If you enjoy this video, watch Over 40 MAKEUP TIPS! How I've Changed My Makeup over 40 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J-ZWJTxi48s.html
Yes over 60’s please. I’m almost 67. Seems like a lot of makeup artists are in their 40’s. I would love to see videos on people my age! Just amazes me how these 40 something women put on a layer of concealer under their eyes. I’m looking and thinking what are they concealing? I see no dark circles or imperfections that require all this concealer!
So happy to see makeup tutorials making their way back in! A lot of RU-vidrs have gone away from it and it's just so much fun to watch and also to learn from and practice with! Thank you Lisa for another amazing video!
@treon8626 Thank you, for your comment about Glam Girl Gabi. I immediately, checked her channel after reading your comment. I want you to know, this made my day. Many BLESSINGS~Kimber🙂😉
Absolutely! I have been told to contour along the jowls to help to create a shadow. However, I want to know how to do this without having a stark contrast to your neck color.
@@treon8626Nikol Johnson also has great makeup tips for women over a certain age, I’m pretty sure she used to run a series of makeup tutorials for women in each age category, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and so on, she’s absolutely gorgeous and a real classy lady for her age which I think she’s maybe 48 years old, aging gracefully as a woman with gray hair and the clothes she wears are Absolutely Out Of This World 🤩🤩🤩❤️❤️
FINALLY! Someone points out that fat pads shift and drop as we age and cheeks hollow. The last thing anyone needs who is experiencing this is contouring under the cheekbones. Your face is so beautiful I wish you would demonstrate this on someone older so that it would be really apparent. That would really be a public service for more mature women. Terrific video. Kudos!
I loved this video because you did not make the "wrong" side wrong by a mile. Funny thing is that you look pretty no matter what. I also love that you let us know that the camera can make things look better than what they really are, especially with things like the foundation showing dry spots, texture, etc. I have seen Andreea Ali use Angie's concealer brush as well as other BK brushes.
I love that you said you teach the theory behind the steps instead of just explaining the steps. I’ve seen sooooo many videos that go through the steps without explaining what they are using and why they are using it, which leads to people running to purchase products and then having no clue how to use them correctly. I thank you for this! I’m a 50 year old woman that has always done just basic makeup application: a powder, mascara and lipgloss. I’m now wanting to learn to apply a full face that I can wear daily. I’ve only watched two of your videos and they have helped me tremendously!
What no one really addresses with foundation is: yes my skin may be dry however I use multiple serums, moisturizer and spf under foundation and that doesn’t include a primer in the mix which I use on occasion. So even though my skin type may be normal to dry but till I get my skincare on my skin is no longer dry. So when I put a dewy foundation on I look like a greaseball. But I do agree with your recommendations. Thanks! 67 here and lately less is more for me.
My absolute favorite video! I’ve played while applying make up a few times. The eyeshadow is so true. I was doing the way I did in high school! My daughter nicely told me to blend, blend, blend. Thank you so much!
Please, please could you do a tutorial with a 60 yr old model? How best to brighten up saggy, baggy, crepey skin for a fresher look? Love your skills and talent ❤
Great demonstration! The “don’t” side ages us all. I’m proud to say I’ve adopted all of your tips about a year ago and people think I’m 15 yrs younger than I am. Brows brows brows…are everything! No harsh brows, soft and light. I want to try that city beauty. Ive heard it raved about enough to think I’ll like it. Thanks Lisa! ❤️
Just by pictures her wrong side to me looks younger, more lifted and more defined. Age removes definition around the eyes and lips and her right side plays into it
Lisa, you are so delightful! I really want to start using brushes for foundation application, but haven't been able to wrap my mind how; it seems like it'd be a ton of work if you have to wash them every single time you use them. But then if you DON'T wash them, it would seem like a bacteria trap. I've gotta be missing something here! 😂
Would love a tutorial on how to choose colors for eyeshadow from eye shadow palettes. Like Mario’s new palettes. Love your videos! You have taught me so much! ❤
I’m 66 and lining the lips with a lip pencil just isn’t possible-too many vertical lip lines on the upper lip-the pencil catches on them and looks awful. I have to use a liquid lipstick, define the shape with the applicator and then fill in.
