Love your channel Cody. We definitely need to see more of that bad ass K5 Blazer. I like how you guys have nice but not stupid crazy expensive rigs for your adventures. I’m just an old man that spent way too many years working and am trying to make the overlanding learning curve less steep. Could you do a video on basic load outs you use for your trips? Sort of a “you need this gear and you definitely don’t need this” kind of video?

I have a 2019 Rav4 with an ironman 2" lift with falken wildpeak at3 all terrain tires. Even with a full load it does really well. Thanks for sharing your video.

Sweet video as always man! Currently working as a forester and recently took my 3rd gen rav off road through old logging roads. It was dicey and now my baby is boasting several new scratches.😅

Nice area "Soft Roading" new term to me! - that's a great way to describe how I roll most of the time! It was interestring to see how the Rav4 rolls with the Big Dogs - (irregarless of their color-:)

Hey man, I live in Albuquerque! ;) lol, and you're spot on. Not without it's problems, but I love my job and the beauty this state has to offer within just a few hours of driving. It's fun to see your appreciation for NM, and your videos that showcase it's scenery. Nice RAV, and look forward to seeing the Rock Warrior again once it heals up. I had a Rav4 about 8-9 years ago. I understand the logic of why you got it, but it won't stay nice for long out on those trails. Leave the new Toyota-berry for your new job, and wheel with your older one or the Tundra... LOL Thanks for having us along and keep up the great vids!

Am originally from New Mexico living in costa rica now after I saw your video on the first gen rav I been thinking about getting one , however I'm not sure if I can make it into a overland capable rig people recommend me the first gen 4runner instead because there's acceories

As a soft roader I appreciate the Rav content. Not everyone can afford a second trail vehicle. Nice to see everything the Rav can do. Hope the Tundra gets its needed TLC.

I took my Hybrid 2019 Rav4 out after getting it and I was fairly impressed, for what it is. Curious how it peforms vs the gas model with the rear electric motors. Nice part about that is instant torque at the rear. Trail mode basically tells rear motors to put more work in. there's no snow or rock/mud mode, just trail and the normal ones like sport/eco. Did you manage to lay flat sleeping in the back? I had to put a lot of blankets/air matress etc and remove the bench seat to accomplish that recently.

I love my Rav 4 adventure package. I’ve taken it SO many awesome spots. Learning to turn OFF the traction control so I have control while slipping sliding and rock crawling is my only advice. Love your footage.

Congrats on the brokerage (my wife is a sahm and realtor) and new Rav! Very capable softroader. I want to say the off road modes would work similarly to Atrak in your tundra using the abs to help send power to the wheels with traction. Enjoy the new ride and hope the brokerage is successful! Dats an easy drive there, but I rather take my 97/2006 Tacoma!!! But as long as you are outside having fun dats all it counts. Those new Tacomas are way too expensive compared to what my previous ones cost back den, anyway have fun be safe.

Sweet new Rav. I have a 2019 le awd so I have the brake based terrain control. Put accessory TRD springs on it which gives the le about 1.5 inches in the back and 1.25 in the front. Going to put a Rival under engine skid pate on and eventually an Ironman 4x4 lift. I still need to make it somewhere to test its limits but so far its been great. No low range sucks but out my way I never really need it.

Do you post your trail maps anywhere? I am a recent subscriber to OnX Offroad because of your excellent narration and the videos you have produced. It would be awesome to have access to your trail maps, even at a price!

Great video loved it. I know parts of Mexico are very beautiful with lots of waterfalls. Glad you like the Toyota Rav 4 was very interested to know how that would perform.

It does get hot out here. Caballo or Elephant Butte and of course the fish hatchery area. I went up to Ruidoso to do the Forest 448. Am glad to see this to see the roads you are traveling give me a heads up what they are. I am looking forward to more Forest Road adventures. So far so good.

This looks like a really fun trip. I'd love to plan on making it out there in the next year. Do you have a .gpx of your route?
