Yes. It's over the top... In a wonderful way. Thanks for doing the testing for all of us! ❤

Thank so much. We have been on the road for 10 years and get by with hot spots from ATT and Verizon. Love it when the RV park has cable internet.

Hey you two. You remind me a lot of early TechTV. I used to just flip on TechTV back in the day just to watch people talk about tech. Great to geek out with you folks for a bit. Keep up the great work! Happy trails!

Yes, your system is a bit much for my needs but I am so glad to have watched, because of the accessories that help run your systems. Great video, very informative.

Good stuff Chris and Cherie. I have shared it with my friend who will be living onboard a Leopard 45.

Aww.. thanks. But was hoping for comments more like 'I like their bandwidth!'. :D

I'd love if you all covered more international travel for boaters like me. If you could do a video on international data plans that are actually good, that's an underexplored part of the Internet. I have a dumbed down article coming out in April's Latitude 38, but videos are better fodder for such things!
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
We actually have a full collection of international resources available to our members at: www.rvmobileinternet.com/international-resources/ Including a public video with a high level overview - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Arp9CCSP6AU.html. We are however focused on the US based nomad and options for them. That keeps us busy enough as is.

Very cool setup, thanks for sharing this. Cable management must be difficult with changing gear all the time in a mobile environment.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
It really is! That is why it looks a bit like a rat’s nest - it makes changes easier.

FYI with some DIY you can put Dishy directly onto a DC connector. Seeing posts online that say if you drop down the voltage to ~30-35V you can drop the usage to ~30 watts vs ~100.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
Normal usage on 110 is more like 40-60w, not 100w. So that's not a big savings. We have to run an inverter anyway for our residential fridge.

@@MobileInternetResourceCenter Ah! Maybe I am thinking of the power draw with "snow melt mode".
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
We don't encounter snow all that often.. especially on our boat in Florida.

Thanks for the tour. Just wondering, is anything future proof these days?
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
Some are more so than others. The X55 is already obsolete in some aspects now.

Would an omni directional antenna/modem like your dome improve your range at all over like a hotspot (provided the modems are the same) I'm considering hard mounting a low profile antenna on top of the camper after the x65 modems are available to replace the hotspot hanging in the window. (But don't want to deal with yagis or high clearance issues)
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
In theory - yes.

The pepLink 5g router is too expensive for me. I just want to watch Netflix a few hours every night when RVing a few days once a month. I don't want to tie up my T-Moibile iPhone "hotspot". If a leave to walk to the rv store the connection drops while my wife is watch a movie. I'm looking for a cheap 5g cellular router. Any recommendations?
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
You'll want to consider either routers or hotspots, here's our starting place for research: www.rvmobileinternet.com/cellular-devices. If you're one of our members, you can access our reviews and guidance in our forums.

Mr. Jeff B is starting his satellite service to compete with Elon
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
Indeed.. and we have covered that in every one of our satellite industry updates, available at: www.rvmobileinternet.com/satellite-resources

What frosts my butt is how ATT & Verizon calculate data usage. With either we get a total of over 1TB per month, however with Starlink we only get a total of 200GB pre month?@#?! It's like buying a used car and finding out the dealer rolled the odometer back before you got it. Padding usage the cellular providers get to charge way more than you actually use. Anyone else notice this???
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
Starlink's residential service will be capped at 1TB of priority data starting next month before it is 'best effort'. RV/Roam service is always best effort. All of it is unlimited.
