Overland Jeep Liberty KJ exploring / offroading in Texas -- Full HD

We put together a compilation of our overland built Jeep Liberty doing some offroading while we were exploring near Camp Wood, Texas. We used our DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone, and our Canon Rebel T7i camera for all of the shots.

Great job filming and editing not to mention super job on outfitting your Jeep Liberty so nicely. You're giving me ideas on what I might do to mine if I can get it fixed up and back on the road safely. Thanks for sharing.

@@skyteamoverland5399 I swapped the rear axle assembly following a couple accidents. I’m trying to document it in videos on my channel but so far only introduce it... hope to get a few more videos together but also found I need to replace rear lower control arms. Time is my biggest enemy right now 🤣. Hopefully make more progress soon.

Thanks for the suggestion! We did end up doing a walk-through video of the whole jeep...check it out when you have time! I think its a great idea to do a separate suspension one as well

Badassssss god I would love to get my liberty looking like this. I wanna get a lift but it seems like it isn’t as simple as buying a day star 2.5 inch kit, I’ve heard you also need to purchase other suspension upgrades for this lift. Maybe one day, could someone ball park me an estimate of the cost of a 2.5 inch lift and part requirements so I can start saving. A lot of people down the liberty but I love this has been my favorite vehicle that I’ve ever owned. I have a inflatable mattress i purchased and I’ve traveled and slept in this thing and i love this little Jeep

It really depends on what you plan to do with it. If you're going to be doing occasional and mild offroading, then spacers will be fine. That would be between $500-$900 without labor and get you 0-2.5". If you're looking to go taller, you'll be looking at spending up to $2,000 depending on what you do

Awesome video! I have a 03 liberty renegade. I’m looking into getting a lift. What would be your opinion on which lift I should start with?

Awesome! That really depends on what type of off-roading / driving you intend to do. What are your plans with it?

SkyTeam Overland yeah that’s true. I want to do mild off-roading. Would love to go through terrain like you did in the video but there isn’t much terrain like that in Central Florida. I’d love to go atleast 4 inch. I heard I would have to get cut cv axles to do anything over 3 in if lift. Not sure what else I would need.

@@grant1109 well, you absolutely do NOT need cut cv's unless you are going over 4". I'd recommend the ARB Old Man Emu setup. Rocky Road Outfitfers sells what is called a frankenlift, and thatll get you really. Loss to where you want to be, as well as nearly all the places you may want to go. All you'll need then is a good set of tires😎

I’m in the process of doing my own kJ build. 2.5 inch lift on jk rubicon take offs. Have a long list to go put this is a really clean build nice job. Would love to see more videos. Iv built a lot of Jeeps and people really underestimate these kjs. They get a bad wrap.

@@skyteamoverland5399 suspension and bumpers mostly. I'm running an '04 with 2.5 ome lift but it's hard to get anything for the liberty i europe.. :/

@@TI-ci1ov Yea it seems some items are pretty hard to get over there. The 2.5" ARB Old Man E.u that you have is great! I ran it for about 5 years with some top plates, clevis lift, and extra rear upper isolators to put me around 4". Do you have any of that?

Nice set up. Please do a walk around so we can get a better look. Ive got a 03 Liberty with 2.5 lift. Trimed up the front factory bumper to make it look a little better but would like to build front and rear bumbers. Im here in Bedford Va. where Blue Ridge Overland Gear is located. They inspired me to move towards overlanding. Check out their gear and videos. I use there gear for my electrical business its top quality stuff. Thanks.
