I am old and so grateful to you and Christopher for sharing the beauty of Svalbard. This video brought tears to my eyes. The glacier, the whales, the water was simply overwhelming beauty and overwhelming me. I am blessed to see such things even in video which feels close up. God bless you both. This channel means a great deal to me.
@@JustbeoktodayI understand what you're trying to do but it's not that easy... You have any idea how expensive a trip like this would be? If this person has mobility problems, there are going to be a whole lot of hurdles that need to be overcome in order to even get to this island. Yes, we are only as old as we allow ourselves to be but to tell someone to get up and get dressed and go to Svalbard is a little over the top. They aren't going to the corner store- they're going to an extremely remote island in the middle of nowhere.
I agree, I feel blessed to be able to experience this through video, even though health prevents me from doing it in real life. Cecelia captures the beauty of nature so we’ll and her enthusiasm is pure and contagious! 💙
I watch a lot of videos on RU-vid and never comment. I have to say that watching your videos on Sunday, the music over the beautiful scenes, having my cup of coffee, is one of my favorite little parts of the week. You're an artist and a great storyteller!
If you haven't seen the OUTDOOR camping video, you should catch it. Christoffer does a good bit of talking in that one. Talks about the dehydrated food they take, the little emergency stove they keep in the snow machines etc. He was absolutely chatty.. lol
They way Cecilia sounded extremely touched and sort of melancholic all the way throughout the video, makes it really feel how magnificent it must be out there. Absolutely beautiful
The polar bear threat "ruins" every single natural beauty of this place live exploration, and it makes me feel bad about the people who really went there
Because of you two my interest in Svalbard sprouted. I'm Australian and have just moved to Slovenia. I'm closer now to all the wonderful adventures that call me. 70 years old and a bit challenged physically. I will do what I can do. Definitely hope to spend time in this cabin.
You do the most fascinating things Cecilia and Christoffer. Thank you for taking us along and teaching us some incredible stuff about this area you visited. The cabin is gorgeous as well as the glacier’s. Have a good week! ❤
Like you said unreal and mesmerizing(ly and breathtakingly beautiful!!). Watching you guys like ants on that massive glacier (on the drone view) - it makes it real how insignificant we really are in comparison to nature! Love it!! Just the sound, sight and smell of nature ( apart from the yummilicious looking meals and Tintin and the folks that provide such an awesome retreat)!! -Thankyou so much for sharing!
Oh, what a little slice of Heaven ! ❤❤ Thank you, Cecilia and Christopher for taking us with you on the wonderful adventure!!! The glaciers are amazing 🤩!! And to see the whales! Love it!!❤❤
You have the most beautiful videos, and the background always amazes me. It's funny how Christopher said he has "dropped" by there a few times for coffee or a BBQ like its just down the street or something and you don't have to take like 3 different boats and risk your life to get there, lol.😂😅
What a cute cabin! It’s kind of like hostel meets bed & breakfast + gorgeous scenery! Walking on a glacier would definitely be a lifetime experience for anyone. Thanks for bringing us along!❤️❤️
And it's great how the cabin blends, almost disappears, into the scenery. Very difficult to spot from more than a few hundred meters away. No garish colors.
That would be an absolute "DREAM VACATION", ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW😳😲😯😲 Waking up having morning coffee watching about 20+ Beluga Whale's 😳😁😁😁😁😁👍❤️ amazing!
❄️Stunning, and breathtaking video, Cecilia and Christoffer! Thank you for sharing this amaaing glacier trip with us. I'm a Northerner from Minnesota USA living in the warm South, your videos have helped me make the decision to move back home so I can go ice fishing, ski and be in the land of snow, cold, and Minnesota Nice as we are called. Hugs to Grim❤️
Oh my gosh, that was absolutely magical. I feel like I just had a mental and spiritual vacation. Thank you so much for taking us with you and letting us share in this amazing experience!
