I8 years! I am very honored to have been the painter of over 35 builds. I made a lot of friends during that time period, plenty of very talented people that were willing to work the hours it took to get these cars finished in the one week time frame. Of all of the builds Tony Todd became one of my closest friends and to this day we are regularly in touch with each other and hang out together. Bud Brutsman created this show and many more including my all time favorite, Rides. I thank him for letting me be a part of this historical automotive insanity and also Chip Foose for his talent, dedication and most of all our friendship. And look up Tony Todd and his body of work acting, it’s amazing.
hats off sir. When so many TV shows are rigged, it is such a welcome relief to see that this one is so true and holds value two decades later. One of my most favorite car shows of all time.
Hey Chip, You should run a program to give these Overhaulin cars a Detail and love once again by Chip foose team. It would be great to see these cars getting love once again from Chip foose. Thanks
Love this idea. The show was such a influence for so many people. Seeing the cars again now is like us getting to see a old friend you haven’t thought about or talked to in years but at one time in your life they were everything to you. Thanks for sharing your story I hope you can track down more of them. I know that I will definitely watch them
Hola Chip, somos de Argentina, miramos todos los capítulos de Overgoulin. Hoy descubrimos este genial canal, pero te pedimos un gran favor. Introduzcan traducción en español por favor. Te felicitamos
We had a Pontiac LeMans, Tempest, same color that dad bought in 62 ? new. It came to Turkey with us and went everywhere between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic a few times. We stuck out like a sore thumb. It was sold in Paris in 68. Mostly the young folks. We watched the Grand Prix from a hill in the Pontiac🫠
Wonderful Chip . I bet the friendships you make are priceless . I first used Glasurit 54 line in around 1984 ......40 years ago!!!!! I restored a 911 T Sportomatic in Siver ......my goodness ! What a product ! It turns out my suppliers had no idea of how you should use this product so l spent many hours sharing my knowledge with many of their clients !!! My supplier changed his supplier to PPG .....paint problems galore 🤣🤣to be fair the solid 2k was very good , as was the laquer . Their mica's were very impressive but their basecoats were awful. A Jaguar MK lX l restored 30 + years ago in PPG solid won overall best in an exclusive Jaguar show 2years past. And here's an anomaly Chip , I restored my Series 2 XJ6 for my daughters wedding in 2008 and masked up ready to paint ,someone said my local supplier still sold cellulose .....well ! What could l do ! I sold it in 2009 . 16 years later it still wins best paint in show ......Love and respect to all Chip 💕
This is awesome Chip I’m so glad you got this rollin as you said from the Savoy Auto Museum so cool 😎 thanks for being you and the people that surround you !😎👍🏻🦅🇺🇸😇🙏
I'm just amazed that it was actually a real thing and the owner still has the car in great shape, so good to see it didn't end up in a warehouse never to be seen again after the show. Thanks for all the hard work, I know what it takes to get a car completed, never mind in that time frame the show gave.
Yall did amazing work on that show!! Loved watching it!! Wish I had one of em for sure. 65 Mustang is the dream!! Keep it going Chip!! You are a master in your craft. A master of the masters for sure!! My favorite show was when you got overhauled. That is one sweet truck!!
Chip, you are really the man that makes it happen and it's so impressing to see that the car and it's story are bringing a big smile to Tony's face and how proud he still is after 18 years ! Concerning "where are they now ?" I have one question probably like many Foose Design fans in the world: what happened to Gary Cropp's '62 Corvette C1 build ? The Art Morrison chassis seems to be ready since months but what's about the body ? The last RU-vid video about Gary's Corvette is from march 2022. Please give us an update ... your fans and certainly Gary too are looking forward to it!
used to watch this in new zealand like clockwork, and i did love the whole series but the one that stod out for me was the "coyote and roadrunner" show, would love to see if thats still around aka the 69 plymouth roadrunner convertible :)
I've been curious about all of the cars. You don't see them on Facebook you don't see them at car shows you don't see them anywhere. If they were actually built for people where are they. Were these people even car people?
Chip is a builder that if he builds you a car.. you will hold onto it. The quality is there. So many other TV builders only look good from 20foot away. Chip is the only guy that I would let build a vehicle for me.
Ooooh Chip ... I hope you find the Mercury Comet that AJ (and you) did in FlipFlop. Where AJ was the designer. ... find AJ as well ... we all need an AJ fix.
Wow this is so AWESOME 👌 👏 👍 HE STILL HAS HIS DREAM CAR......BIG FAN OF OVERHAULING AND CHIP FOOSE...HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE CASTLE 🏰 SHOW IN RIVERSIDE.
Loved the show, and miss it! Always wished my Daughter and Her mother could have gotten Chip and crew to have done my 71 Lincoln Continental. Yea I know it's not that special but I loved it, as it was a hand me down gift from my aunt for graduation. My aunt is gone now, and sadly I have no way to restore/ fix up her up. It makes me cry that I am going to have to give her up, because can't afford to keep paying to store her. Well, it was nice to see that gem of Tony's! Dude, you are so lucky to have been one of the chosen few. Loved seeing this video and your car.
