Never having explored Kansas, we set out to explore as much of rural Kansas as we could in the 5 days we had. We call this type of trip overlanding, but some might call it 4WD Touring, Roadtripping, or just driving, lol! Whatever you call it, the focus for us is on being self-reliant, exploring and learning as much as we can about the areas, and just enjoying the journey.

So glad the weather stayed nice for you. It's interesting how many roads in Kansas are rock or dirt. Loved virtually traveling along to see what you guys get to experience!

Not sure how old the carvings on the rocks are or if they are still happening, but they are pretty interesting to look at!

We totally forgot! Coming to Kansas was a last minute change of plans. We had planned a trip to Ohio for that week but then it worked out to get the Campinawe in, so we shifted gears. We loved Kansas! We will definitely be back!

Oh my.... Topeka has the "worst, worst" water in the world!

Well that figures. lol! We got it out of one of those water and ice machines, so you would hope there is a filter of some sort, but who knows. It seemed ok. Usually we bring water from home or bottled water specifically for drinking and use water we get along the way for cooking and cleaning.

Nothing special about Manhattan, KS, home to Kansas State is about all. Referred to as the little Apple compared to New York's Manhattan. Nice town though. Cool video.

Thanks for the comment! It is a beautiful town - one of the nicest, most well-developed city parks we have ever seen!
