Our second day exploring Kansas took us to the center of the contiguous US both geographically and geodetically! We also visited the World's largest ball of twin in Cawker City - a great little town - and added some twine. We visited several reservoirs along our route and discovered epic views, and took in some art in the town of Lucas. We ended the day at Castle Rock - a truly unexpected landscape and visited the Battle of Punished Woman Memorial before heading to Lake Scott State Park for the night.

What interesting places you guys get to see! The landscape intrigues me as I'm so used to lots of trees and the rolling hills of Central Kentucky.

It was a lot of driving, but so many cool landscapes. We were really surprised by how different it is from Indiana too, and how much diversity of landscapes there are in the state.

@@HEKNBAK Outside of our town, Douglas WY, there is a Jackalope among several. There is a company in Casper, I think, with a large cnc cutting machine cuts them out of plate steel- that way they don't blow away. Douglas claims to be the home of the Jackalope, and the cowboy on a horse one is for the Pony Express route here.

Love that! We spent a couple days in Wyoming a few years ago, but missed that, lol!
