Lauren's voice is faultless and was easily the best of all the girls at this stage. But I never really found her performances to have any sort of truth or believability. It all seemed a bit faked and glossy. I thought Bronté performed better.
Is it just me that thought when Graham said 'why is Bronte going home?' He looked as if he was going to kill ALW? 😂😂 its like his eyes were saying 'you taking my best mate away- fool!'
Neither deserved to be in the bottom 2 and both gave strong acting vocals and singing perfomances. This was a WRONG public vote. It should have at least been emilie and someone else that did bad.
It should have been in between Dani just because of her experience and she needs more practice and emilie because of her lack of vocal training once she has more training emilie will be amazing
Andrew said these two were in his top five, and I can definitely see that. It was a shock that these two were in this position. Bronte had a lot of potential, even if neither of her performances stood out hugely, but still seemed like a strong contender. I'm guessing Lauren was here because of her 'arrogance' that people seem turned off by, which was never a big deal for me. These two were still very solid performers, even if I can see why Andrew picked Lauren based on her experience and she had more of a stick-out voice. Emile should definitely have been in this position, as well as Jessica. Emile clearly struggled a lot with the pop song, and Jessica's vocal range just seemed really limited to me.
You're right, Bronte WAS more suited for Dorothy than Lauren was, but if it comes down to singing or acting, Lauren was still better - although all in all, Bronte would have made a better Dorothy perhaps. But anyway, ALW was clearly unfomfortable with this decision, both of them were in "his personal top five", so I think this decision was really hard for him to make. Lauren was always my favourite, but in my opinion, neither of them should have even be in the sing-off that week.
Here - Lauren is the more accomplished performer. She had already completed her drama school training, and was a few years older than Bronte. Although I thought at the time that Brontë was a raw talent - and probably more naturally gifted than Lauren. Bronte completed her musical theatre training at drama school after this, and now look at her. I would argue her career has already eclipsed Lauren’s. She’s had leading west end roles, and her voice is simply divine.
no, that's not you, but that's because she's got the better parts in that song... and because the public like her more, as nobody seems to like Lauren, which is a shame, because she, just like Bronte, is amazingly talented.
Lydia Bentley I agree with you. It doesn’t make sense for someone to smile during a sad song, and Brontë’s performance was more believable as she definitely showed more emotion in the song then Lauren did.
