Ahhhh...The glorious work of overseeding. I did this not too long ago. It is lots of work, but man, I am happy with my results using Blackout TTF. Great stuff.
Not sure if you're in Minnesota, but it's been a record dry September here. I feel your pain. If you have a big lawn and no irrigation, overseeding this year is a nightmare. Homemade irrigation in small chunks is your best bet. You don't have to do the whole entire lawn at one time remember. But I do realize everyone's situation is different.
Aye! Glad you appreciate the bag as well Carlos. A premium product should have premium packaging in my opinion. We have a few things up our sleeves for next year as well! Thanks for your support Carlos!
My rider also gets clogged. I got a pull behind lawn sweeper for free (market place pickup) and boy can I tell you that was the best thing I’ve used to pick things up. Is it perfect? No but it’s very effective getting the big clumps up then a quick pass with your bagger and voila. Give it a shot !
@@lawnlifevlogs Agrifab is the make. Not sure model but it’s the 38 inch size. I recommend that size even on a large lawn (I have 14k sqft in the back and 7k up front) and I still find it effective. The smaller size helps with storage and also it maneuvers a little better. It carries a ton of of debris so you don’t need to empty it often too
I have Barenbrug RTF going down after this heat wave in the back yard. Wanted to do Blackout TTTF/KBG in the front but I’ll wait til next season and see how this RTF works out.
@@Op-gj3hf i just put down barenbrug rtf on my front sidewalk strips, 2nd week in and it is coming in really nicely, i have a bag of Blackout Kbg mixed with Gci Turf Spreader elite, thats been pre germinating this past week that im going to use to overseed my backyard, looking forward to seeing the results on both
I’m in Denver,CO. My backyard is free to experiment on. It’s nice and luscious but I have no idea how many different seed types are within it. Hahahahaha last seed I applied to it but doubt it took was KGB GRANITE.
I used your PRG and i cut for the first time today after overseeding - MY GOD IS SHE THICK love it. Do you think its safe to start spoon feeding with the simple solutions 3 btls from HD?
Thoughts on dethatching a healthy lawn.....I have the ryobi dethatcher and I feel it's too aggressive.....if you plan on doing an reno sure but if you want to just thicken up your lawn the dethatcher hurts more than it helps...I'm on a tall fescue lawn so that could be it too
While I think you alluded to it a little bit in the video, which of the varieties is most drought resistant? I like Kentucky bluegrass in my yard but it seems to not like it at all, when it's dry out.
Yes. KBG is a water and nitrogen hog. Goes dormant pretty easy. TTTF is going to be your best grass type for drought resistance. Our TTTF looks very similar to KBG with color and leaf width. Does not spread like kbg though
I prefer metal because it does a much better job burying the seed, but it's hard to find super wide metal rakes...when you're doing big lawns its necessary to have a wide rake so you don't kill yourself
I ruined my lawn with the bagger. Reno'd the front looked mint but the back left it as is. And the back is dog shit and full of weeds those mesh baggers must have transferred all types of weeds from the back of my lawn up to the front and those weeds grew 100 times faster than my new grass could and just destroyed the whole one side of my lawn I always start in from the back yard
