@@mrex666productions7 Spoiler alert, she's met Demiurge. Ever since his public introduction at GTN before Jircniv, Demiurge usually assumes his half-demon toad form, atleast while making public appearances.

@@justice32legends That's Jinciv, not Neia. I've read the Roble Arc before and I don't remember she has actually met Demiurge. It's just Demiurge saw her as a worthwhile pawn.

@@jrglz5663 Arche received only indifference from his father despite his best efforts. Gazef has always received malicious glances from nobles. Climb received them from all but a few. Neia is very lucky to receive few insults.

- I, on the other hand, can't seem interested in anyone. I think the various characters of the new world, at least in most cases, end up being similar to npc if they survive ainz. Others usually die or worse. With that in mind, I can't really get interested, because I know that each of them will have no real goal other than serving ainz. Neia is ultimately a climb that Maruyama has favored. I think that a large part of the cast is closed in rigid stakes and that they can hardly get out of it. For example Mare or demiurge at the end cannot get out of the circle in which they are closed. Climb is renner's dog. Neia on the other hand seems to be better written but in the end it ends up being a brainless npc. - At first I appreciate them too but in the end I started to see them as all the same. There are very few that I liked and the only one that I continued to like was brain but only for the better development compared to other characters. - Anyway, I'm glad you appreciate them.

Much of that can be applied to any character in overlord, we already know what will happen. In the end its not about them as characters for me, its about what they are to the world. I personally enjoy seeing the perspective of the new worlders a lot.

@@Exquailibur - I'd like it too if they didn't look like mannequins put there to die or to adore ainz. In short, I do not see anything bad in either of the two finals but it would also be nice to see people who live under ainz and thank him but who do not have absolute fidelity in him until after years. - I'll give you an example. Jircniv, as much as I didn't like him as a character who does one stupid thing after another just to keep the plot going despite being shown to be intelligent, I like him because even though he lives under ainz he has a slightly different attitude. - Another example. If the author had let Arche survive, with her working for ainz, I would have appreciated the author making her servile, but also detached from praising ainz and more interested in working to see the sisters happy. Not her becoming another fangirl but her serving with her own goal in mind. This for me would mean "living world". But maybe I'm wrong not being an expert in writing. -Evileye for example I liked her in that sense because she is not dead and she has thought about her own goals. The problem is that the author had to remove it from the plot.

Yeah I think part of the issue is that the later installments aren't as well thought out either, honestly with the huge volume of characters with more detail than most other stories it's a tall order to ask a writer to create so many. I acknowledge the flaws but I choose to accept them since it's more than id even ask for in the first place. Also what do you suppose these people do when confronted with what is to them a god? Even if it's just for plot convenience and kinda lazy it still makes sense.

@@Exquailibur - The pokemon anime in that sense does a good job. In fact, you can see how the various characters present only in one episode bark their lives to think about, without being just characters that serve the protagonist. Game of thrones does a good job too. - If you think about it, it would be enough just to show or explain that the character lives in a certain way. For example, the author did it with Brita, who witnesses something absurd, namely shalltear, but she ends up in the village and works there, continuing her life. - I have never said that they must not love ainz like a god but rather that they are not almost all of the re-propositions of the npc. If you notice, although the author presents many characters, in the end he never keeps them for too long. Only a few receive such treatment and for a short while. For example, Enri and co appear quite little, although they appear in many volumes. Ditto for Brain and climb. - Of course this is just my personal criticism.
