I have that same guitar and several Mexican and Japanese Fender Strats. Saying that the Squier CV60 is the one I use the most. I love the comfort of the thin neck and the sound of the pickups. Better than many models twice and triple expensive. If I put Fender we would think it is better and that is the mistake.
Hi Hans, I have many strats and many Fender pickups, but this week I was put a pure vintage in the Fernandes Revival strat and it is the best SRV tone I have ever.
I have one of these excellent guitars. Love the sound w 11s. Smooth bends. Absolute joy to play. Switched the pups to blues specials as I thought the originals were slightly too tinny and raspy…the only weak spot in these guitars imo. Could possibly sound better stock w pure nickel strings.
Love it man!!!!! I've same one but I have player series guard loaded same tortoise ...sounds amazing. Sadly I only use digital gt1. Wish I had a good clean amp to get better review of tones. Hahah. This is rad.
Is that a sube treamer? 😁 I just picked up a 2017 model exactly like yours, still had plastic on it and factory strings! It's a great strat no doubt. I also have a 2019 50s in fiesta red with maple neck and prefer the alnico 3 pups in it, compared to the 60s. I am looking to put a real bone nut in the 60s model, bone for tone baby!

@@hanskorn Cool! I just bought one, can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ll swap out the white pickguard for tortoise shell for same look. Awesome playing bro, not only spot on with your tone but you play Texas Flood without any backing track and still make it sound very musical and not just a bunch of riffs which isn’t easy. Nice job!
Yes! That’s actually been on my radar for the past year. How is it? Does it feel and sound similar to a strat? But they sound great based on the many demos on RU-vid. I want to try it out in person first, but no models available locally.
@@hanskorn yes very strat like. The neck Profile is 14 inch but it is a real neck with meat 👌 not like an ibanez rg. Very comfortably to play. SSS or HSS configuration.
Nice! Good to hear that it’s still straty despite having some modern specs. Will definitely check those out before I consider breaking the bank on a Suhr.
