So when Afton is now in a position where it's caught up, or where he's even begging for damnation, having his montra spat back at him by the final decrepit form he took prior to his end would be mocking Afton; he believed he'd always be back no matter what, yet here he is, in a game rigged against him where the action he feared most constantly occurs: dying. Over and over again. Like idk, Afton fears death and consequences, here he's getting both forever.

My theory on the Mediocer Melodies is that...those are simply Cassidys favrite Animatronics. A bit of fun lore fore her as we know nothing about her, Cassidy loves the Mediocer Melodies and prefers them over the acual Freddy Krew. Maybe she saw them when the Springlock Suits where phazed out and just never grew as fond of the acual cast. So thers acual no sinister reason why she speaks through them. She just...realy likes them

I never interpreted Mangle's lines as nice, I see it as her being completely insane, coping by saying his maimed body is "beautiful" and wanting to make make you "beautiful" too. Oh, and the reason Fredbear's lines are so generic is because they were intended to be Freddy's lines, but Scott was apprehensive about giving Freddy a canon voice, that's why they are very fitting for Freddy but have nothing to do with Fredbear

I like the idea that everyone is doing ir bit not really as into it as the vengeful spirit. Might be why they only show up every now and then canonically?
This is my personal theory. I think the Puppet's "I don't hate you, but you need to get out of my way" line isn't to Afton. I think they're talking to the Vengeful Spirit, because Charlie just wants to put the spirits to rest. The spirit, however, just wants to keep everyone here forever to torment William. Withered Bonnie's "is it you trapped here or is it me? Perhaps it is us both" line makes me think this even more.
Mr. Hippo has always reminded me of Columbo, both with his voice and his meandering stories. I can vividly imagine Mr. Hippo patting down his pockets and doing a slow spin around before asking for a pen
Fredbear says "There's more fantasy and fun where THAT came from". Simple word change but changes the meaning entirely. It's just a play on "There's more where that came from!" rather than an implication of what location he's from
I have a BOLD claim. VERY bold. My theory is that Mr.Hippo is Scott trying to tell us that he never meant to make the lore so deep. Possibly he is trying to tell us that there is too much by now, to keep a good count of all lore. The first time I heard Maybe It Means Nothing At All, I had an assumption that it meant Scott never meant for lore to even exist. And now with Help Wanted, Security Breach, and even HW2, it’s really just like.. Maybe it meant nothing at all. Just an idea I had. (Edit: Thanks for all the likes, guys! Consider, in the Steel Wool games, Help Wanted onward, the first 7+Fnaf World are all developed by the "rogue indie developer" who they say is smearing the Fazbear name. It's so weird that the high school years' lines feel like they have to line up with william's killings, but their order is seemingly random with random characters attached, a few killings that are really out there (did he tell a kid that his house was on fire? and the kid thought they could help with that!?), and even the killings that do line up a bit (one that sounds like susie, charlie, and midnight motorist) only line up about halfway. Honestly, every third thing in fnaf feels like trying to solve a puzzle after half the pieces were left in the rain and the other half were thrown into a volcano.
For Nightmare Freddy's "In your shadow", I think it might be about Fazbear Entertainment never being able to escape William Afton and his crimes. No matter what shape it takes, who looks at it, when it is remade, those deaths and that franchise are forever linked. One leads to the other, as seen in Security Breach.
I think what Nightmare Freddy meant by "in your shadow" was that he's like, always behind William. either he's always hunting William, or he's a dark reflection of Afton's idea of himself. Or it could be how he thinks of Henry, and Henry's achievements

I think Orville as the lead of the mostly informal and half-southern Mediocre melodies kind of makes sense. I imagine it's the same thought process fazbear entertainment (and Scott for that matter) had when designing foxy. They both work as a foil to the main group of animatronics and have a unique gimmick that sets them apart from their contemporaries. I imagine in this case Orville is sort of the "eccentric ringleader" who's gathered all of the Mediocre melodies into one band, regardless of how well they do or don't mesh with his personality
The "I'll make slippers off you" lines sounds EXACTLY like Elvis Presley's The Wonder of You. "And that's the wonder, the wonder of you" verse in specific.