Cecilia watching your videos makes me regret not doing things like this when I was younger. But thankfully I get to experience them through your spectacular videos. But here's the thing, I never knew I wanted to experience these things until I discovered you on RU-vid. Please keep posting I absolutely love them. ❤️
It IS good to start traveling young, but, you can do it when you get older. Too much work until 71, at 70, after my husband survived 5 needed major surgeries in 3 years, and i survived three recent, one 3+ hours for cancer, i said, we have a chance and may never have another chance. We sold our hone, live on our social security and my husband's small pension monthly. Traveled all over. We made it to Nordkapp this year. I am in love with Norway and Scotland. Both are different but connected. Wonderful people, stunning nature surrounds you. Never give up. Take a chance. Cecelia inspires me more every video.
Love the Beluga's-when we lived in remote Alaska and had our own plane and I was 8 months pregnant in the month of July-hubby took me up and to our surprise there were over 400 Beluga's feeding and we flew around and marveled at the sight-they are amazing.!
I can never get enough all the things you both get up to in your daily lives I find it so interesting. There can't be many places where you can have your morning coffee and watch Beluga whales........amazing. Thank you to you and Christoffer for taking us along with you x
Christopher is truly something special ❤so Happy seeing him become less and less shy each video he is in😊 i am so happy y'all got to go spemd 24 hours in that stunning cabin ❤❤ such a beautiful sight and its possible for all of us thanks to you ❤ 🙏
This has to be one of the most beautiful and incredible and thought provoking places IN THE WORLD!! I am so happy that you had the experience of it!! To know Christoffer has friends there and has visited a few times is just a better glimpse into his world and isn’t he a man of many wonderful layers??😊I would so love to sit around a fire and hear some of his stories!! 🥰 I’m rather sure this is something I probably won’t get to do in this life but, if I had know of it when I were younger, I would do everything in my power to find my way to this magical place. I’m just drawn to it…right through your beautiful video. Thank you so much for bringing this experience to us…❤️✨
I love that you live surrounded by all that beauty, but that it never gets old to you. You and Christoffer are always so appreciative of living where you do and so welcoming that we feel like visiting friends each week. ❤❤
Dear Cecilia, you and Christoffer are wonderful people, I would like you as neighbors. I didn't think that Nordenskiöld Lodge was so beautiful and interesting as an experience, I want to spend a few days in that location and I thank you for letting me discover it
What a stunning landscape and the cabin looks amazing! Really surreal! 😍 You know, Dutch people often say that Dutch people are everywhere. 18:03 confirms that once again. At one of the most remote places in the world! 🤣
Cecelia and Christoffer, what a beautiful vlog! The cabin looks like a fantastic place to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. The drone footage is amazing and the pod of beluga whales so relaxing to watch. ❤
I was wondering where Grim was, so good on Kristoffer for checking on him. What a remarkable adventure. I loved the different blue colors in the glacier. Thank you so much for taking us along. Leigh, Texas
Wow thank you for sharing the amazing beauty of the glaciers! And the beluga whales . I love watching your journey in life I disabled so I truly appreciate your videos keep them coming Jill
I love watching your channel every week. To live out in ALL the beauty you get to enjoy everyday is such a blessing! I find myself tearing 😢 up at just how BEAUTIFUL it is there. Especially the glaciers and when you show all the whale pods. You and Kris are living a life I could only dream about. Thank you so much for sharing Nature's Beauty with us every week! Snuggles to Grim, please😊. ❤you all!
I am Dutch as well, but I did not notice Rogier was Dutch before he introduced himself and said his name! Usually we have pretty strong accents when speaking English, or we just sound like Americans, but I think Rogier also speaks Norwegian fluently or something because his accent was nowhere near Dutch. So cool. His food looked very high quality as well! I get what he was trying to say, going into town, you miss the peace and quiet of the cabin area. So beautiful. I'm sure so many people would want to visit it now, yet so few will have the chance to.
