Enjoyed the class. Thank you for taking the time to make it special for the kids. When we got there, all Kody (Iceboy) wanted was ice, when we left, all he could talk about on the drive home was wanting to go back and take another class. Kudos for giving him another perspective on the world. And thank you to all your instructors as well. Again, well done!
Every time I watch one of your pack videos you share a very useful tip. This video I learned to put my sail needle in my match case to protect the needle and my pack! Thank You for everything you do!
Love the video. Love all your videos. You speak with a humble voice and have zero problems sharing experience or knowledge to your followers or anyone that wants to learn.
If you enjoy military surplus the newer medium ruck sack is great on space and attachability with the Mollie system it also had a light weight plastic frame which really hugs you and makes the carry great
Man I need to learn more from your packing style. My overnight load out is usually around 50 lbs. I can hack it but I'm not getting any younger so at some point I wont be able to. Really appreciate the advice.
Dave, this summer in southeast Ohio is not as hot as it has been in the past few years, I am in Hocking County, the weather seems to be nice for this time of year, great video as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You always give me great ideas Dave, I set my rush 12 up for those ''Just in Case'' moments you need to spend an unexpected nights in the woods... It comes in at 12 LBS , Thanks for all you do
It's always good to see how other people pack. Sometimes find something new. Thanks for showing looking forward to seeing other tips and tricks. Like I tell my kids if you think you know everything you don't.
How do you like the Dream Hammock? I've had a Hennessy, Warbonnet and currently use a Simply Light Designs but thinking of testing the Dream which is pretty much the exact thing to the SLD Trail Lair. I use Wigwam exclusively as well. Make sure you check out the Silky F180. Very similar to the Laplander and my favorite saw. Good stuff!
Another informative video as usual Dave. Thanks and I'll be purchasing my hammock and tarp set up as you have, from your store. Great prices on many items in my opinion.
Weather looks perfect out there Dave, have a great time imparting some knowledge on the teens, maybe some of it will stick and enrich their lives someways down the track.
People just need to know I guess. Hope you’re doing well in lieu of your current loss Dave. Many blessings to you and your wife. Glad you all got out of the house and stayed alive friend.
Looks a lot like the kifaru scout I have. Except my scout as a little nicer suspension system. I like the 2 qt canteen system for hot weather. Simple and effective.
As a test carry both the Laplander and the Silky. See which one you go for first for most tasks. Just roll with it don't try to purposely favor one or the other. Just let it play out. The extra weight will be practice.
He will go for the one he favors most which is the Laplander. But its good hes trying out the Silky at the moment. I have both myself and i think they are both good saws.
I own and use both the Laplander and a Silky Saw. Of the two I personally prefer the Silky. Primarily because the blade is thinner which means having to remove less material per cut. I once did an off the cuff test on a 4" diameter tree limb (wind fall) to compare the two. The Silky was noticeably faster and took less effort. Having said all that the Laplander is far more robust.
Great information as always my friend 😇 I been using the coffee pot for two days now and love it lolol my wife is eye balling it...... Looks like I better get another. Blessings to you and your family 😇
That is a modified CFP-90 Combat Patrol Pack. Looks like PALS webbing was added. I ditched the crappy shoulder straps and added ALICE pack straps in place.
+wildernessoutfitters Is there some kind of separate first aid kit you attach to this bag? This was really interesting to see, thank you for the video.
Thanks Dave always love to watch your videos. I see you still have not come out with a cloth Oil tarp that you talked about in a video you did around the beginning of the year. Any update on that project? I start walking with a small pack in the morning. I think that is a great idea.
Dave...you should check out some of the packs that ULA (Ultra Light Adventure) offers. Pretty damn light for the material, several color options (camo's included), and very versatile for many means. Oh, and one of the most comfortable packs I've ever worn. Good stuff!
Sweet and thank you and the guys at your knife shop making awesome working( tools knives )I have the phantom 2 and scorpion for the ole lady she loves as well as I do but I can't use it just once lol
Howdy dave, I am using a pattern 58 webbing set and I am loving it, it takes a little time to get setup to fit your body butt once that's done it rides my body amazing.... You can still find good sets on ebay just wanted to share this with you
Great. Do you hang your food at night to prevent bear activity? Would you do a video on gear for a long hike like the 2,190 miles of the Appalachian Trail, please?
Aren't most Wigwam socks only 20% wool? Does the wool factor not matter as much to you during this "trekking" series? Keep the vids coming Dave. Very informative!
Hey Dave, it's really nice to see you, brother. There's more Color on your arms, and what about your hair, man? I havn't seen your Clips for a long time. Since I've finally what useful to subscribe. Thanks Dave!

This is the first time i hear you mention fjällräven (of which i am a huge fan). Do you use anything else from that brand other than the jacket you mentioned? By the way, wich model is it?
