Hi guys! In this episode, we are taking a trip on an overnight train across Ukraine. It was 11 hours trip in the double room compartment, and the ticket price was 700 UAH(19$) per passenger.

The fact the trains are running is just great considering the circumstances in Ukraine right now. I think i heard some of the newer trains are being used for hospital carriages they are clean and more hygienic, which makes sense. It's so good to see you guys safe, I couldn't believe how busy the station was, I hope people realize it can be bombed at any time, also this train has to have blackouts at night. stay safe, thank you for posting updates.

I love the old train, it reminds me of my travels through Sweden from south to the north 40 years ago. "Lapplandspilen". Got onboard in the evening and woke up at the destination next morning.

Wow that was awesome thanks Pavlo and Luba brought back so many happy memories when i was on the train from Sochi. and then from Murmansk south to Moscow wow. Who knew that they would be almost the same in Ukraine. i always wanted to hop on one when i was there.. just for the ride to say i was on one. But i had private car and driver and she wouldn't let me. Love the countryside thank you for sharing. have fun be safe you two are always in my heart!!. May only god things come to you ....

It remembers me some trains I took when I was a child to go in vacation in the south with my family, but the toilet were better though. Now it doesn't exist anymore I guess, they have been replaced by high speed trains and the journey is too short. It was funny for a boy, I loved this ambiance at night, it has some secret vibes, with mysterious adventures. The noise was part of the experience with the rhythm given by the wheels on the track (Tac, tac, tac tac...... tac, tac, tac, tac). I always loved the night, it's special. Now is like floating on a cloud, no noise, no feeling of speed, or movement, and still you go faster than 300 km/h. I love it too because I love technology and futur. It's very different. Thanks for experience and memories. 🙂

wow, great story!) here we called that sounds “tuuutuuu-tuuutuhh”, this is how track and wheels play:)) usually we have new trains and compartment, but if you want to make your trip more cheaper, you can still choose old carriages or train cars.. I also noticed that on all routes we have mixed carriages, old, new, common and private:) on any budget:) your welcome! Thanks for watching!❤️

23 years ago in Serbia there were no long distance trains because of Nato bombardment. An international train was hit on 12. 04.1999. As per Carla del Ponte it was a legitimite target, because the target was the bridge and not the train. 20 people died on this train. So it's great to have a wifi on the train during the war.

I’m so proud of you and Luba and also for the Ukrainian railway staff. I know many of them (100’s) have died during Russia’s invasion, to keep the network running. I have taken the train a few times from Kyiv to Lviv, Odessa and Truskavets. It’s fun but usually to hot or to cold or some other passengers snoring to much. But this is Ukraine babe(as my Katya says) and I love it. Love u guys, 💙🇺🇦🇦🇺💛

You got a good bargain getting first class tickets. I've only been in second class compartments. Always exciting to find out if the train is a new one or not, and also who you might have to share with. Always seem to get on in the dark with no A/C. Once moving the light come on and hopefully the A/C is working properly! You seem to have a good провідниця as well.

Reminds me of the trip from Moscow to Velikiy Novgorod. Those Soviet era trains have that distinct clunk and drumming hum . Even suburban trains are large and have a solid tank feel to it.

I like the old car, it looks cozy. In the US we don't have old train cars like that, everything has to be shiny and new. You can take a ride in a sleeping car like you are here, but it costs like $800 to go a similar distance as you have! Stay safe and warm, long live Ukraine!