This was incredible. I would love the opportunity to hike on a glacier. What a beautiful cabin. I love how Christopher checked on Grim 4 times. You love your puppy so much❤. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I think that you are having such a wonderful and unique experience in this remote cabine and you are really lucky to have it. The Svalbards offer a fantastic scenery, then the glacier walking!! It is perhaps one of the most beautiful, at least for those, like me, who love the Northermost places, on earth. Excellent video. Thank you
Been watching you for a while but this …….. I get. And is now on my bucket list. Canadian. Who lives much like you do. Except for the polar nights. But we come close where we are. For you and Christofer to come here was an “ah ha” moment for me……respectfully realizing how big Norway is! Much like us as Canadians. And those who have no clue what happens 14 hours drive North!!! But so gorgeous. Mind boggling. You and Cristoffer should count your blessings.
I live vicariously through you, Cecilia ❤ your drone shots are spectacular too! You can't imagine how much I appreciate you taking us on your adventures.
I’m too old & arthritic to go and stay there, that’s a hard realisation to get to. I’m so pleased to be able to experience it with you, and I thank you for that. 😊
Wauw Cecilia& Christoffer what an spectacular place to visit 😮🤩 the views are beyond Breathtaking ❤ I can see you spending longer there Cecilia photographing the Glaciers enjoying the peace ,wildlife Absolutely gorgeous what an experience & Gorgeous tintin . Thank you so much for taking us a long have a Good week 🥰
Hi there Cecilia and Christopher - What an amazing place. Thank you both so much for bringing us along. Stay safe and healthy and keep brining us amazing videos 💟
Magnificent!!!! Perfect location of building away from activity yet close enough. I do hope little change there in next five to ten years. You must return to video❤ I understand his heart pulling having to leave after each season. It was wonderful listening to Christoffer experience there. Should share more.
I love that Christoffer now works with you on your channel. He is entertaining and informed, I really enjoy what you both work so hard to bring to us every week. Thank You.
Glorious and wonderful! This is now a lovely new adventure to put in my dreams. 🙏🏻🔥 How does it feel to touch the sky and drink that pure ice from heaven? ❤️ I’m glad you got to share Christopher’s experience to this remote lodge… finally. 💕I am enjoying your journey ‘almost’ as much as traveling myself… your lens on life is beautiful. Thank you. See you again soon.
What is incredible thrill to be able to stay at this cabin, completely surrounded by majestic mountains, glaciers, fjords, Wells, and wildlife all around ❤. Wow! The cabin looks incredibly cozy and simply beautiful.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience with us. It is so magic to see the pristine environment protected and respected, with it’s happy animals and considerate humans. I live in Australia and unfortunately we are not doing a very good job here. The world has a lot to learn from Svalbard!
I already commented, but I am in such awe of your incredible adventure, and had to tell you how completely mesmerized I was by this mystical world! My favorite video so far-and that is saying a lot! All I can think about is having glacier ice🤣😘❤️💕love from USA
There is NO WAY I would go there. I got anxious just watching it. The remoteness, the danger around every corner....too much! I watch it with fascination though.
Love watching all your videos. This one was especially beautiful, the drone footage of all of you walking on the glacier was especially breathtaking. How blessed you all are to be able to experience Gods creation. I live vicariously thru your videos since I probably will never be able to visit Svalbard., so thank you for sharing you journey. PS I love how much more comfortable Christoffer is in front of the camera. ❤❤
So beautiful. The part about sleeping upstairs due to the polar bear threat made me wonder, if they can potentially get in the building, is someone keeping watch, is there some type of alarm, how is that managed? Camping in Yellowstone I was hyper aware of the potential for a bear encounter. I had to laugh at your comment about liking polars bears chunky and good hunters. Less likely to bother a human I would hope.
Polar bears are the only bear species that will actively hunt humans for food. Other bears will stay away from humans or only attack if they feel threatened. There are videos of polar bears breaking windows/doors to get into cabins, but they are not professional burglars so you will easily hear them entering lol.
5:36 I had to watch this a dozen times. Something about the look on the dog's face right before booping the camera, Cecilia saying "oh wooow" followed by the laughter and just letting a dog be a dog is a heartwarming scene. ❤
