In Alburquerque NM, I had one of the scariest situations in my life. Here is my story, and I sincerely hope that others can learn from my experience. Help us spread awareness, because these situations are VERY real and it can happen to ANYONE. PLEASE, stay safe as you travel.
But also, we will not let fear paralyze us into not living our lives. Despite the trauma from this, travel and exploring will continue to be a vital part in my life.
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
