A 4-3-3 tactic is one of the most popular within Football Manager and within real-life football but everyone has their own variations. I set the amazing GYR the challenge of coming up with the best 433 tactics out there after the Winter Update and he has come back with this overpowered FM23 tactic.

I have always made content throughout my professional career, however, it has always been for someone else. In May 2020 I decided that it was time to create something for myself. Football Manager has always been a game that I have loved so wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the tips and tricks that I've learnt!

I've been trying to look for the perfect tactic and I holidayed the season with hearts with the tactic exact, with unsackable on and I finished 10th, and I lost 11- 3 to Celtic? I downloaded the tactic can you please help?

Would love to see something that was 4-4-2 out of possession but 3-2-5 in attack. It’s very fashionable in elite football now but a version that actually suits the FM match engine would be amazing!

Tx was having a hard time against a team kept losing or drawing using a shit ton of tactics for 2 years in game but managed to come back in 2nd leg of champions league with this although it did eventually go to pens.

I’d say G has worked on this one for longer to get it perfect… If you’re already using Dynamite V2 the transition should be simple enough

great tactic, we were slated to get relegated (1-2000) in my second season in the premire league as AFC Wembledon (my first season in the PL we (finished 11th). our first game in the second season was up against a *Manchester City* and got a tie. (we always lose to them). after this result, i took it as a good sign and decided to Sim the entire season. i assumed we would be in a relegation battle by the end of it but that was'nt the case. we finished 13th. time to get more money affiliates and upgrading facilities bby

I can have more of a look. The thing with the match engine is you gain possession by dominating rather than focusing on ball retention. Ball retention often means slower passing/tempo and this means the other team can get back and more organised which means less goals. I try and make tactics you can use with any team but a tactic like that would be for the elite is my feeling from testing. I will look tho as I like to watch that style so if it can be replicated without compromising results/goals for I am all for it.

Sorry for the rant, I’m not criticising these tactics but they just don’t work at all for me as Chelsea. First game drew at home at Brentford, next game against Liverpool away and got hammered 4 nil and could’ve been worse. I then get beat by Southampton at home. It’s clearly not working?..I left the mentality at attacking? Is this right to do against away tough teams? Should I be doing more? I get I might need the team to gel but do I except that it might not work for Chelsea? I’m not experienced playing game, I use the encourage shoutouts. Really don’t get how people are getting fantastic results. Trying everything really want to give these a go but I’m just doing badly all the time. I’ve asked questions on other forums on tips for the game and nothing back. I deeply regret buying this game.

@@HoodGamingUK using this on the attacking mentality as Chelsea and I’m just getting tonked by the bigger teams especially away from home, sometimes teams like Brighton. Maybe I’m I need to tweak for bigger teams when playing away from home but I’ve never had any success or consistency with this or the one on fm 22. Help!

On this an AF and tbh in general I find the AF is most effective in the match engine and has been for years. I'd like to see other roles match it depending on the tactic style

I don't do it as a rule I just prefer how they are more second strikers while iw cut across earlier or go down the line more. Tbf they are both IF in this so it becomes 3 strikers alot of time in play

I don't use them I find they pull your tactic out of shape unless you match up directly opposite the other team. If your playing against a 442 and your dm is on man mark then who is he marking? Can cause problems

I just simulated a season with Utrecht, without transfers, became champions in the league and also won the cup. I'm speechless. 😂 I also love the fact that the tactic does not have a clear playmaker and uses more "standard roles" that are less covered by the AI.

You have high aggresssion players or need to sub them before the second yellow. I am using it on a save 8 games in and no reds.

Are the players training the roles? Are you resting players enough? It is intense so on the rest training page I tend to add no training to the one just up from the bottom to allow extra recovery and make all.3 subs for tired players once the game is secure
