About him being calm, the green glowing that appears is suppresses his emotions and excitement so basicly whenever he is excited about something he goes like, "okay whatever"
Moreover, it was basically full Law in his original world that unless the game itself was 18+ approved, marketed as such And filtered out minors and the like completely and had safeguards against anyone trying to grope other players or npcs in a non-consensual context? The game-company of the game in question would be in serious trouble. Thus it would be completely impossible for the company that made Yggdrasil, the online game, to include 18+ functionality in a new game update/release, even for some kind of crazy surprise preview of whatever their next game is gonna be or something wild like that. Ergo by doing this Ainz eliminated any chance that he was still in a virtual game as a possibility.
@@diostaku2 oh yea, I know. The books expound on it a bit better too. But so many people just glaze over the fact in episode two from reaction ccs I've watched
It is explained in the novels, but not in the anime, so I think I can tell you this without it being spoilers. The future where MC comes from is mostly a dystopic one; with wars being fought for the few resources that are left, contamination so high that the sky is not visible anymore, etc. In this future, people are overworked so hard by companies that it is pretty common to find people dead from exhaustion in public transports. If I remember correctly, they connect to the game by laying down inside special capsules, but these capsules are expensive to buy and maintain, so many of the people in the guild Ainz Ooal Gown left the game permanently because they had to sold their capsules to raise money to survive.
Are you sure? I thought it was just a normal world and people in the guild just moved on in life. I thought they mentioned he was a bit of a salaryman type. Honestly, the backstory you mention (which I have seen referenced a bit online, but only slightly) just doesn't fit at all. The game has a cash shop, etc. It seems like just placing it in a normal world would be much more fitting.
@@TearDownGenesis An endstage capitalist dystopian future controlled by Misappropriations and pay to win options in games don't fit together? How do you figure?
Just to let everybody know, Ainz ooal Gown and every other npc was transported to another world which they call the new world, not to YGGDRASIL, sad part this is barely addressed
Solo Leveling is the oposite of the isekai like Overlord, Solo Leveling is a real world which all of the sudden got game like features while Overlord is a game which all of the sudden became real
yes, now only one left is Re Zero. He watched Youjo Senki, Konosuba and currently Overlord. You know boys what we want next if he finishes overlord and re zero
@@madszn It's sad because many of his viewer doesn't really like 86, but I saw a lot of RU-vidr reactions reacting about 86 too and it was watched by many people
Neel...Ainz are pretty reasonable mc even if he is undead now....Despite he lose his humanity and emotions,he is one of the best isekai mc out there Finish these series in order to watch a certain anime known as Isekai Quartet: .Rezero .Konosuba .Overlord .Saga Of Tanya The Evil I can't wait to see your reaction on isekai quartet in future one day 😂
@@eizy1010 No disrespect meant from any of the replies, btw, but Ainz tortured mostly innocent guys and cares about nothing but his own life... He almost used the lizard village for experiments, if you dont remember.
Nah bro Nazarick is evil as hell. While it's true that Ains might not know about all the atrocities that happen around him, I'm not even sure if he'd care.
Bro, how about giving reaction to this anime. 1. Akashic Record of bastard instructor 2. No game No life Support this comment so he give reaction to this animes..
I find a lot of parallels between this and Log Horizon: both are about a MMORPG guild that essentially disbanded, one of its members finding themselves in the "video game" world and they get half-dragged into significantly changing it. But there are also so many differences - "game overlays" get used in LH to a great effect, as both Chekhov guns and a source of emotional impact; both protagonists are externally calm but for _very_ different reasons, etc.
As far as game to isekai goes, from the most "game" to the least. Some say Sword Art Online is an isekai, but it isn't in the truest sense, although for players involved it might as well be. Then there is Log Horizon, which is, afaik, full on isekai but all the game function/interface still exist. Recently we have land of Leadale, where the game stuff is more faded, being in the future of the game world, alone. I forgot if any interface still exist in that. The even more recent New Gate is an "combo" of SAO and Leadale, with SAO being the background setting but eventually go the way of Leadale After that is this Overlord, which the MC carries a bunch of stuff and NPC from the game into an actual different world. No interface etc, but all the game stuff and skill he brought still works. Finally we have ones like skeleton knight in another world where the MC is only transported as a lone character, with only their skill and personal items. This branches into those where you have the game interface and those that you don't. There is also a side branch where you are reborn as a game character, most commonly seen in the villainess genre, which is not quite the same thematically as the rest, it's usually not power fantasy but rom com. Some of the category have many alternative, others not so much. The most common is probably the solo transfer power fantasy, with faction transfer like Overlord being, to the best of my knowledge, rare.
I think of this anime as a supplementary material to one of the best ever LN. Don't get me wrong it's awesome on it's own but you can't appreciate thr depth the LN bestows, it seems so superficial without the LN skipped material
They don’t say this in the anime, but in the future the world is taken over by megacorporations, and the climate is so bad that people go outside completely covering themselves with clothes and wearing a mask, because due to toxic production in their world, acid rain is constantly falling, and the sky and stars people see only on the Internet or in textbooks. The game was closed because megacorporations were afraid that due to complete immersion in the game world, people would learn fencing, combat and shooting, which would lead to a riot. Although it seems that the MC has entered the game, he has actually entered another world. Presumably someone from the New World was trying to summon world items. Items were sucked into the New World along with the players who owned them.
The "melting" guy from the beginning was a Slime. In the game, you choose your Race, then your class. And Herohero was the Tank of the Guild. You add some further Job classes, race classes and Talents from your specialisation to your character and play it up to the maximum level of 100. Of course, your character also can die in the game and if that happens, your character loses 5 Level. Sometimes, it's annoying and sometimes a nice method of reskilling
An 18+ action should have caused him to be kicked from the game, this confirmed he wasn't in Yggdrasil any more. They later made a movie out of the first season with some added footage that shows our mc getting in a reclining chair placing a VR type headset on and more importantly inserting a cable into a port centered on his neck over the spine, so no keyboard anymore.
Is nice you started react this anime. One tip, when he touched Albedo was to check if the gms snd administrators was there means that he was in the game. In the game there is a function that is any players do things like what ains did with Albedos chest or even more sexiest things .t.c their would be banned from the game and if i remember right was permanently
Is more sad when u realize that the game is The best place to escape reality: a reality where u have acid rain, have to go out with breathing mask for oxygen due to the contamination, and the best education u can hope to have is elementary/middle school level if u are not rich.
Momonga has a skill that nullifies his emotions when they become too strong. That’s when you hear that sound and when he glows. Regarding solo leveling, your wish will become true
4:30 I've ran a few guilds over the years in MMO's that died out. It really is painful when you put real time and effort into things. For people that just "played" these games the people that played the game while managing groups of people and setting goals for said groups, losing all that effort and time spent can really hit you in the gut. If you just played an MMO but never spent any time leading large groups of people in said games, you might not understand or have the same feeling of loss when a game shut down.