Mangle is not at peace with her state at all, lol. In AR, characters like Mangle, who already had a voice, were given tweaks and reworks to their personalities to make the whole gang more "cohesive". And we see that Mangle is clearly struggling, ranging from melancholic & sarcastic (aka his feminine side) to rageful and bitter (her masculine side) Great vid tho, enjoying it so far!

The fun part about The meta messages in Mr.Hippos all feel like they have a direct Reason like for example, when he says "you believe in something you shouldn't" I feel like thats a little shot at the fact Matpat for years assumed Fnaf 2's calls being Recordings rather then actual calls, Due to the date on the check for FNAF 2 not exactly lining up with Summer. Its such a fun way for Scott to kinda "Vent" for lack of a better term about certain things lol, and Honestly I could listen to Mr.Hippo yap my ear off forever

i like ryetoast's interpretation that the puppet is, in fact, real and in UCN, and that she is working with the vengeful spirit to free the other spirits in fnaf world. i just like the symmetry of sorts, of the puppet and golden freddy both being powerful souls: one dedicated to shepherding the lost souls, the other dedicated to torturing their murderer

the way your voice sounds when you get excited about liking a character's lines was really sweet, and this video was so good. there are some interpretations i disagree with- i think nightmare and nightmarionne's breathing are cool, and lend to a feeling like they are hungry predators who just got a kill and can't wait to dig in, breathing heavier as they nearly salivate at the idea of ripping into fresh meat. on the whole though this video was incredible, definitely an instant sub! keep up the good work!
THE MIMIC!!! 🗣🗣🗣 I watched the entire video while playing Pokemon TCG Pocket, but I'm not going to lie, I listened to the first paragraph of Mr Hippo and skipped the rest. It was interesting to hear all the voices again after a while. When Orville says: "no matter how many times they burn us", it makes me think that the vengeful spirit was in a fire more than once, I wouldn't say that phrase after being burned only once.
Oh my god, this looks beautiful. The voice lines are to this day my favorite thing UCN did, adding a lot of personality to characters that little to none as well as boosting up a lot of already good characters. I’ll watch this as soon as I get some free time and leave a new comment with post video thoughts
re the lockers: i think they’re actually numbered as they should be, a closer look shows that what you’re reading as weird jumps are actually just numbers that are written a bit weird. it’s going 7, 8, 9, with the 6 being obscured by the decreasing level of detail further from chica.
I'm a secondhand fan of FNAF so I've never heard most of these lines. It was really great to see someone go over all of them. You're probably in my Top 3 Fav FNAF theorists and definitely in my Top 5.
When the vengeful spirit takes over Orville, in mind they’re more desperate, like they were losing there grip on Afton just barely keeping him in this hell they created.

Nightmare Freddy, in this case a non-existent, metaphorical representation of the horrible things Afton has done, hides in his shadow, waiting to pounce and give him what he deserves. In short, karma. This also lines up with his behaviour in FNAF 4. Freddy waits behind you on your bed, and you have to constantly look over your shoulder to stop him. If you don't, he strikes you from the shadows right into your back, like karma.
i wonder if difference in puppet and lefty's speech implies puppet the good natured sweet child grew resentful and maybe cannot move on either and just wants to make him suffer.

