OVERPOWERED MEDIC - Battlefield 1 

The biggest issue for me when playing medic is a lot of the time I will expose myself to revive a teammate, only for them to skip their revive when I'm 5m away, causing me to die myself. It gets quite frustrating.

the death icon is there on the mini map to let ya boi know that team-mates were killed nearby so there might be an unspotted enemy out of your line of sight you know might be near where your fellow geezer was killed. simples.

The reason that the death icon is on the minimap is so that you can see local deaths of your team mates and track the enemy. That is why they have the big blue circle that appears on your hud, so that you can see the revivable players.

I was in WW1 and 2 I had an 84.00 overall kill/death ratio, and I always played the objective.

The Rigotti has been one of my favorite BF1 weapons ever since the beta. The thing is a beast when you get good at landing consistent shots

Jack the death sign on the minimap is so you know when your mate has died, regardless of them needing reviving or not

I think you can see the dead icon teammate on the minimap even if you can't revive them because it notifies you that someone died over there so it may be dangerous to be in that position of the map.

The reason the icon is there is because it lets you know if a teammate has died it's not just for medic

A great round, but it definitely helps that you had other medics around you who were actually interested in reviving. I've played countless rounds of BF1 where I've not received a single revive.

the dead teammate icon is displayed so you get an indirect sense of where the enemies are. I find it very usefull to be able to know where my teammates died, to know where I'll have a chance of dying as well, but also to be able to know where stuff like tanks and elites are

The icon of your teammate is on the minimap, so you know where they died, so you can hone in on the enemy ,if they killed them close up. Gives a reference of where they got killed from. If your team is mic'd up, you can tell them in which direction from your body

@jackfrags The Sweeper, The Mondragon Storm & The RSC Factory also play well as medic. those are my go to weapons for the medic class. really good in CQ playing Frontlines in Argonne Forrest & Amiens.

Thanks for this vid, Jack. As a "main" medic and as someone who stopped playing BF1 very quickly, this is right up my alley. I didn't quite because I disliked the game, I only play a1-2 a week and just ended up focusing on other games. But every one of your BF1 vids draws me closer and closer back to playing. Considering I have fuck all unlocked and this vid showing the value of an early level gun, I think I'll give it another shot. If you ever do a "Noobz II Men" video on PS4 where you pay with a nub, like me, and teach and carry us forward I'd love to watch or (obligatory) "even participate." Still wearing my JF limited shirt and loving the vids. Keep up the good work!

having the killed teammate icon is actually very useful

Honestly the death icon is useful for intel/recon. It allows you to see where a team mate died so as to avoid approaching an area the same way he/she did and get killed. Therefore you can make a smart play to approach that area via a flank to get the enemy that killed your team mate. That's just my opinion

The death icon on the minimap, although sometimes you can't revive them but it is a sign that he is recently been killed and that there are enemies nearby and you should be careful. That what it's used for, to me at least.

Selbstlader 1906 sniper is a beautiful weapon for the medic class , practically a sniper with the ability to heal/grenade plus the Selbstlader 1906 scope isn't higher than 4X no scope glint bonus , best reload animation in BF1 so far .

I just realized how beautiful this map is

It does make sense that your dead teammates show up on the mini map, I use that all the time to track enemy movements. Sometimes its a long range kill but 75% of them are medium to close range (assault, support & medics) and its very helpful to know where and how the enemy is moving. It works the same as a spot flare, although you dont know the enemies' exact location, you get a good general idea of where they are. Very helpful imo

Cei-Rigotti Trench, my favorite weapon. There was prototype version of this rifle which had box magazine and fired with 900RPM. Just imagine if DICE implemented it into the game.

I have that same Cei-Rigotti camo, was the first camo that I got, and it's also funny because the first-ever kill I got in the game was with that gun's bayonet in Argonne Forest lol

The death icon shows on the map even if the dead person is not revivable/skipped their revive. Maybe they could change the icon for those who need a revive on the mini-map or for those who have already skipped it. For instance, adding the triage to the map icons.

Hey jack I don't know if you'll read this but the autoloading extended mags I find to be pretty awesome. I tear it up because it can compete with hellsriegal and has good ammo capacity. I run autoloading on close quarters and selbstlader on open maps

Dead mate icon makes sense because you know where your people ran into enemies

The skull icon for your dead teammates can help you find enemy's despite spotting them.

I really enjoy that map. I think it works well no matter what load out you use
