WOW!!!! That was fantastic. I have a Roland at80sl and i am always amazed at what these organs can do. You certainly know how to make one sing. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for your kind words! The Roland Atelier is a fantastic musical instrument and I really enjoy playing it. Hope you enjoy playing on your wonderful organ as I do!

I just wish that Roland would make a decision to bring out the instrument again, if even for a short time. It's one of my favorite "organs" that was every made. I've tried to find a used one, but with no luck. And I've searched between 2 countries where we could travel to buy one and pick it up. But... sigh... no luck.

I know how you feel. They ‘made’ many wonderful organs previously but unfortunately, there is no hope with them. Such a huge loss for organ lovers. Rarely, the second-hand Ateliers come out on internet auctions in Japan like Yahoo! Auction. Recently I saw there was an AT-900C with 25 key pedalboard. It was made a successful bid and was 330k JPN. Kind of cheap price I think. But anyway, I am so sure the Atelier Organ is an absolutely wonderful instrument.

@@AtelierOrgan I would so love one. BUT, my concern would be, that if there is anything wrong with it, I don't know if we can still get parts from Roland to repair them. We just can't get parts for most of the older organs, as with my Yamaha HS8. One of the main processor chips blew, so I called Yamaha directly and interestingly enough, the person I talked to has been with Yamaha for decades and knew the organ I was talking about. I asked if there was any possible chance that some "old stock" might be around that I could buy. But nope, nothing. As it turns out, since it was impossible to get the chip or even a full motherboard, I just stripped it down for parts. I did save the pedal board, which I had just done a maintenance on so that all pedals worked properly again. I still have the keyboards as well. I ended up finding an HS4, which is a downgrade from the HS8, but after fixing its pedal board, it works perfectly. However, if it ever fails to where it's no longer repairable, I'll have to buy a Yamaha Genos 2. But I need my pedals, so I'll make an interface to connect the pedal board to my Midi controller so I'll have even more advanced pedal options. It's really sad that these companies stopped making organs. Now, only a few left, like Wersi, which are very expensive and I can't even imagine how much to ship here to N. America would cost. Not to mention servicing. And those organs from China that are out right now, OMG they sound horrible. They have that 1980s TIN sound to them. And build cheaply.

@@BlondieSL I'm sorry to hear that. I have the same concern as you have. The situation with repair parts is not good. Roland seems to be that they don't support their product of the Atelier series anymore in Japan(except 350C, 100, and 300). They don't even try to come to see what happens to their customers' products. Recently, I called a technician to repair my Technics FA1 organ. They kindly sent a technician to see my organ, but he couldn't fix the problem because Panasonic doesn't have repair parts. Better than Roland but no hope. The most difficult situation with electronic instruments is when it has problems, no one can fix the problem because the spare parts are not available. There are options to get German organs, but yes, very expensive and it's almost impossible to have one for Japanese people. On the other hand, in China, they are making their organs but they are not enough good for our needs... Very sad.

@@AtelierOrgan As a tech, I'm curious, what parts does your FA1 need that the Technic's techs couldn't source? Are the specialty parts, like proprietary chips?
@AtelierOrgan
@AtelierOrgan 9 месяцев назад
@@BlondieSL It is hard to explain that in English, but he didn't know which parts were damaged and needed to be replaced. But I think it needs a circuit board replacement and also the screen is damaged so it is also better to replace it.

Koichi, you are fantastic and your interpretation of this classic is just wonderful! can I ask you something? when you are using rhythms are they always from the Roland organ or do you upload separately in files or wave?
@AtelierOrgan
@AtelierOrgan 2 года назад
It's case by case but the most of time, I use preset rhythm styles and I also use MIDI files sometimes.
