I’m in a position now where I can use almost anything. Thinner oils are something I go for if I’m home all day. For work I’ll go for thicker. With emu and ostrich, I tend to use after I wash my beard or if things are feeling naff. Having a selection of blends and companies is always nice but can now narrow it down to a few I definitely use more just because they really work for me. Got a few rogue ginger hairs in mine so looking forward to going grey 😂

It is rather well known that grey hair are thinner because they lack pigment cells and heavier/thicker oil blends have better feel in beard than thin blends. This is exactly the case with my beard. It is largely grey and feels much better when using a medium to thicker oil blend.

Appreciate your comment thank you for watching mate , just found it really interesting over the years products what are thin don’t work aswell anymore , medium oils are my pic and emu blends work fantastic, appreciate you taking the time to watch

Great video Chris! I think ginger and silver beards are affected the same. I now mainly use medium to heavy oils, like Lux and Yock. Personally I avoid bird fat oils and I love poured butters! Beard looking good chap!

Def got more picky about what i use.. used to get a dry and brittle beard from washes…thats not the case anymore. Curently love the honest amish soap bars, and mix in different cowashes🙂 for oils i mainly use Honyocker, Severn, and some other us brands. Also like the scents complex but not overpowering as I sometimes get a headace from some brands

Very interesting video mate. I've known you for years and have seen how much your beard likes coconut oil so to see the change is very interesting and its not something I've personally noticed yet. I do think the more you dive into the besrd world though you do notice changes, going from no oil to a thin oil for me was the best ever but the more I tried the more I realised thin oils aren't for me. Yes it was better than no oil but oils with a more thicker consistency is for me

Greetings from Greece. I dont have grey or white yet in my beard (only 3 or 4 hairs). I have a beard for about the last 10 years and i started to use beard products about 6 years ago. Started with European companies and Beardbrand but around 4 to 5 years ago i started getting products from the US. My beard is mostly brown with a few red and blonde hairs. There is nothing wrong with Coconut oil but i realised that it does not work well for my beard, it does make it soft but after a couple of hours my beard have a dry feeling. With experience and many products from different companies tried (and endless discussions with my friend Pani) i have found what blends work better for me. Luxurious Bastard, Anointed AK and Black Rebel BC are my top 3 but there are a few others too that have great products. I do enjoy very much the Emu oil and I find that Ostrich oil is even a little better, you should give it a try. Of course not every Emu blend is the same, it depends on the other carriers as well. Shaf from Grzzly there in the UK has a really good Emu blend. Have a nice evening 😎✌️

Interesting video mate, great as usual 👍 I haven’t got any grey hairs yet but I do have some light / ginger specks in it. I used to get along with coconut oil too, early on in my beard journey. It used to absorb in quickly and leave a soft feel all day, nowadays I find that it doesn’t absorb well and leaves my beard quite greasy. I’m sure there is some science behind it but I have no idea what 😂 I find a medium oil or emu blend works best for me now!
