kaweco sport was my first fountain pen & I have four of them now! Fox orange, black, white & mellow blue. Always a great one to travel with - thank you for the explanation of each model Daisy!
Thanks for this video! I am amazed at how many Kaweco pens some of the fountain pen collectors who make videos on RU-vid have. Now I have a conceptual understanding of the brand thanks to this video.
What a timely video! I was going to buy a Kaweco sport aluminum version in the beautiful iguana blue yesterday but decided to wait until I did more research on it first. Thanks for the explanations. Now need to decide on the nib size!
I dont like the plastic ones at all. Id take a $3 chinese moonman over a $30 kaweco. The aluminum sports aren't as bad, but I decided to EDC the hello kitty collaboration, dropped it once and the dent on the end made the cap not post. I had to sand it so it would fit and now it has a giant mark on it lmao. Im going back to my tactile turn, it worked for years and the minute I switch it goes downhill.
another thing i just noticed is that one of my plastic sports has two dots or circles, as if it was a sprig or handle for later processing, on the bottom of the pen or top if you're writing with it uncapped, it looks like it was cut or sanded down, oh it could be the exit path when it was injected molded or whatever, the circles or dots are on the opposite side of "made in germany", could be another collection criteria, haha, the 1 with two dots is a Skyline Fox Fine, the other two are a Skyline Fox Fine as well and a Collection Cyan Medium, 2, 05, 2024 day month year
I started with the iridescent pearl and now have 3 of them. It's a great pen to carry everywhere with you and is affordable enough not to be devastated if you drop it. One day I'll treat myself to the brass one.
Yes! The ART sport is another one and there is even one or two other models we didn't include in this video! The newer ART sports come with clips and there are some very small discrepancies between dimensions so we chose to exclude them in this video.
I'm pretty sure that "gold-plated" means actual gold plating over metal, which these nibs and trims are not. They are gold-toned metal on the Kaweco Classic and other Kaweco pens featuring gold trims. No real gold involved.