I’m having a hard time figuring out my concealer shade. I’m probably definitely going too light at the moment. Hopefully I’ll figure it out. Great tips. Thank you for the great video. 🙏❤️
I enjoyed this so much Lisa, thank you! I appreciated every single product application you featured. You are the best teacher with humor and fun, I remember the 2016 techniques, wow I was so overwhelmed back then LOL. Yessssss to lining lips, I skipped liner for so long, now I love the look after lining my lips. Have a great week, blessings to you and your family!
I learned a new thing about blush placement. I tend to go on the front of my cheeks and sweep it over my nose. Too much perhaps. I'm going to try your placement with it next time.
I like the don’t side way better, and I really don’t care what anyone else thinks. Do whatever you like regardless of your age. If you feel good, it shows.
Great video 📸. So glad you went over so much information. I hadn't seen any of your videos for a couple of weeks. I especially have issues applying the correct concealer.
Great instruction! Thank you! I would love to see a detailed video about doing brows on 60+ woman who has almost non-existent brows. I struggle with rhe shaping a lot! Please, please, please!
I have deep set eyes with a prominent brow bone and larger space between the brow bone and the brow. Do I just go up higher with my transition/crease shades? Otherwise I have this large blank space. I don't know how high to go up. If you could demo this on someone like me, that'd be great! Love your instructional videos!
I learned from another youtuber to double moisturize under your eye. So once when you moisturize before starting your makeup routine, and again RIGHT BEFORE you apply concealer. I am 60 and this has been such a game changer for me.
Thank you. I love these type of videos. Can you please do one for Women 50 onwards? And best way to apply blush with high cheek bones but fuller face over 50. Thank you ❤
Would have loved to have seen a wear test (if you had a home based day lol) as you were mentioning throughout the video the negative issues that would happen over time, but we didn’t get to see that. A comparison after a number of hours would be super helpful 😊
Brow tip...nothing matches my silver...so i use a taupeish color and go over it with a touch of white eyelash primer...just a tad ...avoids the groucho marx look. Need white to mix especially right brow that has hardly any white. The best happy mexium... really match my hair better. Godspeed Dee
I still struggle with finding the right shade! I do get matched at local beauty stores, but I walk out too warm or too pink. I am Light/Medium Neutral, any recommendations? Great video , I would love more tips!
I love it! I'm 64, nearly 65 and I put it on while I'm putting on my makeup. By the time I'm ready to do my lips, they are hydrated and a little more plump.
I remember in the 90s and 00s people going back and forth whether you should start with concealer or foundation, and eventually Beauty RU-vid settled on foundation followed by spot concealing where you need it
City lip products are amazing! I bought the same colors you have recommended…I do have a little lip filler from over a year ago, but when I put my clear, my lips look amazing. I use the oil every night as well
Lisa sweet heart watching your that you did in April and you really do much more beautiful when you were a few pounds heavier when i saw your video on Monday September this week you look as if you have lost some weight i don't know why and i am not being being unkind but you look absolutely look far more heavier always take care of yourself love Maria from Cyprus 🎉❤xxxx
I never used lipliner for a long time but it really does make a difference. However, my lips are gradually disappearing as I age. The darker the color the smaller the lips. I am fair & I've been searching for a lipliner light in color that will define my lips but will also blend out. Do you have any suggestions? You are an inspiration & I always learn something new from your videos. I always have City Lips & use many City Beauty products. Lv them. Thku Lisa😊
Please do a skin prep sequence routine for before makeup? For example: -moisturizer -serum -color correcting -pore filling -sunscreen -primer I feel like at my age i should be using all of them and I have all of them but I skip them because I don't know the correct sequence and my makeup looks wrong if I do.
