One detail that was omitted from the meeting of the Guardians was their reaction when they heard that Ainz sent Sebas to check the surroundings. Sebas was one of the strongest they had, and since Ainz sent him for a mere recon mission, they very quickly understood that their situation was abnormal and serious. I liked these small touches we got in the LNs.
@@kaizakentowajunsuidesu2915 The first volume. It was when Ainz had the Floor Guardians gather, and he asked them if anything strange happened on their respective floors. If you want to do a search, look for "surprise flashed" or something.
I didn't know that the infamous happy farm is outside of Nazarik. I wonder what security measures Demiurge installed not just for escaping sheep, but anyone finding it in the first place. He certainly couldn't waste any precious resources in the current situation...
At one time I was pondering just how the happy farm would operate and I had a thought. If they are using healing magic so that they can repeat a skinning over and over and over, wouldn't it make sense for them to keep their "livestock" in a state that makes it easier to do this? Using something like drugs or magic to either keep pain to a min/completely block it, or actually make it pleasurable to those it is happening to. Thus making it a literal happy farm with the latter. I get that some residents of Nazarik would themselves take pleasure in the pain of others, but ones such as Demiurge also seem to have a strong pragmatic streak in them as well. At what point would personal interest be trumped by pragmatism? Especially considering the desire to serve Ainz to their best of their ability.
@BeardyRabbit Just to remind you, it was Demiurge who came up with a reason for sparing the Lizardmen. This is proof that his sadistic side is tempered by a pragmatism created by his desire to best serve Ainz. He is not _just_ a demon/devil. He represents the higher ups in office management. You cannot have a person in such a position who is just a sadistic POS, they still need to do their job else they be fired as well. And Demiurge does not want to be fired. As he says himself, those who do not serve to their best ability do not deserve to even be allowed to survive.
@BeardyRabbit Exactly, he made a _pragmatic_ decision that precluded anything of a sadistic nature. If it had been a decision based on his love of cruelty, it would have been a far different suggestion, plain and simple.
@BeardyRabbit Want another example? I have two for you. How about you look at the subjugation of both E-Rantel and the Baharuth Empire. edit: "extreme evil" as the alignment says, is not the same as "completely" or "totally", combine this with him being a representation of office management people, and you get a being that can and does temper their evil nature with that of the pragmatism of a businessman.
You should do a lore of Overlord SO FAR. And then a finalized version when the story ends. You can start from the 6 Great Gods, Greed Kings , Thirteen Heroes , Minotaur Sage etc. Don't forget the one that started it all, the Dragon Emperor. There's also other video potentials like True and False Dragon Lords.
@@Ilovefoodd111 soon. Hopefully we do get new volume soon. If the DL's team up to fight SK, then maybe will get some info from them. And have Sebas transform coz i want to see his dragon form.
I can't express how much i love this show. Everything in this show just clicks for me. It's one of the few series i rated 10 in myanimelist and the only anime I've rewatched twice
@@sirwahthemonke ive been wanting to read the LN but some of the volumes arent available in my country :( ts why im a bit hesitant in buying the first few volumes i can get my hands on though if there is a site in the web that lets me read the LN i would like to hear about it
Idk about those two, after all Sebas is a Dragonoid(If I remember correctly, it could be something similar) not a Dragon, so I'd think it'd look more like Vergil's Sin Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry 5.
If you skipped the first 8, I suggest you start from the first. Aside from some small details, there are actually whole characters and events that were omitted form the anime. The anime still did a solid job at adapting the main gist of the story though.
I love peronchino en love the way you said his catch phrase porn games are my life dude you should become a voice actor the way you said it was en serious love you're overlord love you're vids btw
Great video! Thanks! Another thing not mentioned in the anime was the surprise from the Guardians when Ainz told them that he had dispatched Sebas to inspect the area around the tomb. Considering that Sebas is the best hand-to-hand fighter in Nazarick, the Guardians realized how serious of a threat the sudden transportation of the tomb was for Ainz.
There is no series that comes close to Overlord for me, I absolutely love it and even the most insignificant new detail I learn exhilarates me. Thank you for this wonderful video!
The Happy Farm, Or also known as the Lighter Anime Version of SCP-2718. Or the Slave Pits where the Dark Eldar/Drukhari Torment other Species and the Homonculi Laboratories in commorragh. Yeah, Demiurge and Urien Rakarth would be Best friends.
I wonder how his old Guildmates would react if they were Isekaid aswell, but either appeared extremely far away, or had a delayed appearance so they would have 'popped up' later down the timeline. and eventually find out about all the "stuff" their "NPCs" had done 'and Ainz allowed them to do' Just a what if~
Just curious, How strong is Sebas compared to Shalltear? I know she wins in a fight but by how much? Like a close call? A really good battle but with a clear winner? Or she destroys him? Ofc I'm talking about transformed Sebas
He is stronger in martial combat, but Shalltear is much more versatile, will always outlast him because she has unlimited stamina as an undead, as well as having multiple ways of replenishing any HP she loses. 1v1 melee is probably one of the worst ways to fight her.
Well, we know the emotional suppression can't just be from being undead, otherwise Shaltear would act VERY differently. It could be something specific to the overlord race, or the 10 unknown racial levels he has.
i just read the light novel and ur just explaining the light novel without actually needing to read it, and thats amazing scince not all people/fans want to read the light novel (sadly)
I want to mention that you forgot to put some of these Overlord cut content videos in the playlist meant for them. Thanks for making these vids though. Edit: just realized the problem is actually that you stopped after episode 4 of season 1. Soo maybe the playlist is intact but not all episodes were done. How come?
To be honest, I thought it was a farm for a magical breed of sheep. I’ve thought that for years. Turns out I wasn’t wrong, but I didn’t stop to consider that they where goat-demi humans called bafolk… this shit gets dark
I love your voice my dude, your tone is good and you enunciate well, you also speak with some umph to project your emotions well with what your saying and is one of the main reasons I stay and listen, thank you for caring enough to speak well with the information your giving, it shows you probably watch the show and read the manga/light novels and actually care about the story, so thank you
*my bf and i love your videos . we stream them all the time about the anime we love as this one . thanks for the work that now we understand a lot about things we care about.*
Overlord Is one of the best anime in world if only animation adapt all content from the light novel and relese 26 or more episode per seson it will be best anime in the world at least for me
She wasn't defeated, just incapacitated. And it was the Black Scripture from Slane Theocracy, the some sect that Clementine once belonged to. They lost three people in that encounter, so its more than fair to say that they came out worse off.
still this One setting's scenarios, Evil Indeed. Feh.- [eyeing Hard at that jakers Sullied-like/etc/Whatever Traitor dreamer and the Other 'Target practices' there that Sadly surrounds (mainly, mostly) that fantasy planet's version of Past Humankind members', and other saner races that struggles alongside]
If its subaru's power verbatim then it means a witch is protecting and it also means I have infinite times to try to escape so some day I would succeed
I theorized that Ainz emotion being suppress is actually his vr suppressing his brain activity and heart rate. Like when his heart rate rises the vr machine lowered it because it thinks his life is in danger. So he is simply stuck in a vr prison and can never leave. Like that dark mirror episodes.
