Curious to see if having a full Support team effect his special aciton heal? How close do you have to be to heal your teammates. Can you, as an enemy, get in Overhauls face when he wants to heal and force him to use his damage version of his SP lol. Season 6 Tomorrow!
@@brawler-mahmoud7153Oh I know. I was referring to people who were in denial that he wasn't going to be support character. There hasn't been a villain support character since Compress who was a launch character. Not to mention both Momo and Compress heal with their special actions. The writing was on the wall.
I also think there's a guy from the MLA that can make things into puppets. Skeptic, I think? He could also be a solid support. AFO can do anything so don't be surprised if he gets a quirk set for every role.
His gamma keeping them trapped for such a short time may be to try and stop any team insta-kill combos which have always been an issue with certain characters in the game. I think that's a good thing tbh. Still works for damage and to get people off of you for a second but does mean the enemy also can't just be blasted to death upon being trapped.
Funnily enough it seems like Mirio is gonna be one of the best characters to deal with Overhaul. Funny how that works out. I wasn't hype for this character at all, but holy smokes he looks fun.
I wonder if the special action 2 charges act like a normal move, where you need both charges to use the heal, or if you could counter and heal (using 1, and taking the last one) and still get the heal? But he definitely looks like a fun character, and kinda fit the support role! Can't wait to see you play 'em (I say you play 'em bc I know I def ain't getting this guy, gambling is MID) Edit: Also I like how his special action's repair takes him back to the HP you spawn with (Max HP and 125 shield) seems very fitting cuz he repaired himself to his default state (how he started)
I just realized the amount of detail the devs put into his special action. If you remember from the show how much of a germaphobe was. He deleted compresses arm because compress put his filthy had on him. In a way, overhaul’s parry special action is that exact personality trait into an action. It’s used to cancel out any sort of grab or attack stun lock you’re in. Just like what happened in the iconic scene of him and Mr. Compress. There’s a few other details I noticed the devs did on other characters as well. Always such detailed features that you won’t notice if you know the show.
The CC break will only cost 1 cause why would there be 2 usable actions but both cost 2...they would keep it at one with a longer cool down so since there's 2 there's gotta b something that cost only 1
He's going to be a major threat in small spaces and late game/final circle. I wish luck to all lolll since i play mirio i hope I'll be okay loll a team of him and strike shiggy will be scary as a last team. They must go immediately KOS lol
He looks strong especially when it comes to supporting his team, specifically with the idea of 3rd partying and attacking from a distance. Easiest way to compare his is better ibara since he seems to have a similar playstyle but focused on aoe as opposed to her single target. Cherry on top is his SA having like 4 different functions but concerned on how long its cooldown is.
I'm not mad that he's a support, but personally I think he fits a technical role a little more, kinda gives me All For One vibes (and would also be the type of person to only heal you if it'll help secure his bag) Either way, I'm "excited" for all the biblically accurate Overhaul hackers that are about to ruin my already bad rp 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Personally, I was one of the people hoping for Hawks or assault overhaul but I think support works for him bc none of the other supports heal either. Yeah compress can pokeball and the other two can insta rez but, none of the supports can heal like overhaul so technically he is the most ‘support-like’, I guess?
His whole kit is built around him running into buildings and healing. This man is DOOMED IN THE OPEN, especially with no escape. Ranged characters are going to bully him so much
Thats why i said mostly cuz of those but even so most new charaxters dont have those basic special actions so for example mirio is speed cuz he can go through walls or teleport and i fr dont know why twice isnt technical lmao

Some instant high dmg like kendo clap should also be pretty good with his gamma. Since he has no mobility kendo can also throw him up buildings and stuff. Could be a pretty nasty combo in higher ranks
Not really, we already have lots of leaked characters, at best she would come out in like 2 years or something like that and this games lifespan won't be that long lol
I don't think it makes sense for him to be a support just because of his special action because: HE'LL ALWAYS HAVE THAT SAME SPECIAL ACTION. It's like if they made both Dekus support because his special action is support.
they didnt have a plan on making quirk skill set until they realize they couldnt release 2 characters a season. so basically they rushed it. quirk skill set is a mess. special action should be different in every quirk skill set
They also could implement The special action skill set Like deku special going to be his with the green sparks boosting damage/ defense/speed or what not
Supports aren't really supports on this game aren't they? On other games I would have felt that this would have been kinda weird but in a game where Mr.Compress (a villain) and Cementos (that has some of the highest damage combos in the game) are supports its justified tbh...
@@bbxavier2137supports in this game mostly have some form of map or space denial or create things to help her team. Cementoss creates structures to protect his team or help them get places, cementoss can shield his team, move them around and heal them. Momo creates shields and items for them as well as artillery support. Ibara is pretty much the only support that doesn't follow this rule but like overhaul she has lot of hard knocks or stuns in her kit to provide protection for her teamates when they run towards her. Kinda have to get creative when the show has very few characters that actually heal people which leads to interesting kit designs.

umm wtf?? his special action might be even broken then we think, if you notice the health and GP recovery is the same as a ress that means it might be on the same cooldown as the other ress special action and it might even work on a down party member
the only thing stopping him from being in the exact same position as default shigi against endeavor players, is the fact his alpha isnt stuck to the ground. nobody even acknowledges the vine haired girl, i could go on ab the reality that everyone blinds themselves to each time they drop into another lobby, pointless. 🤷♂️

Huhh.... idk about this one bro, mobility is very important in this game. Old map you'll be suffering, new map will be more viable due to buildings, we shall see though.
Mobility is important but people can still cook with non-mobile characters, just means they require a bit more skill and spacial awareness to use efficiently which is good since it means he'll likely have some decent balance unlike Strike Dabi or Mirio.
@@DemonOfCoffee idk how he's attacking a cementos unless his beta stacks on top of cementos pillar. He can kill a low hp target in the air with the range of his alpha, but chase potential of someone jumping or flying on top of a building to heal and avoid him he's not doing anything about that. If the zone is in a small area not inside of a building he's not doing anything either with multiple mobility charachters that'll target him. But we shall if I'm wrong tomorrow.
@@blitzenspeedster8150 True unless the destruction part of his special action is similar to Shiggys in that it can destroy some things like Cementoss pillrs in one hit which is plausible. But even if he struggles against him it doesn't mean Overhaul will be bad, just means Cementoss specifically is a good counter. Luckily you don't get too many people playing as him in a lobby. As for Rapids, they're annoying to deal with regardless of who you play as tbh. I'm not sure exactly how ranged the gamma is but it seems to be most effective at close range which would be a good counter for Iidas and Twice players that love to rely on gamma spamming people. Possibly Lemillion too if it can catch him out of using non-charged alphas or used directly after he jumps out of the ground near you. But yeah as you say we'll have to see tomorrow. I'm just glad that he doesn't look stupidly broken.
@@DemonOfCoffee his damage will probably be high at a costs for mobility, I feel like gamma into beta especially maxed will have 1 shot potential seeing how this game works, hopefully, I'm wrong.
