Objectively, Q and Sapphira were more deserving. I stan Mirage too but lip syncing to an original bitch track isn't exactly ground breaking. Michelle was also somewhat right that the performance lacked a bit of finesse maybe compared to the person she brought up: Anetra, who won her talent show. The comparison didn't work in her favour.

I read somewhere once that talent show performances are filmed twice; so I'm thinking perhaps Mirage performed it differently both times (i.e. there's no fixed choreo to her talent show performance). I think that's why Michelle's critiques were as such.

I think the only reason Michelle said what she said is what the audience doesn't see. All talent show numbers are performed twice so the 1st and 2nd time of Mirage's performance must've been very different, which is why Michelle said if it was performed a 3rd time, it would be three different performances.