It's always a privilege to be a part of a Channel and Creator's blow up. tuv and Pastra's in 2021-2022 and TheBones5's this year and now I get to do it all over again with you! Happy 5K, Candi! 🥳UCN is my favorite game LOOORRRE wise because it's William Afton's extended torture by his own Creations annnd when Cassidy eventually Rests, his Pain will get 1000x worse because UCN may be awful but it's not The Darkest Pit of Hell. My own headcanon is that Hell has The Devil laughing while letting Nightmare devour and regurgitate him in the most painful ways for the rest of Eternity. One of his Voicelines straight up says it's how he ends William in UCN. I think his and Nightmare Fredbear have the most painful ways of taking him out because Fredbear was the 2nd animatronic ruined forever by Afton after Springbonnie and Nightmare is literally The Grim Reaper in FNAF 4. They're up there with Cassidy with Berserker Rage that needs to be dealt with. William is TERRIFIED of Death in all of its forms and there's no way he'd go gently into the good night. William would be full on Dr. Facilier. There's an excellent animation of Springtrap being dragged to UCN/TDofH by TheHottestDog with Facilier's voicelines and it's PERFECT. The animatronics are his Friends from the Other Side and like Facilier, William thought that he had everything under control, including them but The FNAF 6 Fire was the blood amulet shattering and his Friends quickly and happily becoming his Enemies because they were waiting so long for him to mess up in a way that he couldn't recover from, even with Remnant and Agony in play. He had NOWHERE TO RUN anymore and they finally got him! It's 1 to 1! Anyway, you have excellent timing because it's about to be second Dinnertime for me and afterwards, I'm gonna do my full self care routine.

The line where he says he comes from somewhere fun could be him luring children or just another line he had to say at work. LOL. You know, it's interesting to me that NM FB with the freddles, represents Mike, Evan, Liz, and maybe Charlie. I could see the littles hanging out together with big bwuther Mikey ('Oh big bwuther...: Thumper's siblings) taking care of them. Anyway, I was thinking this due to the line "...always hiding in your shadows..." Mike was afraid of Willy and I could see him staying in the shadows when he was around William, and then following after him to try to clean up his mess. As well as Mike commenting that he had been mistaken for William....Just a thought.

the nightmares talk a lot about being real and specifically being real to punish afton. i think freddy's shadow line is just referring to the fact that this fate was always following afton, that the vengeful spirit was always going to do this

It was such a fun watch, and it let me get some new interpretations in the characters! I really liked your interpretation of the mangle being “at peace” and I found that a refreshing take as it wasn’t anywhere close to my own, but I really like it! Also, god those anime cutscenes are such a trip, I hadn’t actually even bothered to try to analyze them in any meaningful way, as I just assumed them to be hilarious insanity, but I really found your thoughts on them interesting!

18:34 Hold on a minute, if Cassidy remade the nightmares, how could she have seen them? Even if we were about to say that she knew about them from the memories of the crying chid (Dave), that would mean that both Michael and Dave went through the nightmare experiments of FNAF 4. That could be the reason Dave is afraid of the animatronics but it doesn't make sense for him to be put through the experiments or the punishement that is FNAF 4 with no motive for William, that would imply that he was experimenting on fear long before MCI or any other killings that we know of. (Sorry for the bad English)
It's possible he experimented on his own kid just because. Lots of people think Afton was an abusive father before he lost any of them. It could have been a cruel punishment for even small mistakes

I will throw out though it’s also possible that by Pizza sim, Afton was just more “awake”. Like Charlie said, the Mci kids aren’t totally aware of what’s happening and don’t talk outside UCN and AR, so it’s possible in 3 he wasn’t all there mentally. Maybe to some degree if you think his jumpscare is him trying to look at Mike, but that’s up for debate. The difference with William, though, may have been that not only did he die an adult compared to children, but he’s still directly in his vessel while I’m pretty sure he took kids bodies out at some point. Maybe that helps in some way as if it’s better Wi-Fi connection to his haunted vessel?😅 I mean same difference really, but still interesting to think about.👍

But Scott backed out last minute and recycled his lines for Fredbear. Oooo yknow, if Fredbear does show up in SOTM, I wonder if Kellen will reprise his role and we'll hear it in a game without the distortion.
