The most disturbing thing about the Elisa Lam case is the water, like imagine being one of the resident drinking that water or brushing their teeth or showering, that would have been horrible to find out that your water had a decaying body in it

Just imagine how ill they would have felt when they found out. I can't even think how I would cope with knowing I had drunk that. 🤮

The reason for both the elevators coming down is cuz you pressed the up and down arrow. Its programmed to send one randomly for the up and one randomly for the down. This is so that it makes the shortest possible journey for the people in the elevator so because you pressed the up and the down arrow it sent both down

a friend and i got a room here off expedia and were to stay on the 4th floor. we were completely unaware of the history and actually joked about how similar the name Hotel Cecil and the architecture looked like Hotel Cortez from AHS…🙄 everything was fine UNTIL we stepped foot in the elevator and went up. we didn’t stay longer than an hour before we were leaving because of the overwhelming feeling is discomfort we felt in there

From the outside, you can't see what an architectural beauty this hotel still is on the inside. Its exterior became forbidding over all these decades, because the hotel, whose new name is pretty stupid, deserved more attention, and not just because of its haunted history! The CECIL should return to its old name, and its exterior should be spruced up! Guys, you are doing a good job, because you are not shaking your cameras like so many other ghost hunters who are waving them around like being on speed, so later no one can check out any apparitions he think having seen in those brief moments. But you are taking really professional shots in the best resolution, but shouldn't take so many risks like climbing up an old fire escape to the roof 60 meters above the ground. Life is very fragile.

I work in a few LA hotels and I would take a front desk or concierge position at the Hotel Cecil in a heartbeat if it reopened as a hotel. The building is gorgeous, the history is interesting, it really SHOUDL be a Los Angeles gem... but, like so many historic properties in DTLA, even new owners leave it largely to languish.

I can't help but think that whoever Corey was talking to, was that guardian shadow person that was mentioned in the last video at the Biltmore. Genuinely I think spirits feel comfortable around Corey and Elton for completely different reasons. Corey wants them to talk and is super respectful, Elton isn’t afraid and pushes them to explain. They always seem to get a lot when both of them wear the headphones

The fact that the spirit box said stuff like "Elisa Lam", "The Underworld", and that the elevator stopped on certain floors that they didn't click on makes me think that her spirit might have been playing the Elevator Game. Plus some floors had lights on and some were off, which were also things that applied to the game *EDIT* I've come back to this comment because after doing some more research on elisa lam, there's apparently a FICTIONAL movie out there somewhere about a woman named Dhalia, who had a daughter named Ceci drown in a hotel water tank. This movie is called Dark Water and it has some eerily weird connections to the Cecil Hotel, but this movie came out 10 years before she went missing. I wanted to mention this because the name "Sisi" was said multiple times on the spirit box, but it must have been "Ceci"; perhaps Lam's spirit was referencing this character from the movie? Not to mention that the mother in the movie sounds like the name of the Black Dahlia, who was also last seen in this hotel before she was found dead. In complete honesty, although I'm theorizing-I do respect the conclusion that Lam may have been experiencing a psychotic episode from not taking her medication while staying at the hotel. The autopsy report showed no use of drugs in her system. I never got to see the documentary/docu-series as I do not have Netflix, but the only thing I'm still wondering is if her laptop was ever found and where her clothes were when she was found in the water tank.

the elevator game is so eerie. i played it once with my friend in 2017. my friend ended up disappearing in 2019, hence my name, but i also met someone (that day) who is a big part of my life nowadays. unfortunately, he hasn’t been found. his family couldn’t bare it i guess, & disappeared too. i haven’t really thought about it until now, the family always moved around town, but this time they were gone forever. ugh. i used to get calls from his phone, i’d pick up but nobody would be on the other side. it’s so weird. but hey wasa, if you see this, please come home. we miss you so much idiot.

Usually most times things attach to people is because they are the easiest to attach to. I know personally whenever I am somewhere most thing will attach to me since I am so easily manipulated since I’m usually the youngest. With Corey he has had that spirit attached to him since he was little and it’s probably trying to protect him.

I even caught one of the dolls turn and look at me as we entered a room, it made me so uncomfortable but it kept me from going into rooms that could harm me and when it thought I would be injured or have something attach it stopped me dead in my tracks.

i think the saddest part about elisa lamm's story is how real it is. her case was closed recently, and the fact that her mental illness played the largest part in her accidental death is heartbreaking. she had stopped taking her medication, spiraled, and the paranoia you see on the elevator cam is really just that. so, remember to check in your friends, keep taking your medication, and never be afraid to reach out for help if you need it.
