Reminds me of the time I used to babysit for my wealthy friends and they would come home telling me what a wonderful time they had at the restaurant - as they scramble to the fridge to make sandwiches for themselves...
You go to places like that with French cuisine etc for the flavor pairings etc cos it’s like a 6 or ten course small menu. You don’t go to eat like you’re at a buffet lol
Lol, one time my co-worker and I went to a dinner program for work at a restaurant in Chicago. It was a beautiful place, and like an 8-course meal, but as soon as we left, we went and found a Mexican restaurant because we were starrrrrving, lol!!! So we were joking to ourselves about what heifers we were being, but come to find out the next day one of the doctors in our office who went to the dinner as well said he stopped at White Castle afterwards, and the other doctor said he went home and scrambled some eggs! 😂 Idk why, but I remember being relieved and thinking, "Wealthy people are people too." Lol
@@Gideon13397 It's definitely a shame that most don't take him seriously thanks to those Batman movies. He was such a fantastic & underrated filmmaker.
I had Culver’s yesterday. They call their burgers Butterburgers not because they dip their burgers in butter, but because they butter the buns before toasting them, which is something a lot of these better burger restaurants do. So the label of Butterburger is kind of a misnomer, but that shouldn’t dissuade you from trying a Culver’s burger because they’re good.
I can't eat steak at restaurants anymore not because of price. It's because I can make it better on my own. Even if I over cook it by accident the sauce i marinate it with good enough to put on anything.
Omg me and my parents went to go visit my eldest sister & her family in Maryland earlier this month and she took me and my mom to a Shake Shack. I had a Shroom burger and it was pretty good 😁👍! We don't have any Shake Shacks here in my towns we live close by. Nothing special overall in my case, but definitely a good burger 😋.
I live in Malaysia and we used to have Wendy's years back. The pretzel burger and Beefanator are amazing. We also had Popeye's before it was closed because Malaysians are very sentimental with KFC.
When they are selling you Wagyu in the states it’s not normally the higher grade wagyu so you won’t taste the difference if you are getting wagyu minimum of a4 marbling score
That's why it's better to cook at home you can make your burgers however you want & as big as you want. Or as I'm hearing go to Five Guys, Wendy's or even Rally's, Dairy Queen.
I remember back in the day 1987 my aunt worked at this hole in the wall charbroiled burger place as a cashier. It was really good I would get a big juicy cheeseburger 🍔 Large fries 🍟 and super size coca cola the total would come out 4 or $5
Falling Down (1993) Michael Douglas goes to a fast food burger place. One problem they stop serving breakfast 🥞 and thats what he wants. He gets into an argument with the manager LoL 👍 😂
@@markbermejo1010 Yeah I got sick of In and Out a long time ago. People would always eat there whenever I went on vacation or on a field trip, not to mention them long winded drive through lines.
No Culver’s here in the Akron, OH area, but we do have Steak n Shake, and it’s fucking fire. Made to order, and they smash the patties. I’ve always been a big fan of smash style.
As a Los Angeles guy, everyone swears by In-and-Out, but I like Fatburger way better. That said, you honestly can go to any ma and pa shop and get a decent burger. I've yet to be disappointed. I'll eat anywhere if it's cheap and nearby. I'm not the biggest fan of Sonic, but it's convenient when I'm in a certain area. I do enjoy Shake Shack and Steak n' Shake.
I’m coming from the food industry and it’s a nope I recommend no one to purchase overpriced food, especially in a few hours it will come out the opposite end sorry to say,
No, you're actually right. I was doped before but I at least I had the cash to pay. Those so-called fancy burger joints are always selling overpriced meals and they always come out as meh.
@@Gideon13397 exactly. I see salt bae open a restaurant in Austin and selling nothing but overpriced beef, burgers, fries and salads and you’re right it’s always meh.
Inflation, the cost of both chicken and beef has increased. Restaurants are telling customers due to this reason. like used cars, microchip factory overseas burned down. Now 60% of new cars can't be sold or used. Used cars have the microchip in them already. These used cars are being sold at almost double the price. #HowBadDoUWantACar
American food contains rat faeces and cockroaches. Britain wants a trade deal with the US but the US are demanding that Britain lower their food standards to allow cockroaches, rat faeces and hormone pumped and antibiotic washed beef so American food producers can sell to Brits. Think about what the secret ingredients are when you’re eating your cheap burgers lol Such a different food culture to us, Europeans. Americans are much more impressed by quantity and price than quality of preparation and quality of ingredients. Which is cool I guess because of what’s on your plate. You can’t be fussy if that small dark ingredient on top of your beef ain’t black pepper but Jerry the Mouse’s calling card.
Idk Martin. Have you seen the cost of meat these days?? I know there's a lot of businesses taking advantage of consumers right now, but restaurants serving beef and chicken ARE getting screwed by the big 3-4 US meat packagers who have lost their ever-loving minds pricing this hornone-filled "meat" like it's a damned 16th c delicacy.
If you go to an upscale restaurant and complain about prices you don't need to be there. If you want a cheap burger go to a fast food place. Even cheaper is making food yourself.
