its funny that zomboss just gets lazy and goes "you know what im not fighting this mofo again" and just sends gargantuans to fight for him instead in the boss fight stages

Fun fact: did you know that the imp is proficient in zombie judo, zombie karate, and zombie bare knuckle brawling? He also plays the melodica.

I think there is one major difference between the Torch Kongfu zombie and the Torch Monk zombie. One is a sad dude with a sack, a headband and a lame torch, the other is a zombie monk spinning a torch at the blinding speed, while running(kinda) straight at your house.

Pvz2 has arguably the MOST intriguing special region locked content out of any game, period. Great video!

I hope you do these with all Chinese exclusive zombies, it’s interesting to see these kind of things. I’d definitely watch all of them, especially in this editing style

I'm going to be honest, Gunpowder Devil's death animation is ridiculously underwhelming. Not because he doesn't do an animation based on the one that happens when a zombie is killed with fire or an explosion, not because his panicking upon realising he dropped all his bombs looks weird, not because he's not expressive enough, not because the animation isn't smooth, but because his head doesn't fall from the sky.

I like how unique detail in this game unlike normal one.especially qong zombie since he cant use his qong bc he lost a hand unlike the king from normal version once his hand is broken he still can use it.pretty cool feature if you ask me

I like how the Boss here is actually challenging unlike the original one.

The Chinese version is somewhat better than the other versions. The Chinese version has some unique plants that aren’t seen in any other version, they have the Brontosaurus in Jurassic Marsh, the Dino Stampede thing, etc. Edit: Alright guys I get it Chinese version sucks

One thing you forgot to mention. If you use a plant food on an imp pear on both bosses, it take out one bar of health on it.

I remember time when these two zombies was actual bosses in this world. And they both are pretty solid fights, with Blade Hero is really challenging.

The flag that the flag barrer zombie uses is actually the war flag used by various chinese dynasties over the centuries! Also the swordsman zombie is based on the boxer and holy taiping rebellion soldiers! The Han Bronze Gargantuar is holding a club reminisent to the japanese tetsubo, but its kinda small for it size so maybe another club. The Blade Wielding Hero is I think based on a general in the period of the Three Kingdoms and lastly, the Gunpowder devil throws pirate impa because most gunpowder weapons used by chinese dynasties were used more during naval combat ( to disrupt or destroy enemy vessels )

I played through this before the difficulty got nerfed It was hell I tell ya, the boss fights were absolutely ruthless

Fun fact: this world is almost a decade old, with its release year being 2014.

Before the 1.8 update, there were 30 levels with the Gunpowder devil boss fight being on day 16. Admiral Helmet weapon stands would spawn and Torch Monk Zombies could sometimes deflect projectiles.

Kongfu zombie- incredibly stupid. Drinking zombie- inappropriate. Hammer zombie- a very weak jester. Torch kongfu zombie- Chinese explorer. Exploding zombie- if you didn’t notice, he actually makes the same noise when exploding as jack-in-the-box zombie did. Gong zombie-the thing of my nightmares

Does nobody else find the fact that Drinking Monk outdamages the Swordsman to be a glaring issue? Also Knight Bronze is probably my favorite special enemy shown off in this video, although the Gargs in general could probably do with a bit less health, potentially 5.4k to match Jurassic Marsh Garg and hit the breakpoint of cleanly dying to 3 Cherry Bombs.

A bit late to the party but these Chinese-exclusive songs are banging. The ultiamre battle themes especially, they feel so unique using more than "Replace the main instrument with the instrument of the world" but actually truly remixed. So good.

The pirate imp launching thingy makes sense because they usually get fired by imp cannons

You forgot one important thing about the Fire Monk Zombie (the one who spins their torch) is that the fire spin can easily destroy a zombie if the Monk Zombie above is hypnotized (even Gargantuars), also the 2 fire zombies here can lit up the gunpowder barrels' fuses in certain levels

How has there never been a bomb zombie in the main game? It makes so much sense like the zombie version of cherry bomb. A sword zombie would be cool too, but the fire zombie does it better.

I love how the gargantuar are potrayed as something rather than a dumb beast controlled by an imp.

I never noticed it before since i never even saw footage of the chinese version zombies, but MAN do they lack polish in their animations for anything unique and not reused from non exclusives

A pretty cool world! Seems like the world was used to its fullest potential, unlike some other, more rushed worlds. There are some odd concepts for the zombies, though.

The main thing I'm wondering about is why they had alll this extra content, and all these assets drawn,animated and coded, yet they only released this in China
