Two new world records set at Nation's Capital sport stacking tournament
Politicians frustrated with the slow pace of progress in Washington, D.C. should have attended the first-ever Nation's Capital Open Sport Stacking Tournament where record-fast speed was the order of the day on November 8th. William Orrell set a new world mark for the Cycle with a time of 5.100 seconds beating his previous record of 5.280 achieved at the 2014 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa. He then joined fellow Team USA members Chandler Miller, William Polly and Zhewei Wu to break the 13-second mark for the Timed 3-6-3 Relay. The "Fantastic Four" were true to their name as they first hit a time of 12.959 seconds and bettered it with a new world record of 12.558 seconds. This time beats their previous world record of 13.039 seconds set at the 2014 US Nationals in Kansas City, Missouri.
