Chaturanga means Four players Chess. Chaturnji means The smart one, in sanskrit.

Chaturanga translates more to "4 pieces" than 4 players though which most likely refers to the 4 types of pieces that any side has (Queen, Bishop,Knight,Rook)

@@ym276 That's probably not true. Naka def would do better than his current rankings suggests, but he's been slipping in classical ranking for the past 5 years or so, much before his stream took off. He's simply a better speed player than a classical one

I love Hikaru and he is one of my favorite chess personalities but there are many times when he or somebody else just shit on really good players for no reason whatsoever.