Great video I am 66and I have always been using a light foundation but I can see now that will get a little darker colour hope you can do more video s like I really have been very sick for the past 4 years I lost a lot of weight .many showing on my face let's hope 🙏 this will be the end I do plan to maybe do so fillers and botox it might help but I will try to make up the you showed evening at the moment I have very good brand name but all in powder form thank Maria 🎉❤
Hello…I see a lot of praise…well deserved…AND lots of requests to feature an older model…AND…I’m offering to be just that! I’m 73 1/2 and I live in Houston and I haven’t had “procedures” of any kind…though I color my hair…I’d be thrilled to come to you and learn myself while you teach your fans! I work part time, but I’d be delighted to come at your convenience and I’d bring a Goode and Co pecan pie to sweeten the deal! How’s that for an irresistible offer? I hope you say yes! Ellen
And I can join you two for a 50yr old model. Makeup has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. After doing makeup for over 35yrs Now, I'm having fun playing with it with my Granddaughters. My 5yr (5 May 7th) can do a full face of Glam. She was so upset with us when we told her she could not wear makeup to school. 😂 Unfortunately now I'm in a wheelchair from being injured in the line of duty after 12yrs of working as a Fire Fighter and Medic. I did that full-time and makeup on the side. I started a channel here, but, I have been doubting that people are going to want to see how a disabled woman in a wheelchair does makeup, or clothing hauls, shopping etc. But, I also know that the cameras and equipment you guys use is expensive and living off of what I get from Social security Disability is less than $1,300 a month. How's that for having paid into it with my taxes since I had my 1st Job at 14. It equals out to be between $3-$4 an hour LESS than minimum wage. Teenagers working at McDonald's are making more than what I get, how is that fair? And yet the Right side of the Political Spectrum wants to take the little we do get away from us. If I could get out and get a job, I would. I can't even tell you what my Career meant to me. It was everything. And I miss it Tremendously.
Hi Lisa. Some fabulous tips as always. How about a video for those of us over 60? I loved when you had your mom on. You did a marvelous job on her, but that was some time ago. I'd greatly appreciate it, and I'm sure others would as well. I volunteer to be your model! If only we were in the same state! Big hugs, sweet Lisa. 💖😘🩷
I see so many influencers on RU-vid using way too much blush and getting the “all over the face” look you showed. Thanks for showing us how to get a softer blush look!
I think here she's just advising how to get a natural, cohesive, clean, fresh, blended, soft, feminine "everyday" professional look for anyone who IS interested in getting a more flawless flattering look. We've all seen the ladies with the whole bright red cheeks with hot pink lipstick and smeared heavy black eyeliner and caked on foundation in way too light/dark of a shade (worst case scenario) well if that genuinely makes her feel great COOL, don't change it but if you're someone who genuinely wants to upgrade their skills and that doesn't mean to not play with colors , placements, textures, formulas etc. but to not have it come off as tacky in the office, church, court, kids wedding, pro pics, etc.
@@femininityfaith7920 .. That's kinda my point. You don't have to look tacky just because you play with color. I've seen a lot of beautiful older gals who still enjoy expressing themselves with fashion and color!
@@hedymills1372 100% agree, there is just a difference between looking for instance "clownish" if your not going for the look of "clownish" though lol. I'm pretty sure we can all understand that concept? There is pretty clear data to back up that different colors, techniques and such just appease to the human eye scientifically, mathematically, in the arts. I don't think anyone really wants to do a contour effect or a lightening technique that takes away from our natural beauty purposely. It's a matter of taste, however I believe women inherently have a predisposition and yearning to enhance our beauty as opposed to men since the beginning of time. Weather it's for ourselves, others, or even God. Most of us know what we like on us however we tend to still ask a trustworthy friend "what do you think about this?, does this look ok? It matters to us. Some women due to trauma lets say may want the opposite & prefer to hide & not groom themselves in an uplifting way but see that's really sad , said woman feels that way. Sometimes more is not always better, sometimes less is not always better. On the topic of just color I'd say, there's really flattering ways to add color to any age, and theirs also really unflattering ways to do color on any age!Special affects makeup & Halloween makeup are sold differently and separately from the real, everyday makeup brand, store, isle, it wouldn't sell it wouldn't be feasible for the everyday women. 🩷❤️🩷❤️
I think she is great! Easy to look clownish, application of makeup is a skill! Natural is IN! Always has been! Cakey makeup is OUT! If people are complaining. I’m sure the circus has some RU-vid Videos available. JS
Thanks so much for showing the good & the bad side & making the bad side relatable! Then showing the good side, the how & whys, priceless!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Love these kind of realistic videos!!❤
Please would you do a make over of someone in their 60s+ who has hooded eyes? As we age we need new tips of how to apply make up to eyes that no longer have lid space and have developed downward skin PLEASE 🙏
