Bring a refillable water bottle or collapsible cup w/ carabiner attached. You can get free ice and water from any Coke freestyle machine. Also a lot of quick service places have water cups sitting out on the counters as well. The free ride lockers are long and slim. So you need to lay your water bottle on its side in order to stow. And it will need to be empty. (Even your Coke free style souvenir cup has to be empty. ) Having a small collapsible cup attached to you bag or belt loop helps solve this problem.
Not sure if you've covered this before, but I feel like this isn't talked about enough, is to try to schedule your meals around what rides you want to go on. If you're going to have lunch/dinner, make sure to go on the big roller coasters and rides beforehand because you won't be full. Unless you don't have the express pass and walking for 40min-1hr ish will help. But with the express pass, we typically go on the big/shaky rides then have a meal and then check out the stores/less shaky rides. That way you don't waste any time.
So it’s deceiving as it’s a time slot which is wide open and you would still have to wait on line to order and get an available table etc as they both are quick service. Still a great deal 👍🏻
I find it hilarious when all vloggers are like: to avoid waiting in line for Hagrid come to early park admission an hour before it opens. But what do they think you do for the hour besides wait in line? Nothing. You wait in line. So add that Hour of waiting in line onto your wait time and did you really save anything? Probably not except for you save yourself From extra sleep. L O L.
I mean I don’t disagree that the extra hour of sleep is great, but I always look at it like you are not paying for that hour before early park admission starts. Once it starts you’re paying to be in the theme park and I would rather get on as many rides as possible during that time. Just my point of view and I appreciate you calling me a “vlogger” I feel like I have officially made it lol 🙌🏻
I agree with you man, if get to EPA and wait an hour for Hagrids, and then when the park ACTUALLY opens I've already rode it, I call it a win. I'm not waiting an hour OUTSIDE the park just to wait again
I've actually been when early park admission was at Universal side. It was really weird... and i think it was only 1 day out of our trip. It was def 2-3 years ago
We are planning on Going for the holiday season, which I know is the busiest time of the year, I was wondering if I buy the 1 park 1 day for each park, which I understand that we won't be able to go on the Harry potter train ride, which is excluded and you need park to park tickets, but is there any other Harry potter rides I can do without the Park 2 Park Tickets?
We’re coming from the UK late October till mid November 2024.Love Universal .Cant wait for Epic .My grandchildren have just found Harry Potter.I will be taking them August 2025
We are planning to go on the first week of november 2024, is it worth it? Because of the crowd The idea is to go to both Universal Studios parks (Volcano Bay excluded) for two days, one for each park
You can absolutely tell the cast Member “hey I’m just walking through” at the front of the line to board the ride. -and then exit without riding. You can also do this if you change your mind. I’ve done this a ton of times as I get Motion sick. I always bring my motion sickness pills and also pepto. There are a lot of rides that will make you sick. CGI, and motion sim is a big thing in a lot of the rides there. HOWEVER! There are a lot of shows and other things to see and do there without going on the rides.
I'm coming down from MN May 23rd 2024 and bringing 9 guys to these two parks for a bachelor party. Any other ways to get better priced tickets, early admission without staying at one of their resorts or any other advice you have for our group? We are hoping to do both IoA and Universal in one day. Appreciate any help you can provide.
Hi, thanks so much for checking out our video! If you send me an email at Mike @ the park prodigy.com I will send you a bunch of our free planning resources to help as much as I can 👍🏻
Another vlogger said you only need to stay 1 night at a universal resort to get early park admission for the length of your trip. They said one night at the top tier gets you the express pass for the length of your trip too.
@lreavis2 we ended up getting a couple rooms at kingstown reef where one of our parties parents has a time share or something. So we could all be in a big room. Saved us quite a bit of money already. Last I saw though the fast passes were 174 per person on top of ticket cost. That's a whole bunch of money haha
I was bummed to find out about Epic. Our trip is in 10 days but I’m looking forward to exploring everything now. Maybe crowds will be down this year with the anticipation of the new park. We are thinking about returning to see Epic when my oldest graduates in a few years!
We purchased tickets online...if I use that brown kiosk to print physical tickets....what about the Express Passes? They are on my phone...I sort of want each person to have their own..
Another tip for people with large vans or duallys: parking at the resort hotels is extremely difficult for this size of vehicle. Our handicap pass was the only thing that even made it possible for us to fit into a space. We also had an issue at the local outlet mall.
Maybe. But, I have heard that Universal Orlando is cutting their Talent. So, I do not know if The Universal Classic Monsters Characters will be coming to The Parks this Year. We will have to wait and see!
Question on the refillable water bottle. I see this mentioned often, but the tickets specifically say no water bottles. So are you refilling a normal clear water bottle? I assumed they didn't allow a standard Hydroflask type of water bottle so people don't bring in booze. No one is clear on what type of "water bottle" is allowed.
Yes. You can bring in empty water bottles. Similar rules to when flying. Great tip is to get a “collapsible” cup. That way you can get free ice and water froM ANY coke freestyle machine, and once your cup is empty, you can collapse it down and either have it attached with a carabiner clip to your bag, or belt loop. That way if you’re in line or getting on a ride (or need to put your stuff in a locker)- you won’t have a full bottle to worry about leaking etc. as those free ride lockers are slim and long. So you need to lay your water bottle on its side to fit. So having the coke free style cup- you need to empty it first in order put it in the locker. And they have “empty” stations in order for You to do this in the locker areas.
So, the Lighthouse that stands at the Entrance to Islands of Adventure DOES have a foghorn?! If that is the case, then, I will just take The Hogwarts Express over to IOA.
