Watch it!!!!! I don’t want to spoil what it is but I think you will love it. They gave a little teaser that you obviously haven’t seen (probably a good thing you will probably enjoy it more as a surprise) but there are no content related spoilers.

Fun fact, for opening 22, they had to redo the opening because they got King's wing color wrong. They first showed it white, when it was suppose to be black. And give that the manga is black and white, I'm wondering how they messed that up. Also, Wano is still going on in the manga. We'll be there for a couple of years.

@@annoyingasshole3324 nope. Wano arc in manga is still ongoing until nxt yr and with 1 yr and 3 months gap for the chapter and the episode it covers, Wano arc in anime will end in 2023 or early 2024.

Still can't believe that in just a few hours, One Piece will hit that big milestone of 1,000 episodes. I'm glad that you liked op 23. It's my favorite One Piece opening to date. Also, as a manga reader myself, I can say that the thing about the openings being spoilers for manga readers isn't true. Manga readers would have already read it if they're up to date. They're only spoilers for anime watchers and that's if manga readers themselves haven't spoiled them already 😂😂😂

DREAMIN' ON! - first version black both Kawamatsu and Denjiro. - second version reveal Kawammatsu but still black Denjiro. - third version reveal Denjiro, and changed the his crying to his former face. - fourth version changes a lot of thing from the first version, like Marco, Izo, Neko, the Flying Six. But still black Yamato before her fully debut. - fifth version fully reveal Yamato. p.s. They have been putting scene from the episode in the opening since the HOPE.

At the time of it's release "Over The Top "spoiled" ( or foreshadowed , whichever one you like more ) that Kyoshiro was Denjiro and that Kanjuro was the traitor since it showed Kyoshiro with the Scabbards and Kanjuro was the only one with his back turned . This happened 8-9 months before the reveals in the manga .

My favorite out of these 2 Wano opening was definitely Dreamin' On. Not just for how hyped it sounds, but it also included Jinbe in with most of the crew group shots too!!!!!

In 2005 there were about 200-250 odd episodes. It's been a very wild ride and now we're at 1000. I read the manga but I still hold great affection for the anime. I was 18/19 back then, now I'm 35 but still loving the journey.

I always felt without context from the manga the opening reveals aren't spoilers. Probably the biggest one is Kaido's DF but even then you should already know he has an OP DF and also, its real nature hasn't been put in the anime yet.

@@krittapolau-yeung892 no it did. People are overreacting to it. People say Luffy has a "eye patch" but it's just his eye is shadowed out. His eye is shadowed out in the first opening too, so it's not foreshadowing, it's just copying the opening for 24 years ago

I believe it was Over The Top that "spoiled" manga readers - when the visuals go through the Akazaya Samurai, showing two in every part, Shutenmaru gets paired up with Kyoshiro - strongly implying that he was actually Denjiro. And when it was first released I think we had yet to even see Denjiro in the manga.

Wano has some of the best episodes in the entire anime - 957, 958, 968, 978, 982, 995 all of them were just EPIC, hoping 1000 will be just as good, I wish most of the episodes didn't have terrible pacing though ☹️

There was one Opening, they change the color of Luffy pants from blue to orange and Zoros outfit from green to black. Later they add Jimbei in the opening and then they show Yamatos face what was blurred before

I'm a manga reader and I can safely say that opening 23 did not spoil me at all. They can only put stuff in an opening that has already been seen in a manga chapter that's been released. Otherwise the context of whatever they show might be wrong. On a side note I've never understood people being angry or annoyed at an opening spoiling them. Openings are vague, they may depict something but that doesn't mean it will happen exactly as it does in the opening. And as for that 15-20 second episode preview we've gotten in the past 2-3 openings... I can understand how that might annoy some people but even that shouldn't spoil a 22 minute runtime episode. What it should do is make you curious as to what's going on in the episode or pump you up since that preview gives you little to no context as to what is going on in the episode. It's the same as saying that a 2 minute movie trailer completely spoils an entire 2+ hour long movie.

yeah the updated version of 23 after the Oden flashback added the Tobi Roppo and Yamato before they had been introduced, spoiling that Yamato was a girl if you looked at the shaded image close enough, then they got rid of the shading the episode after she dropped the mask. That and they added Jinbei to all the strawhat group shots.

when they started using this version of this intro first, They didn't show Yamato's Face and was blocking it out with shadows so you couldn't see if it was an guy or Girl. Which they changed after they shown Her face in the episode.

The timing of when openings first appear also means that the manga readers were spoiled by it on a few scenes/shots. Sanji's ranger form... opening showed it first. Luffys Ryou Haki... seen first in the opening. Its weird alright but even videogames spoiled the manga moments from time to time. Look it up sometime and be amazed.

for OP22 a few big spoilers are Kyoshiro/Denjiro being a scabbard (I'm pretty sure hes beside Ashura) and Yasuie's execution and Kaido's dragon form. It's kinda crazy how much they showed. For 23 its just as bad and there are multiple versions where more gets spoiled 😭

Dreamin on is my favorite after opening 13, the music gets you so hyped and it goes on par with whats happening in the story (onigashima raid)

In version 2 of the Dreamin' On opening, they hid Yamato's face until after she was unmasked in the episodes. Before then, the moment she appears in the opening, she's blacked out so you can only see the silhouette when the mask comes off.

I think 22 is the best opening song ever. The words about “getting there first” “worry later because it’s all sink or swim” “if you want to see a new tomorrow you better polish your skills..” “footsteps becoming a map….new horizons…look how far we’ve come” “it’s brighter and the level of difficulty rises!” OVER THE TOP! it’s the soul of the series really makes you think of where they started to where they are..from buggy to taking down Yonkos crews. Plus the art It’s just an amazing opening!

6:18 I think actually the Reverie arc started inserting snippets of the actual episode into the opening, but it was Over The Top that was designed from the start to have a spot for it. Also the 2004 Reimagined Battlestar Galactica, but that's just reaching.

22 is to this day my favorite One Piece OP. It’s what made me pick the manga back up with the drive to catch back up. It’s my favorite of the three Hiroshi Kitadani, due to just how much it felt like a new adventure. It gets me so pumped up to PUNCH and emperor or two. Much love to 23 to though, took me a sec to warm up to it, but I feel almost as much joy and hype from it as 22

The major differences in opening 23 v1 vs v2 is the color pallets of the straw hats outfits + changing those quick frame by frame shots. But other than that

Fun fact about OP 22, theres a moment that teases Kyoshiros real identity, this was even before they reavealed it the manga. OP 22 is so full of spoilers that it even spoiled manga readers lmaoo

Over the Top reminds me the fact that one scene on the Opening literally appeared 2 or 3 weeks before on the manga. So the spoilers on this one was Really Heavy Not even talking about the spoiler about who was the 9 th samurai that was missing

I only watch the anime, and I just enjoy the openings without giving a damn about the spoilers since opening 1, the only time in the whole series when I felt it was really detrimental to enjoy it was when they showed nico robin with the crew in opening 3, and even then I was curious about how would that happen.

Jami if you go back to OP 22 Over the top and you look at the Akazaya 9. They show Kyoshiro with Kinemon and Raizo and Kanjuro is Turning his back on them. At the point that came out we didnt know for sure Kyoshiro was Denjiro. And Kanjuro was a Spy.
