They have two more for the Winter Series: Jan. 29th is the next one. We are 50/50 if we'll be there. It's a battle between snowboarding/skiing and mountain biking.
Way to go, fun race indeed, glad you got 6th, very competitive out there! It was nice meeting you at the starting line, this is Ricky BTW, thanks for the shout out! Bobby ended up getting first place but got hurt on the second race doing the warm up lap. I ended up 17th place in the first race so I went down to beginners for the second race, intermediate guys are really fast!
LOL....I looked at the results and I thought you were first or second. That's a bummer for Bobby. He must have been flying on that first lap to get out front. We were in Big Bear so I missed the second race. It was great chatting with you and thanks for the comment.
It totally was. The kids 6-8 can ride with parents. The 9-11 course is well marked and the juniors went ahead of the adults. We may be there next race ....
LOL I don't think so. I think I can podium, but there were a few really fast guys way out front. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Maybe you should come next time????
@MTB MOR I'm thinking of entering the 29th one. Any pointers for my first ever race? I see nobody caring a hydration pack, how do you guys manage without? I think I'll be in the Beginner 40-49 class.
I did my pre ride with my hydration pack. The race is under an hour. You can look at the results and see how long it takes people. I just checked and most of the beginner men were under 40 minutes. Just go and have some fun and pedal hard. When you show up get your leg marked, then take a pre-ride. The winter series felt really mellow to me which I preferred.
