We finally start the High Clearance Offroad Bumper for our 2003 Overlanding Suburban. I go from the point new material being added to the completed bumper. Showing the things I learned doing this as what to expect when doing this project for anyone who's interested in doing something like this. this one of the largest projects I've ever done.

Looks like a great starting project for me building for myself

Honestly it is a relatively simple project, there are many moving parts, and a lot of parts just lock into place. The only issue I had was was just the amount of material being handled.

Very nice work. I am looking at a 2500 suburban for my rig. I really like the rear bumper. Something i will also do.

Thank you and the 2500 should be similar frame and body setup as the 1500, so everything should be applicable. And this why I made this video, to help the next guy or gal who wants to build one.

Thanks man, and I got to check out your rig when I get a chance. And man it's so hard to find anything for these rigs, almost everything is a diy build.

The forward most bolt for the air compressor bracket is removed by inserting a socket and extension from the inner side of the rail to the nut that is inside the frame. There should be an access hole there.

When I was initially doing the build, I did say I couldn't get access to it but after I did find what you were telling me out. The issue I found was the nut had been rounded off. It looks like the previous owner had tried to remove the compressor as well and wasn't successful. I think I'm just going to grind the head off and pop it off the next time I remove this bumper.
